Speaking of rare items being shared with the fandom this day, 2005 Boards member Monzo has shared with us some rare pictures of Aaron Archer's napkin of revelation - a napkin upon which he wrote down the first ideas of what would go on to become Transformers Cybertron. Check this out to see the genesis of a Transformers line - the idea from which all else follows. You can see on this ideas that made the final cut of the series - such as the four planets and their themes, the idea of splitting into teams to tackle each world, and the general quest revolving around awakening Primus. You can also see concepts that did not make the final cut, such as a reference to the "Apocalypse" planet, the Matrix forming some kind of armor, and a transforming Vector Sigma apparently having something to do with Primus / Cybertron's core.

We previously reported that Paramount was offering a disk replacement service for people who bought the Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate DVD Collection and experienced an error where the first part of the episode "Hidden" was cut off. TV Shows on DVD is reporting that Paramount will begin issuing replacement copies of Disc 1 of Transformers Cybertron The Ultimate Collection to customers affected by an error on the set. The error, where the first seven minutes of the ironically titled "Hidden" are left out, only affects a part of the total run rather than every set.

The replacements will be issued from Monday 8 September, if you have an affected set you can find out how you can go about getting a new disc over at TV Shows on DVD.

TV Shows on DVD has put up a press release about the upcoming Transformers Cybertron DVD boxed set. The set is quoted as having a running time of 19 hours, across seven discs, and a recommended retail price of $61.99. There is still no word on any extras, if there are going to be any.

TVShowsOnDVD.com have posted the article showing off the final box art for Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection DVD Box Set. The cover for this Paramount Home Entertainment release features the Cybertron logo along with Optimus Prime and Megatron. Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection is due for release on July 22nd in the United States and Canada.

TVShowsOnDVD.com have posted what may be the package art for the upcoming Transfomers Cybertron: The Complete Collection DVD Box Set. The image to the left was sent to TVShowsOnDVD.com through retailer contacts and may be subject to change.

According to TVShowsOnDVD.com, this will be the front of the special slipcase for the 7-DVD set. The 7-DVD set contains 52 episodes with a total running time of 1184 minutes. No annoucement has been made if there will be any extras, or if there will even be any. Transfomers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection is due out for release on July 22nd by Paramount Home Entertainment.

Now up on the TransformersClub website is a new story titled Force of Habit which is set in the Transformers Cybertron universe.

TVShowsonDVD.com is reporting that Paramount Home Entertainment will be releasing Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection on July 22nd, 2008. This DVD box set will apparently contain the entire Cybertron series of 51 episodes. No box art or information on extras is available yet, but the DVDs will be presented in full screen format with at least English audio. The running time given for the contents is 19 hours and 4 minutes. We'll update the news as box art and other information are released.

Our very own Junior has come across another Transformers oddity found at Toys R US, in addition to the barrage of candy items that have been found lately now we have a Transformers overnight bag. Transformers Cybertron figures are on sale at Target stores. Extremely low clearance prices have started showing up at multiple stores around the US. Examples of the discount are $25 and $40 Cybertron figures marked down to 75% off. Members of our TFW2005 boards are picking up toys regularly priced at $40 like Metroplex and Optimus Prime for only $9 each. Scourge and Menasor have been marked down to 6 dollars each. Of course this will vary from store to store.

Last week we reported that Transformers Attacktix figures were being pulled from the shelves of Walmart and Target stores. Since then we have learned that the figures being pulled are the Random Figure Booster Packs. These are being pulled to make room for both new Attacktix products (new releases) as well as upcoming movie product.

Hasbro.com has updated their website with the Primus Unleashed Contest. By participating in the game, you will have a chance to win a free Cybertron Primus figure. To win, you must have the most points accrued by the time the clock reaches zero on the website, which is currently at 146 hours. The contest is for US residents only.
