Bumblebee Visits Bondi Beach in Sydney

Bumblebee visits Sydney in Australia to promote the launch of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen on DVD and Blu Ray! This life sized model of Bumblebee stands 5 metres tall, weighs nearly three tonnes, and took LA Special Effects firm FXperts about six weeks to build. It is being displayed as a part of a mini exhibition which also includes several pieces of original concept art, including concepts for Alice (here simply called "Pretender: Hot Chick") and an early concept of "The" Devastator. The pictures of the display were taken by Optimus 1 of the Australian Transformers fan site Ozformers.

Revenge of the Fallen to Released on USB Drive

Paramount Pictures and Kingston have teamed up to deliver movies on flash memory devices, and the first movie to receive the USB release treatment is none other than Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Revenge of the Fallen is available now on a 4GB Kingston DataTraveler I USB drive priced $29.99. If successful, both companies will expand the scheme to cover future movies on a range of Kingston's devices.

Unfortunately for Transformers fans, it's just a regular USB drive and not a robot in disguise, nor does it contain a cool little Ravage virtual pet to sniff around your desktop in search of Allspark fragments.

Orci and Kurtzman explain why they are not doing Transformers 3

In a recent interview with IGN, Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have explained that their reason for passing on writing the third installment in the franchise is due to time constraints. They explain that they could not do a third movie due to other commitments and would not want any project they are involved in to suffer due to taking on too much work. The interview reveals that this is also why Transformers 3 writer Ehren Kruger was brought on to help with Revenge of the Fallen.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen sells 4 Million Copies on its first day (Unconfirmed)

Nelson has posted an update on Michael Bay's official website regarding Transformers Revenge of the Fallen's home release. On the first day on sale, reports have come in that retailers from NYC, Housten, LA and Chicago have completely sold out of Revenge of the Fallen DVDs and Blu Rays.

As if this was not enough, Nelson reports that he has heard reports, currently unconfirmed, that total unit sales for the first day are in the region of 4 million copies of Revenge of the Fallen being sold.

Hasbro Third Quarter Profits Rise 8.8 Percent on the back of Transformers

Hasbro today reported a strong third quarter performance, Yahoo news reports. Hasbro's 3Q profit rose 8.8 percent compared to last year, and the profits are linked largely to toys sales tied to GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, alongside a selective rollback of the 3% price rise introduced this year to offset the rising cost of oil. The article goes on to note that Hasbro's main competitor, Mattel, posted a loss last week, and that all signs are in place for a strong 4Q holiday season performance.

Thanks to Paramount, we now have some large clean images of the Transformers Event that took place during the NASCAR Banking 500 at Lowe�s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. On hand were 2 custom Transformers Revenge of the Fallen promotional cars, pimping the Oct 20th release date for the DVD and Blu-Ray (This Tuesday). The cars were driven by Ryan Newman (Optimus Prime theme) and Jeff Gordon (Megatron theme). The drivers and Pit Crew are also adorned in Transformers themed gear. None other than Michael Bay himself drove the official pace car. Cleveland Family Builds Transformers Halloween Display

A Cleveland family really wants to win a KIA Soul, and has built a Halloween decor for their lawn that really stands out and appeals to us. Do a 12 foot Bumblebee and 17 foot Optimus Prime statues fancy any other fans out there? In their own words:

This year for our Halloween display, we built two Transformers for our front yard. One is Optimus Prime, 17ft tall and the other is Bumblebee, 12ft tall. We live in Cleveland, ohio and there are always a ton of people coming over taking pictures and asking about how they were made. They are made from wood and foam and it took 6 months to build Optimus and 2 months to build Bumblebee. This is a display you won't want to miss!

Megan Fox Denies Transformer 3 Rumor

Misinformation campaign? Truth? Who knows, as it's still early in the Transformers 3 rumor mill. Entertainment website Gossipcop has recently reported the following:

A new rumor claims Megan Fox faces the �distinct possibility� of a �gory death scene� in a third �Transformers� movie, thanks to her outspoken comments about how difficult she found working for director Michael Bay.

Perez Hilton and others are picking up an In Touch report that says Fox�s character might be killed off early in the next sequel and swapped with a new female lead. Supposedly, according to the magazine�s �source,� Bay is �very quietly looking for her replacement.�

Very quietly. So quiet, in fact, no one can confirm it�s actually happening. And you know why? Because a rep for Fox tells Gossip Cop the story is �not true.�

Hilton concluded his inaccurate regurgitation by saying, �You dug your own grave on that one, Foxy.�

If there�s one thing Perez doesn�t know, it�s how to dig.

The Rumor Mill Kicks off - first Transformers 3 Rumor

Mere days after Transformers 3 has been confirmed for a 2011 release, the rumor mill has started up and given us our very first Transformers 3 rumor. Coming from WorstPreviews, it concerns leading lady Megan Fox.

If you're still intent on avoiding possible spoilers, you may wish to stop reading now.

The rumor, according to WorstPreviews comes from an insider, states that Megan Fox will only be in the first few moments of Transformers 3 before being killed off and replaced with another eye-candy female lead in her place.

Is this true or is this Michael Bay getting an early start with the misinformation campaign? Considering Megan Fox's recent, and highly visible, comments and the responses that they have elicited, anything might be possible.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Two Disc Blu Ray Special Edition Out

The Blu Ray, Two Disc Special Edition of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen has made it to the shelves of one independent retailer early in the New York area. The special edition with its extensive selection of special features is due for general release on October 20th, with a special IMAX scene edition exclusively available from Wal-Mart.
