| Encore 10 Omega Supreme Gets New Face, Trans-Scanning Figures to Include G1-Style Catalog |
| Posted on 03-24-2008 at 06:49 AM by Tim Formas | RSS Feeds | | Autobase Aichi has posted information from the lastest issue of Japan's Figure-Oh Magazine, which contains some interesting information on upcoming TakaraTomy Transformers releases. The magazine confirms that Encore Omega Supreme head will feature a newly sculpted face to better resemble the cartoon character. Additionally, the upcoming Trans-Scanning Optimus Prime and Bumblebee movie characters will include a 2007 movie catalog that will be laid out similar to the original Generation One catalog style. No scans of these magazine pages are available yet. Encore Omega Supreme is due for a May release, while the Trans-Scanning figures are supposedly still set for release this month.

No picture yet, but according to the article Encore Omega Supreme is confirmed to have a newly sculpted face closer to the cartoon.
Also;
Trans-scanning figures to have G1 catalogue style 07 movie toy catalogue.
New Henkei illustration story features 5 G1 Jetrons as "clone 01 ~ 05". Don't know if this indicates future release, I personally doubt it, them having no names.

The Omega noodle might backfire. If I remember right, he was a goofy looking SOB in the cartoon. Noisemaze: NOOOOO!!!!! Don't screw up my Omega Supreme! The cartoon versions of all the G1 toys look totally retarded! Coneheads, Bumblebee with a nose & mouth, Omega with a face stuck in there. I HATE the cartoon versions! I just want my Omega Supreme back at a decent price, I don't need them to ruin him with the stupid face.

So if you don't like the head, simply buy a junker tank and switch the heads. I'm all for it.

-airfox keebs: Glad I preordered, but at the same time, I've been able to find past Encore reissues cheaper on eBay if I order from sellers in Japan. I picked up Ironhide/Ratchet for a total of $60 shipped. Awesome packaging, too. I guess it's a matter of customs not crapping on the box when they get it.
Back to OS, can't wait for pics, and how about some news on the next Encore reissues. I know, I'm impatient but at least throw out some nugget that I can chew on for a while. butz: Quote:

Anyway, I was assuming the new face would be simply an extra part that fit inside the canopy on the head. Then if you didn't like it, it could be removed pretty easily. (it's obvious the canopy is designed to be able to open, but my old Omega doesn't seem to want to open without a fight.) REDLINE: Quote:
