CM’s corp will be releasing ”Brave Gokin (diecast) Mugen Calibur” figure, which was the same mold used for Roadbuster. The figure will retail for around 23,800 Yen, or around $240 in USD. It stands 7-8 inches tall and will be 70-80% die cast! Click on the thumbnail to see more images of this upcoming figure!

This. I have the ES Mugen Calibur and it's a sweet fig.

Too expensive. I have old Mugen Caliburs and G1 Roadbuster but waiting to see if there will be an updated Generations Roadbuster coming out.

Different in color only – if you have to pick one, I'd actually suggest the ES (deformed) one, as it's a superior figure. Plus it transforms.

Are these guys much different to their first ones?
I still don't have and really want them.

This might have been posted here before… I just found this photo stream of CM's Combat Calibur with autobot emblems on it. G1 Deluxe Autobots on Flickr – Photo Sharing!
I love this toy, by the way. Very fun. Looks awesome decked out in the armor as well.

I too would like the original colors but it would have to be at a similar price to this, I wouldn't go much more than $100. If it was MP Grimlock size then it would be justified but not at the current size. I am tempted to customize this one but I heard there were only 300 made. I would hate to customize a rare piece like that. Can anyone confirm production run on the HLJ sale color version?
rherk
I agree which is too bad cause I'd love to get the original colors. If they have a similar sale, consider him sold.

Got mine the other day, too. Nice little figure. In no way, shape, or form worth the original MSRP, though.

Here is my review with pics. Cool toy.

Mine just arrived yesterday from HLJ. It cost $101 shipped EMS. Ordered it Thursday night and it arrived Tuesday by noon CST. When I get around to it I may attempt to customize it a little to make it more Roadbuster but it looks nice the way it is too so I am not sure.

Those of you who thought this toy was too expensive may want to check this out:
Brave Gohkin Mugen Calibur Miyazawa Mokei Limited Color Ver.
It is a different color scheme, and doesn't come with the body armor, but it's still a crazy cheap price.

What the heck? Why is King Sccasher behind it???

There was confusion due to Ngee Khiong's post, but it is definitely a Fewture product. It also wont be anywhere near as big as their EX Gokins (you can see it stands just slightly shorter than the SD ES Gokins there, and I REALLY doubt that Artstorm/Fewture will be making SD figures that are like a foot tall).
I really doubt it'll be transformable though.
EDIT: Whoops. No, you can't see that at all in that photo, can you? Here:
My guesstimation is 5-6 inches vs. the EX gokin 8-9, and I can't imagine even Fewture charging more than the CM's figure for something almost half the size of their $300 EX figures.

Yeah, others have said that might be what it is too. Sucks that there is more speculation than fact on this right now. It certainly looks more like a non-transforming figure because of the proportions. I'll probably give it a pass if it doesn't transform.
rherk
I could be wrong but I think this figure is part of Yamato's non-transforming "Revoltech" like series. I will still get it regardless. It has a nice dynamic sculpt.

Here we go again:
Not much info on this yet, but it seems to be an upcoming Real Gokin by Fewture. If so, it'll probably be even more expensive than the CMs version, yet probably a very, very nice piece.
While I like the more 'standard' proportions of the CMs version, this beefy guy does have a certain charm. And I like the Caliber enough to watch this with great interest.

"Mugen Caliber (or Calibur) " is the name of the mech. The anime series it's from is called Dorvack. Hasbro used two of Takatoku's toys in the 1980's for the Transformers line. The Mugen Caliber became "Roadbuster" and the Gazelle (helicopter) became "Whirl". There is a third toy, a tank, called the Tulcas that Hasbro never used.
gargunkle
That does look pretty great. I won't be getting one but I do appreciate the pictures! Thanks!
Is Mugen Caliber the name of the TV series/toy line that this came from or of the Roadbuster mold itself? I've never known much of the history from some of the things that Hasbro padded out the US G1 toyline with.

I should also note that if I do get the green one, I fully intend to swap some pieces around between the two to make a 'Roadbuster' version. The colors wont match perfectly with the original Roadbuster, but it'll be close enough. I probably wont leave it that way because I like the Dorvack colors better, but I'm just too curious to see what a Roadbuster version would look like.

Awesome!!!!
