The-Arker has revealed the new Star Wars Transformers Crossovers Magnaguard Starfighter. In addition, they have shown the new packaging for this figure, and the rest to come later this year. The packaging is more compact, and uses the unified styling that all upcoming packaging for Star Wars toys will feature.

The newest figure to be revealed from the Star Wars Transformers Crossovers line, the Magnaguard Starfighter is a support robot for General Grevious. Click on the title bar to see more!

Mach:
The-Arker.com has posted new packaging images of the above mentioned toy. See attached
Sso02V:
Magnaguard's not bad. Still too pricy for my tastes though. He'd make a great generic soldier bot.
Scythe:
Aw, no
Cujo:
fail.
Sharktibolt:
Definitely going to pick up a Magnaguard. Looks great.

Battle Droid is old though. I have him sitting on my desk.
Pravus Prime:
Magnaguard kind of reminds me of Cosmos. I'll get it.
Dinobot Nuva:
That Battle Droid is in the current packaging, but I'm eagerly awaiting that Magna Guard's release.
grayman:
I want the Magnaguard and Ahsoka from the same wave.
Ash from Carolina:
Magnaguard kind of works since it would be a vehicle turning into a robot instead of vehicle changing into a mech.

Plus it's got the advantage of you could almost work it into your regular Transformers collections since the Magnaguard and the fighter aren't so iconic that they stand out as Star Wars mechs like a figure with Chewbacca's or Darth Vader's head would.
eriku:
Magnaguard looks like the best SWTF so far. Actually he's the only SWTF so far to tickle my want glands.
Solrac333:
I just want a regular Magnaguard figure. Not Clone Wars cartoon style. Not crossover. Just a regular one to go with my Grievous figure.
Seeker24:
These SWTF's are horrible.
Bgrngod:
Gotta go out and find me a Battle Droid tomorrow.. still haven't picked one up yet.
courtdevil:
Didn't Hasbro say they wouldn't make SWTF for droids? If so why don't they make an R2-D2, he is gonna rule.
Blurrz:
Meh. Doesn't look too half bad. However... Star Wars Crossovers aren't exactly well known for being.. good.
Paxtin:
That Magnaguard might actually be the first Star wars transformer I'd buy. That doesn't look half bad.
eisen:
i'd buy that magnaguard
shade 0066:
Wow a SW crossover that looks good in both modes.

It sparks some intrest in doin a custom....
AnimatedFan:
...the Magnaguard is almost passable. Almost.

Man, this line is full of craptastic molds. Seriously.
Z.U.D.O.N:
Not fantastic, but the design is decent. And for a Star Wars Crossover TF, this is awesome. IMO, previous Star Wars Crossover TFs have not been designed well and have crappy looks, but this one was well made. Another one I think is great is General Grievous, which is definitely better than this one.

Still, I give it a bay for nice design.
SharkyMcShark:
What I don't like about the early SWTF's is that instead of incoporating the parts of the vehicle into the parts of the body (eg Sunstreakers legs are the rear of his car mode) they tried to hide the bodies in the vehicle, so in robot mode you ended up with essentially a cape of vehcile mode parts.

I'm glad they've started to move away from this - personally I'd like to see this line revamped post ROTF in a transformers oriented crossover, as opposed to the Star Wars one we have now (ie Transformers characters with Star Wars Alt Modes, not Star Wars vehicles that change into Star Wars characters).
Deadend:
Magna Guard is sweet! That's what I've been waiting for from this line!
Dolza_Khyron:
not bad, BUT too many movie toys out that i wanna focus on, so, screw this...
knoted:
In theory...the idea of SW-TF crossovers is awesome, due to the 'realistic' style altmode nature of the SW universe...however, in reality, the engineering & proportions of the SW botmodes is often less than compelling.

These particular 2, look decent imo... but not anything special either.

This.
Death Star Unicron would be awesome.
SoundMaster:
Sold. I might even buy two, one to put on each side of Grevious.

I've got two of those. Episode 3 line much?
SydneyY:
Magnaguard looks good, if I have money in the wallet I'll get him.

Wait, I haven't even seen Captain Rex yet?
Railguard:
Hey that one looks really cool, I might have to try to get him!
Dran0n:
No....

Anything with the Star Wars name attached sells by the bucketloads according to a retailer friend of mine. Star Wars fans will buy anything. The geeks

This is probably the best one of these I've seen, although tbh I haven't really paid the line that much attention except to see if there's any customising potential.

That would actually be quite awesome.
@l3x:
Magnaguard will be my first SWTF. I really like the look of it.

Better question is why do most Transformers fans have so much hatred towards these? (and Gobots). Transformers fans should love anything that transforms between a robot & vehicle. But instead they hate everything. If it doesn't have Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron or a million G1 references involved TF fans automatically HATE.

That's what sucks about this fandom & the GI Joe fandom. All the constant hate & negativity.

I'm hoping Hasbro will keep making these. I want an A-Wing, Y-Wing, B-Wing, Sandcrawler, Star Destroyer, Blockade Runner & anything else they can think up.

Sandcrawler to Jawa TF would rock!! I personally don't mind SWTFs, plus the last few waves have shown a vast improvement! I dig the Magnaguard!
