PurdueAV2003:
For all of you forsaking physical media and going purely electronic, iTunes now has the entire first season of G1 up for
download!
Prowl:
Considering I have my Iphone everywhere I go, and even though I own the DVDs, I wouldn't mind giving my favorites a purchase. I wouldn't mind having Fire in the Sky, or the Five Faces movie on my phone. Thanks for the headsup.
edit: I know it's standard, but two bucks an episode when 44 minute shows are also two bucks seems kinda lame. I wonder if the DVD set will come with Episode downloads like Season 12 to South Park did.
Nightrain:
I'm downloading the whole thing if for no other reason than to support the idea. Hopefully it succeeds enough for future TF series and GI Joe.
Prowl:
20 bucks really ain't bad.
Wingsbr:
So I was looking around through the app store today and I noticed that IDW has a lot of TF comics on sale for .99. I then went to check from my iPhone app store and they were there too.
I also noticed that you can buy the G1 First Season in the app store by the season or individual episodes.
Darth Rodimus:
they have been there for a long time I have had them all on my ipod for like a week.
HIM666fan:
Im getting em all today : ) i cant wait a very good deal seeing them on the Iphone
TheNotoriousROB:
This great!!!!!
I get my new iPhone 3G S today and I know what I'll be downloading tonight!!!!!
NeilD83:
NICE!
lets just hope that they will put more seasons in the future

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats not cool at all. We just wiped the computer, so all my itunes songs are gone. I can still get in my account, but it's just some sample music. Now I don't know if i can plug my ipod in, and not loose all my songs.
soundwaveCA:
Might as well just buy the DVD's.
blackout501st:
awesome! i gotta go pick up an itunes card. im 7 bucks short 2 buy the whole season.
Backpack:
So are they offering the whole season for $20?
I just don't get it. Downloads costing as much as a physical product is just crazy. Then there is always the chance of losing what you paid good money for.
Dran0n:
Cool, but it seems pointless to watch it on such a small screen.
aey103:
Why? With DVD Decryptor and Hand Brake I have pretty much have all of the G1 Series in iTunes format already for free.

There is backup iPod software. I can't remember exactly which one, but I used a freeware one about a month ago when my Win7 RC crashed and I hadn't backed up my iPod in a while. Try google and you'll find free one's, just don't pay for one because there are free alternatives.
Deadend:
If you contact apple, they'll let you re-get anything you've paid for in case of data loss. It's annoying, but at least you do have that option. They have everything you've bought on record.
Joost also has it for free, as does Monkeybar tv.
Though honestly, TF Fans are pirates to the point they kill the shows they love or ones that are worthwhile in watching, so it's pointless to point out the legit ways to get them to us it seems. But let's hope that starts to change after we kill whatever the next series is by doing the same schtick again. (We killed animated, and we deserve to face the music we have become the bane of the media we love.)
DVD Decryptor is awesome for allowing the full range of use of stuff you own. But it's technicly also an illegal application within the USA. Awesome for Hasbro to provide it to us by this means, I just hope we show it's appreciated, and thanked.
Just as we should have thanked CN for providing streams in the past, or MonkeyBar, or etc.
(Speaking of monkeybar, they've since changed their setup, they are now showing FULL episodes instead of the edited down ones.)
zeale99:
If they could do this for Beast Wars I'd be happy.
SmokescreenWRX:
For those of us who actually own the DVDs - in this time of fiscal crunch - might I suggest DVD43 and Handbrake? There's no need to re-buy something you already own.

DVD43 doesn't work with Vista. Only works with 32 bit operating systems, but yeah if own the DVDs there is free S/W on the interwebs that will allow conversion to iPod formats. I too strongly recommend Handbrake.

i still want the all hail megatron thing to happen but this will tide me over.
