Transformers Collectors' Club Update: Runamuck Shipping
Has your Official Transformers Collectors' Club Overrun (aka Runabout) been looking lonely on your collection shelf? Fear not, for the the club has sent out an e-mail notifying members with the following info:
SURPRISE! This week we started mailing the FREE membership figures for 2012! We were able to get these manufactured much earlier this year, so off they go to you! It will take several weeks for them to reach all of the membership, so please be patient. If you don't receive your figure by the end of May, please let us know.
Great news! Additionally, the e-mail also goes onto say that they're waiting for the rest of the Club Exclusives to arrive from Chine and should arrive in the next week. Also, regarding Credit Card issues, the May/June issue of the Club Magazine will contain the following offers: credit card fraud counseling; instructions on how to place a credit alert on your accounts; and a free one-year subscription to a Credit Monitoring and Identity Theft Recovery Service that the club purchased on their members behalf.

Here are the latest updates from the Transformers Collectors' Club:

We are still waiting for the remaining club exclusives to arrive from China and we will start shipping as soon as they get here. They should arrive in the next week.
In your May/June issue of the Club Magazine, you will find a letter that offers: credit card fraud counseling; instructions on how to place a credit alert on your accounts; and a free one-year subscription to a Credit Monitoring and Identity Theft Recovery Service that we have purchased on your behalf.
If you have received any evidence of fraud on your credit cards, please call and make a report with the 800 number listed in the letter for the recovery services.
If you desire to take advantage of the Credit Monitoring and Identity Theft Recovery Service, your letter contains an individually assigned certificate number that will allow you to activate the service. Do not share this certificate number with anyone as it is a one-time use certificate. In addition, you will need to activate your service by June 15, 2012. This service will last for 12 months once you activate it. Again, we apologize for any issues this problem has caused our membership.
Please note that your Club Magazine will be approximately 2 weeks later than normal as we wanted to give you time to check your mailing addresses in the new Club Store before we used it for the first mailing. You should receive your issue by May 4th. Please contact us after that date if you have not received your magazine.
Finally, we hope to see you in Dallas (just 2 short weeks)! If you can't make it, check out the pictures at BotCon.com. Tomorrow (Friday, April 13) is the last day to register for BotCon attending or non-attending packages. We are very close to a sell out!

Same here. I like how the first confirmation that he's arriving is in New York and yet, I live next to Texas, where I assume they're shipping from and haven't seen it yet.

How was the packaging? Cramped like last year's Sideburn or is is better in any way?
Also wonder when the club store will have them up for purchase. I imagine those who bought multiples of Runabout are waiting impatiently... did FunPub say they will make the same number of Runamucks to go with Runabout? Wonder what will happen if there is a shortage... guess those scalpers with pre-sales on eBay might start crying...

paint is spot on perfect, no visible defects, can't believe Hasbro for once has painted the wheel rims on a figure...damn does it look nice though! Well done!

Took mine out. Box was a little crunched, but figure is perfect. The paint apps are great! I'm trying to remember how to do the alternate transformation to make him look more G1ish...

I doubt there is any rhyme or reason as to how TFCC ships these, so I wouldn't bother trying to figure it out.
They probably just get them all packaged then just dump them off at the PO randomly.
You'll just drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out, might as well just relax and assume it'll take weeks -- then you'll be pleasantly surprised if it gets here earlier

Since they are shipping from Fort Worth, I fully expect mine will arrive today. At the very least there's no reason I shouldn't get it before I leave for BotCon.
While I'm pretty excited for this figure to arrive, I'm more looking forward to buying a couple more (if I can) to match the extra sets of Over-Run I have.

unless yours hasnt shipped yet... they're not shipping all of them on the exact same day, nor are they doing it by who's closer to them... it might even be that they're shipping them based on zipcodes... possibly hitting North East US first...

ARE they shipping from Ft Worth? I know that's the return address on the shipping label, but that doesn't mean they are shipped from there. Can anyone see what the postmark actually says?

just checked the mail, no Runamuck yet. But coincidentally, my Marvel G1 volume 3 was in there

Most likely how these are done is they have the address database and that is sent to be processed and then sorted according to how it will ship. Then this data file is used to set up the shipping labels for print.
Those labels are printed in order based on the sort. (example all of MD is bunched together and so on and do forth.)
FunPub either drops off the bagged figures and they are then boxed where they do their shipping or they're already boxed.
Then the labels will be added to the box and then based on the sort the boxes will be sorted to where they are going to go. So you have multiple stacks of these boxes. From there it will all depend on what stack was sorted first and was grabbed first and the like.

it says FORT WORTH TX, as well, but Pete said they ship from other places... maybe they're just paid for from Fort Worth? I'm not entirely sure how that works though... maybe some of them are shipped from other places? or when he said that he meant that they're just shipped from a different facility (ie not the main FP HQ)

Okay, couldn't make out the postmark. Yeah, I'm sure he just meant a different facility/shipping company, and not multiples of them. That would just be adding cost, work, and possible confusion to a process that doesn't really involve that many numbers of packages (4000 really is not a lot)

Got mine today - I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio and last name begins w/ a "M". I've been a member for a few years and renewed sometime in January or early February.
Interestingly enough, there was a mailing label underneath mine. Didn't that happen previously with another figure? Anyways, the label under mine was for a Jared S. from Broadway, Virginia.

yeah, i assumed he meant different city, but that could be entirely wrong... either way, nice to see these are shipping and arriving!
edit: after double checking, i think i misread what he said...
so, i think that would indicate that shipping differently would be the method of shipping (3rd class via priority and fed ex, etc) and from different locations, ie from around the city, not necessarily a different city.
interesting... thanks... someone earlier in this thread said they wanted one...
