*crosses fingers* that would be SO awesome if true, i don't got them and it would be nice to have three insecticons i can get in one bundle that is cheaper and has no chrome wear, and there really wouldn't be anything gutted to make it safe for stores.......and a perceptor would be great to put with my autobots...and the insecticons would make excellent soldier fodder, seeing as i only got one decepticon (soundwave)

That is one of the last G1 figures I would have in mind for HASBRO re-issues. I guess this round of re-issues will not be a repeat of the Commemorative series.

I could see £50 for all four figures, but not for the Insecticons on their own or Perceptor on his own, The takara reissue of the insecticons weren't that much and I saw them in an import stor famous for selling items for more than they're worth.

Those are excellent choices for reissues. The Insecticons especially, what with the high aftermarket price on the TFC set. I'll always troop build Insecticons!
Hopefully they can throw in a DVD with each reissue with some G1 episodes featuring the characters. "Microbots" would go great with Perceptor, and the Insecticons have some choice episodes too.

Awesome news. I've always wanted a Perceptor. I picked up a set of Insecticons a couple months ago on Ebay pretty cheap. The joints were a little loose, two of the three were missing guns and two were missing wings or mandbiles but otherwise in good condition for G1. So I will defintely be picking up a new set.

I don't have any of them so it is great they are releasing them. If it $50 for all 4 then it is a must have. At $50 for each set I don't think I can justify that.

Not figures I'd pick up, since I already have the Takara versions, but still neat choices that make sense given some of the characters in the new movie (Scalpel/Doctor = neo-Perceptor, possible Insecticons in RotF). I'm not sure how well these are going to sell with the general public, though.
Still, I hope it does well so we'll see other reissues Stateside (*cough*RamjetandThrust*cough*).

Sweet! After 23 years my perceptor is a little worn, just a little, but wouldn't mind having a new one to store away. Got really nice deals on really nice Kickback and Shrapnel on ebay last year but still need Bombshell so this is definately win!

My insecticons are in great shape, but my perceptor is missing all missles and has two cracked arm pieces=loose arms.. (the black pieces inside the arms where they pivot). Other than that, it's in very nice shape.
But if someone was to offer me 1 missle minus postage, I'd holding onto my battle damaged one I suppose.

What disturbs me about the American G1 reissue is that the springs are removed from their launcher. And I'm willing to bet that pointy parts are to be flatten?! I'd prefer the Japanese G1 reissue!
