MARVEL Super Heroes and Villains gain a brand new super power as they converge with the TRANSFORMERS world.
Kid-favorites such as Spider-Man, the Hulk and Iron Man can disguise themselves by changing into realistic vehicles like a motorcycle, a tank and a jet.
MARVEL TRANSFORMERS CROSSOVERS include eight Super Heroes in 2008. Look for these to hit shelves this summer with a SRP of $14.99 each starting off with the following:
- Tank to Hulk
- Fighter Jet to Iron Man

Cool. While all the info is old news, the images are new. These new pictures make them look, more like toys, as the official pictures we got from Toy Fair were obviousley photoshoped to make them look better. Still want them though. Here's hoping for some Venom pictures to surface soon.
Deceptigtar:
These have kit bash written all over them, Iron Man could be a good Starscream or another Seeker. Be interesting to see what ppl would since it would be like basically having a new mold.
Night Flame:
I can so see that Hulk as Optimus Primal in somewhat different colors.
Smkscrn GT:
Those are nice. Much better looking than the SWTFs IMO.
RandomFerret:
These vehicle modes are not as realistic as we were led to believe.
I'm pretty disappointed. These are just Megamorphs done slightly better. SWTFs at least have good vehicle modes

The only line coming out this year that I can remember saying that would be the new Universe line. Even then there are some in that line that have not-so-realistic alt-modes, though those are the repaints in the line, and only part of one of the new molds (Galvatron's gun).
aey103:
I have to say I am more impressed with these than the Star Wars Transformers, but unlike the SW Transformers not impressed enough to buy any. I'm a sucker for X-Wings and TIE Fighters.

shumworld:
i'm guessing we'll get a Stealth Ironman jet and a Gray Hulk tank repaint somewhere down the road.
Railguard:
I didn't read the Marvel/Transformers crossover but I think it would be better to have different molds for tranformers than to have these Marvel figures transform into bots. I just think its kinda silly.
Silent_Magnus:
I'm getting a Frankenstein's Monster vibe from Hulk.
Although I want to see Venom more then these two.
Since we already saw these at toy fair.
Grimwing:
I'm hoping their at least as big as swtfs to justify that price.
I agree the proportions are awesome. They look like something I as a Transformer fan might enjoy despite only limited contact with marvel products. Not a fan of the hulks super blocky headsculpt but maybe it will grow on me. He is a robot after all.
edit: just noticed someone needs to paint the hulks right thumb. It should be silver.
e3nine:
Marvel + TFTM's Fast Action Battlers = this

Smasher:
I'm a little torn.
The robot modes appear to suffer from none of the problems that the SWTF suffer from, but they just don't appeal to me enough to buy them.
Zie:
I can see myself eagerly and happily getting the Hulk. The way his treads transform is pure genious and the fact that he's such a unique tank-former makes him stand out imo. Though he will need a new head, and maybe a new paint job, I think he'd be a great addition to the TF's ranks.
Ironman, well, I'm not sold on him as much. Something about him just don't sit right for me.
Razerwire:
I think I will have a hard time passing these up for some reason. Hopefully when I hold one in my hands I can make an easier pass.
Magelite:
So the lines offically called crossovers? It's not much of a crossover since it's just marvel characters, but does this mean we'll see other crossover lines in future?
Oh, and these looks leaps and bounds better than the SWTFs.
ViperDragon:
These things look like those Playskool Gobot toys with Marvel characters (i.e. look at Ironman's jet mode). Big and bulky. Could be good for the younger kids like the Gobot ones were. To be better they need the more realistic vehicle modes in order to get my money.
Goaliebot:
These look like terriffic kitbash fodder!
I just need a good supply of heads...
Storm:
new head on the hulk + qucik paint = instant animated Brawl
Paradigm-Shift Prime:
Yeah they don't look very good to me. That Ironman looks terrible in both modes.
Frognal:
The vehicle modes are kinda meh, but as a whole they're a shit ton better than SWTFs.
Ash from Carolina:
I guess I'm just a weird bugger because I've got to have a wee sliver of logic. Iron Man Transformer I can sort of see, but the Hulk smashes tanks already so why would the Hulk ever need to be a robot? Unless it's like the Star Wars stuff with the whole "mech" thing, but even then the Hulk drive anything???
Would have been happy with something like Star Scream that transforms into the X-Jet or Iron Hide that transforms into the Predator's van, but sort of run of the mill vehicles that transform into Marvel characters is just a bit weird for my taste.
Guess it's a good thing we've never gotten a GI Joe/Transformers crossover or we'd end up with a motorcycle that transforms into Snake Eyes rather than Prime transforming into a HISS tank.
Eric:
Damn, these things are WAY better than the Star Wars TFs. I'm gettin' Hulky and Iron Man the first time I see 'em in stores! Fort Max:
Damnit, let's have pictures of some of the others already.
Ramrider:
I'm not overly struck with Iron Man; the mech mode looks kind of okay, but as was mentioned earlier, the jet mode seems a little Playskool to fit in with other lines. The Hulk, however, I think has a very fun-looking vehicle mode with a lot of potential, and a pretty decent robot mode too. If he's roughly Voyager-sized (which, given the price tag, I assume he is), then I reckon he could be a cool addition to my ranks, given a headswap.

