Revenge of the Fallen Scout Wave 6 Released at US Retail

Revenge of the Fallen's sixth wave of Scout class toys has been found at US retail. This assortment, which includes Decepticon air attackers Skystalker and Divebomb, and Autobot anti-air specialist Scattorshot, have been sighted at a Walmart near the Arcadia/Duarte/Monrovia area and another Walmart in the South Bay area of California by 2005 boards members flamingunicron and SALI respectively.

Tony Todd to return for Third Transformers Movie

In a recent interview with Den of Geek Tony Todd was quoted saying he will be returning for the third installment of the Transformers Movies:

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Wave 7 Deluxes Released in Canada

TFW2005 sister site Cybertron.ca is reporting that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen wave 7 deluxe figures have been released in Canada. This wave includes deluxe class Dirge, Alliance Bumblebee, Tuner Mudflap, and Armorhide.

Power Core Combiner Aerialbots Team And More News From Nuremburg Toy Fair

2005 boards member Philister and his wife were in attendance at the Nuremburg Toy Fair, and has reported the following:

The RPMs line seems to a major success and there'll be lots of new products there. Apart from at least a dozen new RPM cars I've seen, there is a new race track / play set, titled "Bumblebee's Battle Track".

Additionally a new RPM subline called "Stealth Force" was introduced. This line consists of Voyager- and Deluxe-sized vehicles. They can't transform into robots, but they do electronically fold out weapons and other technical knick-knacks. Optimus Prime and Megatron come in Voyager-size, Bumblebee in Deluxe size.

Finally, the RPM line is rounded out by a new Bumblebee car, a remote controlled one this time. Size-wise it's somewhere between Ultimate Battle BB and Human Alliance BB.

Among the "real" Transformers we saw Leader Starscream (in the new orange packaging), Seaspray and Power Core Combiner Huffer, all old news. What I hadn't seen so far, though, were the following:
- Scout class figure Hubcap, who transforms into a red muscle car
- Scout class figure Brimstone, who transforms into a blue motorbike
- Power Core combiner Team "Aerialbots", consisting of a leader figure just below Deluxe size and four team members just below Scout size.

No sign of any War for Cybertron or Animated figures, sadly.

Could other popular teams from Generation 1 such as the Constructicons or Stunticons show up in the Power Core Combiners line to complement Superion and Bruticus?

User jinxm of HK-TF.com has posted a gallery of the upcoming Winter Wonder Festival 2010 exclusive The Fallen Blazing Version. These new images reveal that while this fiery Fallen is based on the Target Exclusive, he is actually much more than a "mere" repacked toy - he is cast in entirely translucent plastic. Not just translucent orange, as previously reported - the black plastic is also a smokey black translucent plastic in this version too. Michael Bay tops Vanity Fair's Top 40 Hollywood Earners for 2009

Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Director Michael Bay has topped Vanity Fair's list of top Hollywood Earners for 2009. Mr Bay earned an estimated $125 million in 2009, helped in no small part by Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, for which back-end profit participation for directing and producing accounts for $75 million of his year's earnings, with a further $40 million from his share in DVD sales, toy and other merchandise profits.

Also of particular note is that Vanity Fair's second highest Hollywood earner for 2009 was executive producer Steven Spielberg, who took home $85 million, of which $5 million was earned for his work on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

Transformers 3 to be filmed in 3D?

Could Transformers 3 be filmed in 3D? With the success of James Cameron's Avatar reigniting a slow-burning flame of interest in presenting films in 3D, it is not totally surprising that Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic are considering the possibility of making the jump to 3D special effects for Transformers 3. Check out this quote from Variety magazine, posted on SuperHeroHype:

Bay's next project is "Transformers 3," and there have been discussions among Bay, Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic about going 3D with the pic. The big stumbling block is the extra time required to do production and visual effects in 3D, as the movie's release date is already set. Having the pic post-converted could alleviate that problem.

Hasbro Revenge of the Fallen NEST Global Alliance Press Release

We have received an official press release from Hasbro, to mark the official launch of the Transformers N.E.S.T. Global Alliance subline, the commencement of the mail away Recon Ravage promotion, and the launch of the "Cyber Mission" webisodes. Of particular note for those who want to purchase Recon Ravage, your completed N.E.S.T. Mission guides need to reach Hasbro by May 14 with a postmark of April 30 or earlier to qualify. As always, it is a case of "act early, to avoid disappointment".

Recon Ravage to be Toys 'R Us Exclusive in Canada

When the N.E.S.T Battle Pack was recently released and the Recon Ravage redemption program was revealed to be a US only program, international fans were disappointed. Thanks to our sister site Cybertron.ca, Canadian fans have a reason to rejoice. Recon Ravage will be released as a Toys 'R Us exclusive in Canada this Spring.

This news should also provide some wishful thinking that the figure may receive an exclusive release at stores in other international locations as well.

James Avery Cast as Voice Actor for New Transformers 3 Character

While the news seems to be coming early, the online show Unscripted has an interview with James Avery who states that he will be voicing a new Autobot for Transformers 3. James Avery is best known as Phillip Banks, the uncle of Will Smith's character on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

James Avery is said to be providing the voice for Silverbolt.
