Amazon.com has added a pre order listing for a DVD boxed set of Transformers Energon. Transformers Energon was previously released in 2008 by Paramount but that set is now out of print.
Transformers Energon was the sixth Transformers cartoon to air in the US, and it originally aired in 2004-2005. The series was set 10 years after the events of Transformers Armada and focused on Megatron’s efforts to gather enough Energon to revive Unicron.
The set is due for release on May 6th priced $27.98 on Amazon.

Im happy with the highlight episode dvds that were sold when the toys were out. Mainly the Shockblast & Metroplex ones. F the rest , Kicker was so damn annoying will pretend none of that happened. Was just a bad dream.
LegendAntihero
Look on the bright side. A complete animated box set would take up less space than the Animated DVDs you already own.
Autobot Dave
I wasn't a big fan of the cartoon, but some of the Decepticon toys and most of the Terrorcon and Omnicon toys were pretty cool.
Good news for the A/E/C generation!
Rumblestorm
I hope they fixed that horrid animation error in the second to last episode where Galvatron and Optimus fight on thr jungle planet. The 2008 release of the collection for some reason replaced the final animation (2-d)with much earlier stages of animation (It looked HORRID. As if the cg1 wasnt bad enough).
Darkprime
And yet we still do not have Animated Season 3 (I think it was confirmed it will come out eventually) and no R.I.D.

If it makes you feel any better, Ironhide's name in Japan was Roadbuster. Definitely not the image that one evokes when hearing that name .
Silk Spectre
Armada's a possible purchase, but this? No way in hell.
Couldn't make it through more than a handful of episodes, and every time I saw and heard "Ironhide" on screen, my inner Ironhide fangirl died inside.
FanimusMaximus
Sorry, but I'm not prepared to pay 30 bucks for Kicker yelling all the time and Carlos Ironhide.

I also would have liked them out of chronological order and had a complete Animated first.
Still, I am happy that they are re-releasing the entire UT (or at least two thirds of it so far). The previous A/E/C releases are starting to have "collector pricing" and are not worth it.
GreyFox787
All I want is the Japanese continuation of Beast Wars on DVD, and a U.S. Blu-ray release of TFTM for the 30th Anniversary
LegoTFGuy
So we're getting this before a complete Animated boxset?
WHY?!

I'm not a fan of the *not Unicron* Trilogy by any means, but of the 3, I'd have to say I disliked Energon the least. The focus on combination as the theme of the series was something I always enjoyed, as opposed to Armada's Pokemon theme & Cybertrons "keys to unlock hidden powers" theme.
I know the common consensus is to say it is set 10 years after armada, but in Prime's opening mnologue he says "20 earth years have passed". Was this just a script error?
Anyway, I already have Paramount's original Energon set, and Superlink subbed (with the missing episode), so no reason for me to purchase this.
Kaijumaster
There! Right there! anyone who trashes Energon forgets that it was AWESOME when it started before it went to utter crap. I think it leveled out to Decent in the last 5 or so episodes.
Animated ok sure…..but Cybertron? Thats like saying "would have been nice of them to start with Return of the Jedi"
Backpack
I may be in the minority…. but I'd much rather get Car Robots than RID. Yet, I do already have a UK release of RID, so that helps. Car Robots had a goofy vibe to it that matched the animation… better music…. and a fantastic opening/closeing.
Plus it would go better with sub versions of BW2 and Neo.
Metroplex79
You can place this G1er in the pile of "Fan of Energon Toys" and "Fan of Energon's Dreamwave Comic".
BuzzingNeon
It would've been nice for them to start with Animated or Cybertron first.
Nemesis Jazz
They need to do RiD or beast wars 2 after unicron trilogy
Backpack
Glad the releases are coming fast. If they can get through the Unicron Trilogy by July…. that's plenty of time for Animated to come out this year. And, that's what I want.
Batman
Glad Shout! is getting everything out there.
Now how about Transformers Animated the complete Series!
