In addition to the newest Universe Legends-class figures, the new issue of Previews also has a solicitation for the Wave 3 assortment of the Marvel Transformers Crossover. Wave 3 features the debut of Captain America (Hummer), Carnage (Muscle Car), Thor (Prop Plane), and War Machine (Jet). Previously, these figures have only been seen through concept drawings. This assortment is due out around January 2009.

Tekkaman Blade:
Captain America, War Machine, Thor and carnage.

eriku:
Awesome, that War Machine is what I've been waiting for, and is the reason I never bought the Iron Man TF.
General Tekno:
They look quite good indeed.
Mister Gone:
Hmmm I'll be interested in seeing the Thor and Cap alt modes
grock35:
thor as a prop plane = badass
G1Wheeljack:
Capt.America is a must, I'll wait for a reiew of Thor though. The others are pass.
Laughing Man:
Thor as a prop plane? Kinda weird, but then what vehicle would a Norse God transform into? Chariot, catapult?

Still, I would've gone with some other type of Army vehicle - like the thingamabob that Onslaught turns into, or some sort of missile carrier or helicopter.

But, hey, Thor as a transformer is a win for me!
shibamura_prime:
The Thor is pretty cool, but holy CRAP that Captain America is sweet as hell.
Mister Gone:
We are really in need of some Marvel baddies in this line. So far it's just Venom/Carnage. Where is my Dr.Doom artillery piece.

He turns into an A-10 Thunderbolt...a very colorful A-10 Thunderbolt.

Not a prop plane, but a *badass* anti-tank jet.
MegaMoonMan:
I'm wondering if the Captain is a retool/remold of Wolverine?

They seem to have a similar transformation, but Cap is a hummer instead of an off-road truck.
Satomiblood:
Looks like he could make a cool Universe Sentinel Prime custom.

Err, why can't people learn to take a decent picture, flash right in the center, was hoping to get a look at the headsculpt for Carnage ;-;

Ah well, the others are looking great.

No, he is a different model:

I swear to god I saw these about two months ago through Tformers or something. IT had their altmodes and everything (Thor and Cap America). The Cap kinda looked like the same Jeep mode that Wolverine has only more beefy and the Shield turned into the spare tire on the back truck bed. Can't remember Thor, the only thing I am for sure about is that the pics I saw were not art they were they real deal pics. I just have no idea where to find them.

funkatron101:
Ooh, new custom opportunities. That Cap. America gives me some ideas.
RonimusPrime:
That Captain America is what I've been waiting for. He's a definite buy.
lieutenantjazz:
Sweet, I love the Thor. Cap looks good to.
Incepticon:
Huh. I am pretty surprised at how cool Cap't America looks.

The Thor design is fairly clever as well.
Otispq:
Thor for sure, Cap maybe, but to bad for Carnage, that mold really wasn't very good.
MetroBoy:
Much better than the early Star Wars Crossovers. Still not buying them, but they at least are putting some effort into making these look like the characters.
Blaster_Prime:
Lets see if I got this right...in the past two waves we have gotten 8 new toys between the two...out of which we get 4 repaints, 1 repaint with a minor re-mold, and only 3 new molds.

Bad Hasbro, go sit in the corner and think about what you did!
Autovolt 127:
do want.

1 repaint with a minor remold... hmmm?

Well We have Hulk and Grey Hulk, there's one mold.
We have Spidey and Black Spidey, there's 2
Ironman for the 3rd mold
The Human Torch for 4
and Wolvie for 5

I see a problem with your math.

Also your definition of "remold"
under you definition Cybertron Prime is a remold of G1 Prime.

I think Thor's supposed to be an A-10 Thunderbolt or something. lawl pun

WE NEED MORE VILLAINS
Beastbot X:
Yeah, we saw these months ago. This isn't news.
Maximo Prime:
wow, these look cool. Any word on a helicopter?
Ceasar121:
Captain America & Thor = Bought.

The others can sit and rot. The Venom/Carnage mold has a great alt mode, suspect robot mode. Iron Man + Bleh. The Hulk is the only one I've really liked so far, but Cap and Thor look sweet enough to add.`
silentrob:
I haven't been into this line, but Thor does look sweet. He may be my first Marvel TF!
RedAlert Rescue:
I would have bought Iron Man by now if I could have found one for some reason all the rest are easy to find (relatively easy at least) but not Venom or Iron Man.

Thor/A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warhog" jet
Carnage/Muscle Car
& War Machine/ (Quinn?) Jet have all been seen at trade show slide shows.

