Hmm … that smaller Obi-Wan/AotC Jedi Starfighter looks really cool.
Depending on price, I think I might go for some of the new Class I figs.
Of course, I've always liked SWTF and have most – if not all – the molds.

would really love to see a classic trilogy y-wing.
there's also the b-wing, the imperial landing craft, luke's landspeeder, and the jawa sandcrawler.
am i the only one that would like to see some star wars minicons? droids from star wars, done as minicons. r2-d2 could plug in to optimus prime. ig-88 could be a targetmaster for megatron. think about it!
also, why have they not done a star wars combiner? besides the millenium falcon? a star destroyer commander with tie fighter drones/robots? an x-wing and a y-wing that combine to form a super-fighter? or a larger robot?
too freakin' little imagination going in to this line.

At least the art on the packaging has gotten a lot better…

The Clone / Droid repaints are all pretty good. the new smaller ones are a bit hit and miss – depends how big they are I suppose if they are Commander size or smaller they might be OK if they are bigger than that then they'd be two simple for the size – Obi-wan is the best of the bunch..
I hope they have tightened up some of the mould issues on these though. – I'm vexed that they don't ship these in the UK though.

I thought we got a Y-Wing? I know we got a Clone Wars-era version, but I guess we didn't get an OT. An A-Wing could have real potential, considering the shape of the vehicle. Then again, the Jedi Starfighter seemed like it could be good…
Anyway, my point was that considering The Clone Wars is the primary Star Wars franchise for at least the next couple of years, that's what most of the toys are going to tie into. But yeah, TCW is a fantastic series and I love how well it's doing, but I am sick of seeing pegs of random clone troopers (except Keeli because Keeli is awesome) and Jedi Starfighters.
However, if they make a [decent] TIE Crawler, my life will be complete.

So…all the Wave 2 stuff is redecos? I'll probably pick up the Quad Changer because I'm a sucker for some of the bigger toys, but those redecos will stay on their pegs until a buy 2 get 1 free sale comes along.

There's still the Scout Walker, a DECENT version of the Star Destroyer (I was excited until I saw the shell formery that is what we're getting), the TIE Interceptor, the Y-Wing, the A-Wing, the regular TIE Fighter, heck half the rebel ships haven't been done yet. How about a Scout Trooper/Speeder bike? There's still plenty of OT stuff left. I mean, how many different versions of the Obi-Wan/Jedi Starfighter or Anakin/Jedi Starfighter do we really need? They just keep repackaging the same prequel crap over and over and over again. The fact that I have like 12 copies of the Classics Seeker mold should in no way invalidate this argument

You guys are wrong about the price of the Quadchanger. He's $45, nowhere near $100+. & I bring proof, from the end of May, from the first round of pics for this monstrocity:

So I take it a Dash Rendar/Outrider, Durge/Swoop bike, or royal guard/red TIE Defender is out of the question?
So sick of all these repaints and reused characters.
At least some of my choices got made, just not in the most well engineered of ways (Hasbro's battle droid/tank is meh):

Do these really sell well enough to warrant continued existence?
Mr_K
The Vader/Death Star has been the best from this line IMO……thought the star destroyer would be up there, but…fail
Stryker055
You mean those craptastic ones from the first waves? They did all the OT ones already. Besides, The Clone Wars is where it's at these days.
KnightHawkke
Is it just me or do half of these look like starwars shaped ice cream sandwiches?

Great. More prequel crap. My wallet just heaved a sigh of releif. If they ever actually do get around to making any real original trilogy stuff I might renew interest, otherwise I'm out.

The issue I've had with the Clone Trooper molds as a whole is yes, they look good in vehicle mode. But when you get to robot mode, that's when the issues come in. UYltra tight ratchets, odd proportions, etc.
artiepants
I thought there were a couple of decent Clone Troopers -to- Clone vehicles (which lent themselves to strong robot modes) but aside from those few, there's not much from this line i'd take if given.
Calabask
IMO that's probably one of the only good molds that's come out of this line.
SMOG
The rest is pretty crappy looking, but the little Scout sized Obi-Wan fighter is actually pretty good. With a bit of paint, a few of those will make rather excellent subordinate Sweeps troop builders!!

Anyways, these might be what makes me give up on the SWTF line. My collection consists of one of each initial release of a mold, and zero redeco/repaints. I think the little Class I figures look kinda lame, and the big Class III is a bit of a mess. Especially that Darth Vader mode. Fortunately I've already got a Death Star/Vader that is just fine.
This line has always been about very accurate alt-modes and ho-hum kinda shitty bot-modes. They seem to have gone off the rails a bit with these since the alt-modes look kinda crummy. Even the big Star Destroyer looks bad in those pics. Hopefully it's a lot better in person.

I was just thinking the same thing. I have never, NEVER, seen a sub-line last this long. I really would like to know who is buying them, because I've shown some of these to some hardcore SW fans, and they tend to be lukewarm to them.
