Its probably either for the 2010 "universe" line or fan produced. I'm not sure which. Does look official though. The side of the legs look like it could be part of a cassette tape alt mode but the rest of the toy looks like it may not be able to transform; like its a modern day Action Master but with great articulation.

The guy just states that it's a new robot and that he doesn't know which line it's in... Not much info there for now.

both would be welcomed for Universe. Hasbro said universe would be back at the deluxe price point at the very least. So, to see something that may be smaller is good news

It better be official, I swear if this is some fanmade exclusive im gonna be pissed at them and may sure they get taken down for good. These are Hasbo/Takara's characters, and they need to be made by Hasbro/Takara and available in regular stores so the avagera smuchk like me can get them for a reasonable price. I would expect to pay legends/scout price for this guy.

Im getting tired of seeing awesome new Transformers, and then have them not actually be "Transformers" but just some fanmade overpriced figure

Someone said the other day that there's rumours of a new soundwave for the next uni line so it could be for that. most liklley it turns into a box.

It does have a slight whiff of fan made about it but the hands and ball joints look too much like those on other scouts for me to really be worried.

Whatever it is it's slick and I want it already, big win for Hasbro if it's part of an ultra class oundwave.

Looking at the hands has me thinking it's somewhere around the scout sized class which isn't a bad size for Rumble and Frenzy. Either scout sized packaging or they might do something like the twins in the movie line and have two smaller robots in one deluxe sized package.

A lot of the little details just sort scream Hasbro instead of fan made. Plus he doesn't look exactly like his old G1 self which a fan made project would be it looks more like the updates we see Hasbro doing to make the characters a bit more modern so it will be more than just us old geezers buying the toys.

Oh and here's hoping for another version with piledriver arms!

Why would he be kidding? It does get frustrating after drooling over a picture of a new release only to find out it's a fan-made scout class toy that cost $120. Not all of us have that kind of money to throw around on a 4 inch, non-licensed toy.

Well, if it is Scout sized, RH Rumble, and therefore repainted blue for Frenzy as inevitably must, would work. Just get a dremel.

Yes please! Can we have it in red as Rumble, blue as Frenzy, purple as Cartoon Rumble and remolded and repainted in blue & black as Eject & Rewind.

It looks great in robot mode and if 'cassette' mode is half-way decent, I won't mind if it's repainted in every possible colour. My guess though is that it will be an accessory packaged with Soundwave or someone else as Ravage was.

Well its about time. Last universe line up gave us lots of Autobot mini bots and no small Cons. Bring on all of the cassettes, my Ravage is lonely.

Looks official, which is more than I can say for a lot of these secondary market TFs. The hands make me think official release.

I hope to see some prototype figures to the new classics line to get me interested in Transformers again. This would be a great start.

that definitely is a tape bot, the shoulders fold inward, the head probably goes within the chest and the legs come around the side and meet up with the arms to lock in place by the looks of things.

I want to say it's scout sized because of the hand size but could the tabs on his knees be for attaching to something?

Yeah, after taking a long time out from TFs due to several lines that I found quite boring, some more good Universe figures would be a breath of fresh air.

This one looks sweet... can't wait to see more.

Edit: Also interesting looking transformation. Like the cassettes, the head appears to slide into the body and the shoulders look to fold up over the head. The arms may bend at the elbow and sit flush next to the torso, whilst the feet fold into the shin area leave the legs to be folded up outside of the arms. All in all, very similar to the original designs, just brought up to date. I really hope this is a future universe release.

If it's not Hasbro's, it's a very nice imitation of Hasbro's aesthetic, judging by the level of detail, jointing and fist sculpts.

What's with the huge boots, scrawny chest and little pin head? Sucks that the old tape is better proportioned. This is worse than the beak on new Ravage. I am disappoint.

Very interesting...The hands and general style definately scream Hasbro, though it could still be fanmade. Hopefully it's official though, and fingers crossed that it will come with, oh I don't know...An ultra class Soundwave!

That's probably an official Hasbro toy. Can't wait to see how it will be released.

It's...ok. Not much to get excited about, really. Those arms look VERY familiar - I'm thinking it's a custom thanks to that.

That looks really cool. I'm hoping that it's an official product. It definitely looks nice enough to be, imo. Seems a little too early to see prototypes like this for Universe, but who knows, they could have started earlier than usual this time. It'll be interesting to see how it transforms. It looks like it does, but it's hard to tell exactly how it does.

Edit: One of the things that's making me think this is official, other than it looking so, is that most of the good fan-production groups anounces future figures they are making, and reveal concept drawings and the such, before ever showing a prototype. Even then it would have been revealed by them, and not leaked like this. Though at the same time there are some that don't follow that process.

Yea, the arms do look familiar, but I've seen similar designs on scout figures from the Energon/Cybertron line.
