Looks nice, I like the packaging but really miss the styro inserts. Either way this is a great reissue and hope after omega supreme encore gets some other new reissues. At least some that weren't reissued already.

What kind of store is HobbylinkJapan exactly??? They put "discontinued" on the day the item is released every freakin time!!! If they're strictly a pre-order store then they should say so somewhere on the front page. You can hardly ever order anything after the release date. I just got screwed out of a black Incinerator because of their weird way of doing business. It's the most retarded & annoying way of doing business that I've ever seen. It is NOT discontinued, it just came out!

The others you listed won't be coming out. It's been said repeatedly that those molds are missing or destroyed.

That came out a few years ago though, I don't think it counts. A Trypticon or Metroplex would be nice.

I am glad Skylinx is out. He was starting to cost way too much used. On that note, here is what they need reissue just so I can have them without spending WAY too much:

1) ShockWave
2) Black Zarak
3) Browning (Tell me that he would not be cool)
4) Technobots (Mine are not as nice as I would like)
5) Devastator (Mine is so so and there are too many fakes (boxes/stickers) to ensure a good original set.

I know I am being greedy, but anyone else, I either already have or they currently do not cost too much.

i must admit i really dont care for that toy, the box and art is sweet though.

That toy just doesn't really look all that cool. Not interested.

I'd like to have one. I'm trying to build up my collection of G1 Transformers. Unfortunately, even second hand, they're either too expensive or nobody wants to sell them once they've got them.

I went to a store in Canberra with all these G1 Transformers in a display cabinet. I saw Trypticon and I thought he'd make a nice counterpart to Metroplex (I have him). But when I asked, the shop assistant said they were for display only, not for sale! Can you guess how disappointed I was?

And I saw Fortress Maximus once, but couldn't afford him. But obviously someone could, because he disappeared in a couple of months! Didn't even get a chance to save up to buy him!

However, at my current location, it's unlikely that I'll be able to get him. I know a store in Melbourne that sometimes stocks those, but I'm not there at the moment.

There was a scene in the cartoon which hinted that Sky Lynx was sortof opposed to Predaking (even though I think the Predacons are the Dinobot's opposites). It was funny to see the Predacons forming Predaking and having Sky Lynx pull him apart not once, but twice! Then he started using the individual Predacons as footballs.......

Their system used to automatically do that back in the day to put a hold on the item and stop new orders flooding in until they processed all the preorders and had a good idea of stock levels. After all the preorders were done, they'd then put it back on normal listing and start taking orders again.

I've ordered hundreds of things through them over the years and never had a problem getting anything, preorder or not.

Nope; he's nowhere near as silly looking and generally twatty as Sky Lynx.

I've gotten every single Encore figure so far but I'll be passing on this one.

I might get Sky Lynx if I can find one at Botcon without breaking the bank. Was kinda hoping some of the stickers would've been replaced with paint apps, but looks like not.

Me too. Of the hundreds of orders, I only had an issue once with an order. You just have to preorder early.

Me thrice! In all my years buying from them I think only once one of the items I ordered was cancelled and I ordered it while it was on backorder, so I assumed they just simply couldn't find more stock.

I wish the anime versions would stop taking over. I prefer the original toys, not the cartoon versions. Say "NO" to coneheads!!!

Noticed that,too. I wonder if orders will be charged exactly on the 26th, or earlier than that. I wanted to leave my checking account alone for purchasing Commander Modesty, but a Superlink Laserwave is calling to me, begging to be bought.

I just bought mine. God, he's glorious.
The walking gimmick is so goofy, it just adds to the charm.

Finally getting this guy is a milestone in my Transformers collecting hobby.

Also of note, the battery cover on "Lynx" now sports a "2007 Tomy 1986 Hasbro" marking - which means that piece is new.

Bought it off eBay just now. I was always so jealous of my cousin who had him when I was just a kid in the late 80s - and he'd never let me play with him. Now I will own it!
