Grimlock_13:
MP Grimz can't get here soon enough.
I don't see the draw to the Alternity stuff but hey to each their own.
SO glad I don't go for Henkei stuff that bright purple Cyclonus looks absolutely awful.
Bahamut Prime:
Nice look on Grimlock!
Stormcrow:
Im praying that Hasbro will release Grimlock. I SO want that figure, but I wont be dropping 150 bucks on it.

Grim pales in comparison to most of the SOC line and other diecast lines from Japan.
Mumps:
Grimlock looks amazing, though you better be able to display his gun in his left hand! I want sword and gun. Oh, and I HATE the clear plastic on the gun! The most useless addition to the toy yet. That part is getting painted over as soon as it comes out of the box.
Megs looks aweful... Prime looked good. Megs looks terrible... No arm cannon, no sale.
SarahMobius:
I'm starting to waver on MP Grimmy. I squee-ed when he was first revealed, but the more recent pics make him look so "OMGG1accurate" that I'm actually turned off a bit. That said, it's a giant Grimlock, that would actually be a lil more dino-scale with my g1 dinobots... so i'll probably still buy him, money allowing.
And seriously... Micky, I laughed and said that was stupid for the first couple rounds of pics... but now I kinda want it o.O what the heck Disney, stop getting into things I love and have to buy.

I want MP Grimlock

Stop with all the doom and gloom talk about MP Megs and Alt Grim. I've got those two at the top of my wants list and all this talk lately is making me terrified of picking them up!! GAHH!! think we'll get a us release of mp grimlock? i hope so.

mp grimlock looks awesome. i dont know if ill be able to wait for his hasbro release like i origionally planned.
Laser_Optimus:
Yeah, I love MP Grimlock. That said... I'm not entirely sold on the price, but I'll pick him up anyways. Frankly, from the beginning when his price was announced I'd been saying that it had less to do with any complexity in the mold or amount of die-cast Takara was going to use and more because of who the freaking' character is. They know people will kill for a toon accurate G1 Grimmy... especially with all the Marvel comics nods he's coming with too.
Deefuzz:
Mickey looks really cool. I think we may actually pick up the Disney label stuff.
lookinglasself:
Light purple or not, Henkei Cyclonus looks AWESOME.

Anti Spark:
Megs will go great with my universe collection.

I agree with both statements.
Man, the more I look at Grimlock, the more I want two. If Hasbro does decide to release it, I'll probably buy one of theirs too.
If they actually are going to release it, I think it would be smart of them to speak up, as some of us who are buying the TakaTomy version would wait if Hasbro would just confirm they're releasing it. However, for me at least, no confirmation means I'm going with the Japanese version.

OMEGAPRIME1983:
What's with the freaggin bickering over in this thread??? I mean common, the guy doesn't like grims, big deal, someone else is gonna buy it in place of this one person, and honestly, if it doesn't sell as well as they thought it would over in japan, I wouldn't be surprised seeing how the dino's weren't all that popular, so his opinion on him really isn't all that unfounded. I myself find grimlock amazing and will be buying him asap, but don't knock the guy for having a freakin opinion of his own.
SentinelPrime:
My main display for TFs has become Classics, since the cast is now getting pretty wide and most of them are awesome combo #1, despite needing some tlc and paint touch-ups.
I'm REALLY hoping that MP Grimlock isn't TOO big to fit in with the Classics. I hated Classics Grimmy, just really didn't seem like a good take on him to me, and way too small. Now I'm using a touched-up Ani Grimlock, which works really well imo.
But if this thing is the same size as, or a bit smaller than MP SS, then I will cry tears of joy, because this thing is 100% spot on cartoon style, with the G1 toy transformation and details. I can see why some would want an update, but man. I've been rewatching the crap out of some g1 eps lately, and this just jumped right off the screen.
kllrwlf:
I'm really looking forward to MP Grimmy! Obvious Prime:
When is Cyclonus supposed to be released?
SilverDragon:
I'm not digging Grimlock's alternate mode. Even if it IS cartoon accurate, it still looks like a mechanical Barney.
The light colouring on Cyclonus looks pretty bad to me. I prefer the darker colours of the Hasbro version.
Sledgehammer:
Really don't understand any of the dislike for MP Grimlock. It's fulfilling its requirements in both format and appearance, and it's got extra twiddly bits for people to fine-tune how they want to present it. But, as Draven said, let the haters hate, and I'll have mine on show on the top shelf of the display case. With red eyes. 0R10N P4X: Quote:

TakaraTomy gives fans A.
Fans ask for B.
That's how it works.
MrFX:
Give people gold bars. They'll bitch about fingerprints.
I am SO looking forward to MP Grimmy!
Golden Age:
good gravy, Grimlock is perfect!
artiepants:
Grimlock remains spectacular.
I wonder why they are still showing Hasbro Ratchet?
PoweredConvoy:
That tends to happen a lot when the release date for a figure previously released in the US (in this case Ratchet hasn't yet, but the Universe deco was finalized first) is more than a month off still. Next month they'll probably show the actual Ratchet & Inferno.

The light colouring on Cyclonus looks pretty bad to me. I prefer the darker colours of the Hasbro version. | Yes, clearly they are damn near identical.... Rodentus prime:
Is that the G2 MP Grimlock repaint on the left?
Soundwave84:
wait is hasbro relaseing the MP Grimlock?

Of course, they were saying the same thing about MP Screamer the year of the first movie and we ended up seeing him as a Wally World exclusive around Christmas time that year... so...
airfox:
Grimlock keeps getting better and better.
I still don't get why so many are still surprised by the price. The Alternities are 1/32 (ie, close to Deluxes) and their price is 1/3rd of Grimlock. Both THS-01 and THS-02 were smaller than deluxes, and were pretty expensive.
Even Soul of Chogokin smaller figures (like Mazinger Z) are priced over $70.
Why is that? IMO it's not due to the die cast, size or character fame, but due to the production numbers and Japan's collectible market. Quote:

MP Megs' problem is not the difficulty, but the fact that it's prone to breakage (I broke one tab on mine )
Alt Grim is indeed hard to TFs, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that problematic. I had much more problems transforming Tripredacus.
