| Transformers Marvel Crossovers Wolverine And New Spiderman Repaints Released |
| Posted on 07-08-2009 at 02:22 AM by Shin Densetsu | 2005 boards member Wajo357 has sighted new Transformers Marvel Crossovers figures at his local Target. The new figures are brown costume Wolverine, and a repaint of motorcycle Spiderman, this time in darker blue.

I don't know if this is news, but I found the brown Wolverine and the dark blue Spiderman repaint at Target in Hackensack, NJ. I got the only set. I will post pics later...

The cycle mold again? | I don't think the new spiderman recolor got a lot of press because no one new if it was a recolor or not from the promotional pics. I can confirm that this IS a recolor. The old version is a very light blue where as he is a very dark blue...

I passed on the original Wolverine release, hoping that this repaint would come because I always liked the brown costume better. That yellow should've been replaced with orange, but no sense in crying about it.
I won't be buying the Spider-Man repaint, but I do think that the dark blue is an improvement.

The wolverine Looks wickedly better in this paint schem; I'll go with this one. I really only want the helicopter spiderman though.
The bright blue did not look very natural in bike mode; the darker blue has a easier time blending with other parts from my perspective. So maybe get this one if: you missed the first two/ line completist/ wanted a sharper classic costume

Am I the only one who hates these? I love Transformers, Starwars, and X-Men/DC Comics, etc, but Wolverine isn't a robot. Neither is Chewbacca.
When I was a kid I didn't like to mix the different foods on my plate either.

I usually look forward to these as fresh kitbash fodder. These are just repaints, and not especially different ones. Spidey is an awkward figure to bash anyway and my one complaint is the way Wolverine's arms are so long. He looks sort of funny mixed with other TFs.... though I would buy ANY repaints they come up with for Captain Hummerica. That's a great mold, with a few nice alternate tranformations!
I want new molds! I want villains! I want repaint/remolds of things that aren't Spiderman and Wolverine!

Transformers is popular but Star Wars and Marvel are more so. So Hasbro try to get Transformers fans buying Marvel/Star Wars products and Marvel/Star Wars fans to buy Transformers product.
Or something like that. They're Crossovers. Thats all there is too them.

I bought the first wolverine mold but I dunno I really don't care that much about these crossover figures. I think I just find the transformers characters more interesting as robots.

I think if you painted the panel lines on the darker Spider-Man in the toy silver he'd look rather like Movie Spider-Man.
I was considering painting the panel lines on the one I had already but as the Figure- mode is so poorly articulated and therefore not a very good Spider-Man in the end I didn't bother. I also think the backpack design is not ideal either.
I like the Wolverine mold mind.