IronicHide:
Really happy with these, even though I'm not a big Marvel follower.
I think they look great new and inventive deluxes.
My only drawback are the huge cavities on IM's forearms.
Will definitely get these two, and others, same as SWTF, absolutely and only depending on whether the individual toy looks cool. (Meaning only Darth Maul and Tie-Fighter Darth Vader interested me, not that I could find them.)
What are our hopes for the other Marvel toys?
Personally, Spiderman would have to something pretty slick - TFA Prowl-style bike, I'd hope.
I'm also hoping for a Wolverine speedster and Doc Ock is just in it, in any form.
I also smell Hasbro repaints of Dr Doom and The Thing from the looks of IM and Hulk...
Beastbot X:
Both of them look great-- SOLD.
I think it very odd and not particularly wise that the initial assortment only contains TWO different Marvel TFs, though. SWTFs started out with four.
Vangelus:
These look a few bajillion times better than the megamorphs. Definitely picking up at least Hulk-Tank, so I can say for certain whether or not these trump the MMs in terms of solidity (ie: do they actually peg together at all).

Fit For natalie:
They're just toys dudes. There's no reason or storyline for them. Just combining two of Hasbro's big properties into one toyline, except done more competantly than SWTF. Quote:

I'm pretty disappointed. These are just Megamorphs done slightly better. SWTFs at least have good vehicle modes | These have pretty good made-up vehicle modes, like most TFs these days, with good robot modes that actually look like robots that embody the design of the Marvel heroes while remaining TF-looking robots.
SWTF had (mostly) accurate vehicle modes to accompany pretty awful robot modes that, partly due to marketing needs and probably due to Lucasfilm directive, were designed to try as look as much like their pilots as possible, otherwise the toys would have been "tiny Luke Skywalker figurine with TRANSFORMERS X-WING!". Kids buy the SWTFs for the character and the vehicle associated with the character, not the vehicle alone.

Hulk plus WWII German tank destroyer = BUY!BUY!BUY!

| The Hulk would not drive it as The Hulk. He'd drive it as Bruce Banner.
And I think Ironman's robot mode works out nicely because he's already robot looking, Not sure if I'm going to pick up any though. I have to save money for Animated and Universe.
ActionMasterZod:
Is it just me or would that hulk figure make a great animated toy?

I really wanna see a Ghost Rider mold ~<3
y'know Eric-kun you're not a bad dude...
Talk sometime?

Deadend:
As someone else showed in a different topic, Hulk will make a great WWI grimlock for now.
Ironman is just all kinds of love cause you can see stark making something like that to fight TFs.
I'd love to see a new take on Ghost Rider, but the original megamorphs one was the closest to a Ghost Rider 2099. Probably the only megamorph done right, can't wait to see how he fairs in this line.
Also, SHIELD HELICARRIER IS A MUST! Please hasbro, make one already! Preferably supreme Sized like the death star, but I'll take voyager-leader too. =D
Hulk reminds me of hulk smashers.
"HULK SMASH PUNY TANK!" Tanks transforms and tries to fight back brute strength vs brute strength.
As for story...
It's pretty easy short of what I already mentioned, just say SHIELD came in possesion of the AllSpark.
The Stark Designed HulkBuster, and IronMan Deployment Jet came to life, merging the jet with the onboard armor, and the Hulkbuster tank took on the properties of it's main target. Or as someone else suggested, a TF scanned a tank hulk was smashing... Imagination is the only limit here.

