I've been mostly avoiding SWTFs lately due to being fooled too many times before with crappy, crappy toys that looked decent in pictures, but I have to say that Magnaguard actually looks good. I'll still wait to see a review of it, though.
I actually like to get only crossovers that could pass as normal transformers, and that guy could pass as a background generic that jumped right off the pages of the old Marvel comics.

Yeah, there was one, and it was pretty bad. I stupidly bought it, along with the arc starfighter. Terrible figures. That magnaguard looks pretty good though I have to say, but only because it could fit in with more regular TFs. Reminds me slightly of the protoform from Beast Wars.
Why cant they give us what we really want from an SW/TF crossover though? Trypticon as an AT-AT? Megatron as Slave 1? Bumblebee as a Naboo Starfighter/ anakins speeder from EP2? Prime as the Millenium Falcon?

I really wish they would go back to whatever brought about Commander Cody. I have a few SWTF (All Clone Troopers) and Cody is dramatically superior... to the point where I'd recommend him even to someone who didn't liek star Wars, simply for the fact he's a GOOD TOY. Nice, bulky, powerful looking robot mode, good proportions, hidden features (Missiles in the shoulder wheels, hidden handgun in one of the thigh wheels, etc), very good representation of a Turbo Tank in vehicle mode, good articulation...
The newer designs of SWTF are definjitely improving, though. The V-19 Torrent was a overall decent toy (Though I found the AT-TE disappointing).

6. Soundwave/AAT
The possibilities are nearly endless!
They could actually remold/repaint some of them into TF charcaters.

Maganaguard, yes. Arsoka Tano, maybe. But there's been a plethora of Jedi Starship figures. I like the Jabba the Hut / Sail Ship idea. Wish they would do SW Ep 4, 5, 6 TFs, like a speeder bike / Trooper/Princess Leia, A Land Speeder Luke Skywalker with mini figures of Luke, Ben Kenobi, R2-D2, C3PO. A Republic Starship / Leia. A droid collector / Jawa. Don't know if they could do anything with the Sand People, Yoda or the Ewoks because they didn't drive anything (an Ewok drove a Speeder Bike but that would be one bad looking TF) But I bet we will see more Ep 1, 2, 3 TF Vehicles. How about an Anakin/Pod Racer or a JarJar Binks TF? There's so many more ideas they could do, so I don't see the line ending any time soon.
