Darth-Vader-Robot
Hasbro have updated their online product catalog with some new Star Wars Crossovers. The Star Wars Transformers are still happening - what we've got here are the first reveal and images of two new Class 1 "Basic" Star Wars Crossovers, Darth Vader / Jedi Starfighter and Saesee Tiin / Jedi Starfighter. They are remolds of the earlier Anakin and Obi-Wan figures respectively, with new heads.

Also on this catalog update are official images of the Class 2 "Deluxe" figures Clone Commander Wolffe, Clone Captain Keeli and Battle Droid Commander.

Update: 2005 Boards member netkid informs us these are all available at retail now as well! Yay!

Those figures are out. I saw them yesterday at Target. I didn't know they were new.

I cant stand this idea a mixing brands,to me it does not work.

Keeli, Wolffe and the Battle Droid? They've been shown on card in previous official picture releases, never the toys themselves before though.

Or do you mean the Vader and the other one?

Either way, good to know.
netkid
^all of them.

I saw the first wave at Target & WallyWorld the other day and thought the same thing. I compared the basic Obi Wan to the deluxe one; aside from different art on the packaging the head sculpts are different as well. The basic Obi Wan figure can actually pass as a Cybertronian. With the right paint job he might make a decent Alpha Trion figure. I bought it and I like it. The light sabers are nice little touches as well.

These figures are part of the reason I stopped buying Star Wars TF's, which in turn is a reason I've decided to unload my collection of them.

Gotta free up that space for the TFC and FP goodness.

Huh, didn't expect that. I'll add a note, cheers dude!

Lame! if I want transformers, I'll get transformers and if I want Star Wars I'll get star wars. I hate half chicken and half fish.

The front page lists Darth Vader as a Jedi Starfighter but he is a Sith. also @ Commander Woffle. Might have to pick one up just because of his name.
reave
Huh. So people buy these. Weird.
G1Jetfire
When I saw the Anakin/Vader Republic Cruiser/Star Destroyer review, I declared I was done buying SWTF. But the deluxes are continuing. Even though the vehicles have been reused, I like the Clones and the Droid Commander. Time to put the hunting gear back on.
Ribieconvoy
Man, I saw these at Walmart today (along with thundercats! WOO!) and they are TINY. They're only about the size of a Commander figure. They seem to be selling pretty well though.
PlanckEpoch
The Darth Vader is out! YES! THIS is the one I wanted!
TornadoQuakeX
I also saw these at Target. Meh.
Stryker055
There's the Clone Wars fan in me that keeps trying to get me to want Keeli and Wolffe because they're really cool characters, but the part of me that understands that $16 is not a good price for those figures always overrules.
Optimist_Prime
I just wish they would fix the Gunship mold so the arms would have more articulation.
airfox
I can't believe how many times the Gunship has been redecoed. If it were a good mold, I'd understand it, but as it is, I can't believe it.

Omegatron
I have every release in that line until Clone Wars Obi Wan Kenobi...but with no original molds in site, I think I'm done for a while.
NCStarscream
I never liked the look of any of the larger Crossover figures, but thought the Class I Grievous looked cool and got it. It is a fun little figure. That Vader looks a bit intriguing, otherwise I'm still uninterested overall.

Because it's an Eta-2 Actis starfighter, which was used by the Jedi, but in the Clone Wars canon he kept his Eta-2 Actis into the early years of the Galactic Empire after the end of the Clone Wars.

Got Yoda, Black Emperor or Jungle ATAT as those three never came out in the UK and i'd like to get them ?

-------

Would be nice if they make a redeco of the Vader-Starfighter as an Imperial Pilot - i'm kind of surprised they never did that with the other version of the mould.

I would rather they keep making Episode 2 Starfighters of new Jedi than just keep reissuing Obiwan & Anakin.
There's at least another 3 worth doing possibly more.

Not to mention characters like Starkiller & Dash Rendar.

I hope they will make some Original trilogy Star Fighters when the 3D version come out. I really want an A & B wing SW:TF

I find it sort of interesting that Star Wars Transformers are now the single longest running Transformers Brand since Generation One they beat everything else Beast Wars, RID, Universe, they've been going longer than any other single post G1 Transformers brand. 2006-2011 is 5 years and it's sure to make it to 6 at least if it makes it past 2013 then it will probably have lasted longer than the American G1 run at that point 1984-1991 assuming Lucas is still making enough content to prop the brand up in term of media worthy of making into toy in 2012/2013.

Which is quite sobering really.

That Darth Vader is wack.
Transformers + Star Wars seemed like a dream come true to me, being my 2 most favoritest things in the whole wide world.

But... damn.

ah. and just to confuse things further, Hasbro called it a "Sith Starfighter" on the box

I still regret paying 20 Euros for Darth vader Tie advanced, the version without Vader figurine and not picking Generations Thrust

Hell at least I got Thrust later and my soul relaxed a bit

That's pretty common...and funny because it's ALSO "Jedi Starfighter" on various toys. Hasbro isn't too bothered with the in-canon names of the vehicles. Makes it easier to market and sell to kids I suppose.

Below are some ideas I had suggested on here for Star Wars Transformers when they first debuted.

I'm glad to see that some of them have been used, but the way they were implemented "transformation wise" was not as I had imagined. Considering the battle droid,I think it's execution could have been much better.