But that's the first time I've seen a picture of Cap online - hopefully one of the online retailers will have images up soon and we can then see how similar he appears to be to Wolverine - he certainly shares some similarities to him.

I wonder if they will make a US Agent repaint ?
Omegatron1:
I have Venom, who isn't bad, but none of the rest have interested me...yet. Captain Hummerica and Thorjet will be mine, though.
MarkMilton:
this is the first time i've seen Thor in bot form, and he really looks nice. the wings definitely look like he's wearing a cape... but i've seen the alt mode already, and it looks absolutely horrible with it's color scheme. but, because the bot looks pretty nice, i'll probably buy him now.

Cap is the best of them easily. he looks like he's similar to Wolverine, but not quite a remold i would think.

he's a buy of course.
Predaking:
Want Thor and Cap, but will have to wait til next year since I spent all my toy budget for the year already. Unfortunately that's the only way to keep my toy buying urge under control.

Right. Not only is the Thunderbolt II the closest a fighter jet can get to being a flying tank, but it's appropriately named for the God of Thunder.

But that mold is so gonna get repainted by me. Colours = ugh!

Similar transformation, but way different on every other front. Not a remold I'd say.

I was actually just counting Waves 2 and 3

2 includes the Spidey Re-paint, the Hulk re-paint, Human Torch, and Wolvie. Only two of those are new molds, two are re-paints

3 seems to include the Ironman re-paint as War Machine, the Venom re-paint as Carnage, Thor, and Cap which is a re-paint of wolvie with a few minor changes to the same basic mold (what I called a re-mold.)

Sorry if that was confusing, not used to the terminology yet ^^;;
Death333:
While I really like Thor and CA's 'Mech' modes.... those altmode colors..... just hideous. And there's no real deco to the altmodes to try to pass it off.... some color fade, fire, lines.... something. Carnage is easily the coolest one here but he's nothing more than a repaint. As undersandable as that is it doesn't sell me on it. These are all pass for me I'm afraid.

First of all, I never said Human Torch was a remold of Iron Man. Secondly, if you look at the transformation scheme of Cap, IMO it looks like they used the base mold for wolverine and made a few changes (notably the roof, wheels, and the shield.)

I'm not trying to be rabid about this I'm just slightly annoyed at the lack of new molding for such a line, especially when some of these characters (Cap and Carnage) deserve much more than just a re-paint.
trebleshot:
I'll definitely be picking up Thor and Cappy. Don't really care for War Machine, but I am debating on getting Venom or Carnage.

Sorry, but Carnage is basically a "repaint" of Venom. Sure, vastly different characterizations and slightly different builds (Carnage more slender and Venom more bulky), but basically the same thing, which is an evil version of Spider-Man.

Honestly, I'm happy they didn't simply do a head-swap on the Black Spidey recolor and called it "Venom."

Yeah, we already saw Carnage and War Machine, and I think Thor. Cap I'm not so sure about. I definitely don't remember seeing his 'bot mode atleast.

I said it then, and I'll say it again, that's a pathetic attempt at War Machine. He's Black and Silver, not this silver and gold thing we're seeing. I'm passing on it out of protest. Do it right or don't even bother to do it.

I'm thinking, that they're thinking: "Sell these Marvel Crossover toys, so that we can have more funds to make more AWSOME : mainline Transformers!"

I can't argue with THAT thinking!

BTW does anyone remember WAAY back? "Day's of Future's Past"? (classic Claremont era X-Men story) A future when not only had the Sentinels captured all the mutants, but began considering ALL meta-humans a threat. And if they killed that hero, they were painted in his colors.

Hmmmm, the future is now?
Emperor Zarak:
they look great
Dinobot Nuva:
We saw these at SDCC (not on display, but from a slide show or something like that), digging Captain America/Hummer. Thor's wing transformation is great.
DN
gdztoyz:
It's a few repaints, but that's cool. It's Transformers, and it's Hasbro we're talking about here. If the line survives, we could easily see a Iron-Spider/ Scarlet Spider/Spidey 2099 motorcycle, a US Agent hummer, maybe a Toxin/Anti-Venom muscle car I haven't bought any, but I think these are cool.

I'm DEFINITELY getting Cap. Finally, he can face off with Optimus and it not be in a lame crossover comic!
Malikon:
damn, Cap A actually looks pretty cool!

**muuuusst resist**
Shin Densetsu:
I wonder if the plane will be called Iron Man mk II rather than War Machine like it was originally listed. Cap looks BAD ASS.
shroobmaster:
Hah! Captain looks like a Classics-ized Sentinel Prime from TFA!
