Completists rejoice!

Crap. I hated Energon with a blazing passion, and I still do. The toys were the only redeeming factor for me.
Lumpy
huh...maybe i'll start buying the armada and cybertron collections, so i can complete this series, despite it being so very very bad...
saberconvoy
I liked energon but i did not even get the plot. I made no since to me. The only good thing were the toys.
Fit For natalie
Man, today is one of those 'NEWS RAIN' days.
mirarage
Great news!
The entire series, at once
and at a decent price.
Now all they have to do is dig
RID out of it's disney hole,
an US will be complete.
Maybe if were lucky, new company will
give us the japan series as well.
Asking too much?
So what.

Ugh.

Dunno how to feel about this.
Is a "weak maybe" a feeling?
shadow panther
wonder if they will fix the cliffjumper/downshift name mix-ups and dub the episode that was never dubbed or released
crimbot
Great news for those who love horrible shows on DVD.
But I guess since I have Armada and Cybertron on DVD... but man energon was crappy.
Sol Fury
Finally, all the English stuff is available in some shape or form. And most of the Japanese, too. Just needs Beast Wars Second, Neo, and Zone.
Big Bot
Will it be 52 episodes though? 52 x 21minutes = 1092 minutes
Wheeljack_Prime
I wonder about what they're going to do about "Scorponok's Scars".
Backscatter
Good news! Looking forward to it!
Takara_destron
Not a great series, but I'll definatly be picking this up!
evebird
You know the Transformers franchise is doing well when even the worst cartoon series gets a full-series DVD release.
ProtoformX
this series had one of my favourite episodes of all time...that "battle royale" episode where everyone fought everyone....good times
seeker311
cool, I have the Armada & Cybertron collections so now I can finish the trilogy.
Night Flame
I was hoping this would happen. Now I'll get to see the chapter of Transformers between Armada and Cybertron.

Now, if only Hasbro could buy back the rights to RID so we could get that released in the States. Such a fun series to watch, I'd love to get it on DVD.
Mospeada
As much as Energon is my least favorite TF series, I will STILL buy it to support whole set releases. NOW WHERE IS MY RID SET IN REGION 1!!!
NemesisBruticus
Horray.

Oh wait its energon. thought it was armada. *garbaged*
Soundwave84
I enjoyed the Energon series for what it is worth.
Omegax80
I really hope this means that Transformers RID will be on its way shortly after.

My guess is, after the Energon set is on sale, they will announce the Armada slimpack edition... followed by the Ultimate Unicron Trilogy Box Set of all three, Armada, Energon, Cybertron with Robot Heroes Unicron and Armada Galvatron figure pack in.
RodimusPrimus
I never really liked the Unicron Trilogy, except for Armada (don't hurt me), The CG 'formers never really felt right to me, and mixing it with 2D like they did in Energon, it was just messy...
I'll just wait for the Armada collection
CryoPrime
YES! So AWESoME!(and so terrible) BUT SO AWESOME!
Foster
I'm on this series for the dump trucks driving in space, not to mention the yodeling! Bought!

I'm with Mospeada here. I'm not springing for RiD, Headmasters, Masterforce or Victory unless they are playable on Region One DVD players. I thought some of them were, but not all. Does anyone know for sure? I STILL have yet to see Headmasters with english subtitles.
Laser_Optimus
Well... I have both Armada boxsets and the Cybertron set... sooooo... I guess I'll get this and suffer through it again. Honestly... they all had some really horrid moments in them... it's just that this one had far more than the other two...

Metrodome's and Madman's Headmasters sets both have English subtitles and are region 0, so will play in North America.

Varying reports also say that the RID sets from the UK are also region free, but I can't confirm this right now.

Only if Disney lets it go.

Hopefully the Disney crossovers were done as a concession for the RiD rights.

Agreed! Robots in Disguise was the most fun TF anime dub and it DEMANDS to be released in Region 1 if shows like Armada and Energon can get full DVD sets.

I excluded Cybertron because it was a fun dub and very enjoyable, but in no way can it compare to RID. Too much Burning Justice and some minor errors here and there, but much, MUCH better than its predecessors.

The Headmaster, Victory, and Masterforce dubs are hillarious for reasons that don't even need to be repeated.

"Darn that fool, Soundwave. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN!"

as you can tell by the avitar, im an energon fan. So this equals

Nope, Region 2 PAL-encoded. Also, I'm pretty sure the Region 0 Headmasters is PAL-encoded and will require a compatible TV set.
walruslaw
WOOHOO this is great news for me as its the only one im missing as a official set. Cant wait for this. Only Beast Wars Second and Neo to go till every series is on a official dvd. In the UK RID is getting released again as a complete series set for 12.99 Or around $26USD. Its slated to come out on the 1st December 2008 Heres a link to the preorder page on play.com.Play.com (UK) : Transformers RiD - Ultimate Collection (6 Discs) : DVD - Free Delivery

Well this is good news. I never saw much of Energon and always wanted to. I ended up really liking cybertron so I will get this and give it a shot! Now I just need to get the 1st half of Armada, currently I only have the 2nd half.

I also echo the RID sentiment. I LOVE that show and I really want it on DVD. Is there no way to get it region 1? I have a PS3 as my player and I hear they are region free players?!?!?! Any truth to that?

I mean it stinks that with this and animated season two all US Transformers Cartoons will be on DVD EXCEPT my favorite RID. C'mon Disney either give it back or realease it yourselves! Cash in on the Transformers Cow yourself!
NormanB
So is the complete Armada set available now?
AniProwl
In my own opinion, Energon=

sweet,,,,,,,,,I had a feeling it would be out later this year with Animated S2 following it,which means next year (2009)we will get TF G1 S1 and then followed by the TF2 movie in the theater followed by TF G1 S2 then TF2 the dvd release then ending the year with TF G1 S3 followed by Animated S4 (in early 2010) ,then (if we're lucky) in 2010 the release of RID...then we will get the Headmasters,Masterforce,Victory,Zone box sets (with new dubs with the original voice actors from gen 1 for headmasters with the correct translation and names on all the series )followed by BW2 and BW neo (new dub with correct translation and names) then after those releases (in 2011)we can get Animated S5 then Tf3 in the theaters ending with the TF3 dvd release..then we will have everything released "officially" by the time of the last movie release...then they can release the Gobots box sets in 2012

That's certainly, uh, optimistic.
