I can get that since my brother enjoys Takara MP Grimlock (as he has one) amd probably will get the USA one as well (but that's his choice).
I guess one safety change will be the usual dulling of sharp points.
I finish up by saying: It's great that it is coming out in the USA for the people who want it, that makes me happy.

I knew MP Grimmy was too "durable" a design to remain Japan-exclusive. (relative to Megatron or Starscream-n-pals, anyway). I'll be waiting, and hopefully it won't be like Wal Mart Starscream, where I saw one toy once in a store, never to be seen again.

ok good news but now i'm in a bind. i was planning on ordering grimlock this week but now with this news i'm not sure if i should wait. honestly,i have a bad feeling the us version will suck though. i just think hasbro will really kiddie this version down and i'm sure it'll be another ridiculous store exclusive that'll be damn near impossible to get like stress mark screamer was. the one thing i do hope for is that he doesn't come with retarded,useless, gimmicky accessories like the takara version. man 2010 seems way too long to wait for this guy. can't wait till we get some pics eventually.

The only thing I can see them doing is dulling the claws, which are incredibly sharp on takara's.

Ahh, excellent. I got the Takara version, but I would love to have a cheaper Hasbro version as well and I'm looking forward to seeing the differences. I just really hope it's not a nother WalMart exclusive.

More robot heroes damn it! I really think they will release those here eventually. Seems pretty insane to have made them and not release them at all. Lots of work for nada? That's not how Hasbro rolls. I am sure the people that just blew almost $100 a fig on those "unrelease" robot heroes may be kicking themselves in around 6-8 months.
Oh.. and US MP Grimlock is pretty f'n awesome too. Not sure what the heck I'll do with 3 of him though...
