The set is too big and too heavy, international shipping cost is gonna kill me...but what hell? I am still gonna buy them regardlessly Skyripper:
I hope we brits can get ahold of this, the i spy for teletran 1 looks cool. as for price I have spent more on less in the past so this won't be a problem
Johnator:
That looks pretty good. I will have to think about this.
Trailbreaker77:
Going to pick up two sets myself.
primal-convoy:
I would like to see:
- Rocky, Mt St Helena parts in either the interior, the exterior or both.
- Cheap LEDs to light up some of the screens (maybe behind some clear screens with pre-printed G1-style computer readout graphics (grids, targeting vectors etc) OR made easily so we can get some clear reprolabeled pics and apply them ourselves.
- designs that will easily allow us to add lights and sounds ourselves (perhaps easy instructions for other parts needed to make it happen if we wish?)
- Some "Maximal" crates and perhaps some mini Maximal and Pred figs to recreate some of the scenes in Beast Wars?
- Generic wall parts so that we can make the base bigger and in the shape as we want it (think Playmobile).
bithomas:
I think the price seems very reasonable. I hope we get the set in orange, but I can live with the grey.
As for the Autobot symbol, I don't understand why iGear feels the need to push their luck with it, since I can easily apply Reprolabels Autobot symbols to the set if I want. While I admittedly don't know what specific copyrights Hasbro has or how the laws apply, I have trouble seeing how Hasbro could make a legitimate infringement claim on a set that they never produced and that probably never even designed, as long as the Autobot symbol (or close approximation thereof) is not present.

I was looking back at all their product and even their version of the Autoscout seems to use the Decepticon logo on it's packaging. Very ballsy and stupid. I don't want to see Hasbro come down on these guys (I think the two playsets and the CC Upgrade set are cool and would like to be able to easily purchase them through online retailers), but if they keep blatantly using Hasbro's Trademarked logos... they may have no choice.
Wonder if it would do any good to email them and suggest that they remove the Autobot logo so that they can be on the safe side with Hasbro looking to potentially crack down on garage companies that infringe upon their IP?

Autobot Spike:
on another note... if i'm not mistaken, isn't the entire THRONE of the Nemesis set one big Decepticon symbol? hmmmm....
And yet, why doesn't hasbro contact them and see if they would like to build sets like this WITH the proper permissions?
sure it cuts a little into the profit margins of the free-lance company, but with proper sanction, it saves them on court costs...
...and if it boosts sales of transformer toys, then they might even cut them a break on royalties.
i just know that i want something like this, and no one else official makes it.
to me that means it's BOUGHT.

frilly toothpick:
oh man. this is cool as hell, but the price is ruining it for me.

. | U sure that is only a little "cut"?
Usually those "cuts" goes between 40% ~ 65% of the profit
Laser_Optimus:
Yeah, I'm actually kind of relieved by the price myself. I was expecting to pay a lot more for this to be honest. Have it preordered and I should have some extra cash in October so it's definitely all good.
AMG:
That is an awesome set.
teruo kaiba:
Very cool set, hopefully it will fit on my display shelf, otherwise I won't be buying it. I'm more excited about the Decepticon base though, mostly for Megatron's throne.

So wasn't the ark colored gold inside on the show?
I'd actually prefer it gray, as in the preview pics.
AllSpark Ferret:
The listing says you get 12 front wall pieces, 12 floor pieces and 4 side wall pieces. The way the base is set up in the picture, there are 12 front wall pieces, 8 side wall pieces and 24 floor pieces. At least two sets will be needed to create the size of base pictured.
I've ordered two as I want it to be as big as possible.

kllrwlf:
I really like this playset... don't know about dropping $120+ on it though.
It's probably worth the money... just don't feel like dropping that much on 1 set.
I might just print out a background picture from my printer and call it a day.