Which is probably why the initial waves may only have two marvel characters, because they've got to accomodate their other crossover too.
Frankly, I'll be picking these two up at least. Hulk will be an all new character... thinking of naming him after one of the Pretenders. And Ironman will be called Leader-1... because he reminds me of the old Go-Bot leader in design and I've always wanted Hasbro to do a new Go-Bot subline based on the original characters sense they own the rights to Go-Bots nowadays.
Also, I just have to add that I think their robot modes are tones better than the SWTFs and I like their vehicle modes too... and they seem no more or less realistic to me than anything that we recieved in A/E/C or the original Classics lines. I even gave SWTFs a chance too as I bought a few myself from wave 3 and waves 1 & 2 plus the Falcon were bought for my b-day by family... the only figures I even liked were Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Han & Chewbacca. Everything else stunk and I didn't like the others enough to keep them because they had a lot of glaring design flaws IMPO. These new MTFs seem to have fixed a lot of those problems and it's probably because they only have to worry about trying to make the toy look like a particular character in robot mode and don't really have to worry to much about the vehicle mode like they do with the SWTFs.
Veloxiraptor:
I actually like the Hulktank, except for it being, well, the Hulk.
Feralstorm:
Think I like the Hulk better than Iron Man, though they both look better than the average SWTF for me. There's a lot of kitbash potential in both. Hulk could make a fair Brawl or War Within Grimlock as some have said. If Iron Man was a little stockier, he could make into a pretty decent G2 comic Jhiaxus, if'n you ask me.
Ruination04:
Don't really see the point, won't be buying them...but that Hulk does look pretty cool. I'd like to see more of these. They look 10x better than SWTFs. Quote:

I'm liking both.
While the vehicle modes are like something out of 1989's lineup of TF, they do a passable job as vehicles. IMO, SWTFs vehicle modes are "better" than MTFs vehicle modes, but the bot modes are MTFs' true strength.
I'll buy 'em, but they won't be Ironman and The Hulk ... they'll be regular cybertronians. Guess it's time to order more autobot/decepticon stickers. Quote:

B-Fox:
Is it just me, or does Iron Man have human eyes complete with pupils and some skin-tone paint around them showing in the slits of his helmet's faceplate?
Ramrider: Quote:
Originally Posted by Silent_Magnus The Hulk would not drive it as The Hulk. He'd drive it as Bruce Banner. | Depends on which Hulk. Hulk with Banner smarts could drive it too. Or Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit, but that'd be better for a redeco - and we know how much Hasbro hates to do redecoes...
I s'pose with a little retooling of the Iron Man mould, you could have a passable War Machine, too...
Deadend:
I still wish these were comic book vehicles turned into mechanized versions of heroes but oh well. They still look pretty sweet the more I look at them. Ironman's upperarms could have been designed a little better but otherwise perfect.
Hulks head is a bit too frankensteinish for my taste, Grimlock head, or Mr. Fixit retool or something. Personally I think all ironman heads would work... But that wouldn't be Marvel Transformers, that'd be Ironman ones. Those could have an easy back story too. "Stark (sword, shield, banner, doom, Richards, etc) created a defense from other Transformer tech by adapting it for themselves." (Movie tie-in through toy nod.) Heck, that line can be used for all sorts of toys to criss cross universes. And all you're doing, is stating the title quite obviously in a short vague story form. It makes for interesting what ifs, or even for kids to go wild with Ironman and Starscream dogfighting with general grievious hot on ironman's tail too... Hulk and Bulkhead duking it out.
I'm still hopeful for the avengers gestalt eventually if these sell well.
NGW:
Wow they look bad.....
