Generation 1 Sixshot Asia Exclusive Resissue Official Images

By way of Farmer on HK-TF, we have some official pictures to share with you of the upcoming Asia-exclusive reissue of Generation 1 Sixshot. This premium-grade reissue is packaged in robot mode in a bookstyle box, and features chromed weapons as opposed to the flat gray of the original and previous reissues. The main toy deco is unchanged.

According to 2005 Boards member Cadbane, this piece is set to be released at the Animate Festival in Hong Kong this August.

Interesting...though if they were going to go back to book-style, I wish they would've randomly restarted the Collection line for this, even if it was just for Sixshot. At least it'd be a liiiiiittle bit cheaper.

Looks nice though, I will admit.

love it! but it is not worth the 200 or what ever, lol seeming i can get the original or the reissue for about 60.

Yes, the box is a bit more complicated than an Encore box, the Chrome and metallic paint add to the cost.....

...but i'm starting to think Takara have lost the run of themselves.

If you can get the original for 60, i'd say jump on it right now.

Packaging does look really sharp!! And he was such an impressive figure back in the days, if you had this guy, you were the super cool kid at school haha! But with the 3rd party (imo) UPGRADED version coming from MMC I can't justify it's pricing ;[ But for fans of G1 aesthetics I'm sure this is great news!! I just enjoy being able to display my figz in Dynamic Poses. Would pick this up if it was priced LOWER.

Looks really nice, but I can't throw $180+ at it. Gonna have to pass, unfortunately.

I think I would bite if I have nothing else to buy and can get it for under $150, but it is not a priority right now, as cool as it is.

lol i've seen the original for that price at transformerland, and i bought a reissue for 50 there.

they're usually complete at that price.

hmmmm.... My love for the toy and character will let me suck up the high price but I just dont see how it could cost so much unless theirs something they have not told us yet

the only changes I can see are...
Chrome Guns
chrome back wings (maybe they do look lighter then normal)
maybe a little on the legs on the nose cone area

But this could be an old toy in new packing for pre-visual work I dunno

I'm fine with my original G1 Sixshot that i paid $60 in 2009 that is atleast complete with the guns.

Actually base on the pic,the figure is not really full of chrome,only the gun perhaps,other than that,it does not justify the price tag

When & where? All you can get for that price is a loose Sixshot, maybe with or without guns. All loose Sixshot's on ebay are about $60 or more. MIB they are well above $100 and can get up to $300-400 depending on condition.

I got a complete mint G1 Megatron for free. Doesn't mean it's the going price.

I got my Sixshot a year or two ago at a con for $60. He is minty mint, complete and only suffers from sticker wear. $60-$80 is the going price from a mint no box Sixshot.

I haves no idea how they are asking for $150+ on this reissue.

The box does look nice, but you can buy a vintage and send the guns to Chrometech for chroming and it'll cost you < $100

Must say the chromed guns seem a bit... KO-ish? Seems random to only chrome the guns. I'll stick with my Takara reissue from the early 2000s.

Shadowmaru is awesome and doesn't get nearly enough credit. The ninja sword and throwing stars are great additions.

Kinda wish I didn't already have Sixshot because then I would be all over this. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me of Hot Toys packaging or something.

Package is nice, price: not so much. I'll be in Asia Oct/Nov, will consider picking it up if the price is decent there (or if I have luggage space

), even though I already own a vintage.

FYI I bought mine complete last year at TFCon for $80, decent stickers and minimal wear

Yeah, I think $100 is about where I start to balk on this stuff. I'd love for them to reissue that Diaclone Ultra Magnus from back then too but if it was done like this I'd have to pass on it.

If i were in the market for a G1 Sixshot, i would look elsewhere than this just to spite Takara.

Price exceeds budget reatraints. Box & metallic paint look nice. The original reissue was nice too. Doubt Tak/Tom would trade original reissue, or original release even up for this one.

It looks awesome. Though the price is odd.
