Welcome to TFW2005’s coverage of Hasbro’s Investor Day 2011.
We at TFW2005 attended the event online and here we are bringing you all the Transformers Goodies back from Hasbro’s Investor Day 2011.
Many number of speakers including Hasbro’s CEO Brian Goldner spoke about their plans for the coming year 2012 and beyond.
Take a look at all the juicy details and images, after the jump. Brian Goldner stepped onto the stage to give us a taste of things to come. He mentioned that Transformers: Prime is the number #1 cartoon for boys in the UK.
Soon Eric Nyman came to talk about gaming. He mentioned that Transformers: Dark of the Moon Video Game is one of the top movie based games for the year 2011. And looking forward to play Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
David D. R. Hargreaves is the speaker for Hasbro Studios and Hub. We were given our first look at Transformers: Rescuebots cartoon Bumblebee.
Furthermore, Transformers Live Action Movie Optimus Prime is the hottest selling Optimus Prime toy ever. Hasbro is hoping Transformers: Prime Optimus Prime would follow suit.
Hasbro has high expectation on the Net Dragon’s Transformers MMO for China.
Fun started after the Lunch Break, especially to those who were there at the event. Lots of Sneak Peeks.
Transformers: Rescuebots cartoon will feature their key products. And the show is set to start next week (that’s what we heard they say. Could be a an error). We were then treated to a sneak peek video. Sadly however, only those who attended could see it, we can only hear it. Optimus Prime was talking to the Autobots. The voice is similar to Peter Cullen’s. Can’t tell for sure whether it’s him or not.
Then a sneak peek of Transformers: Prime packaging.
They mentioned Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. It seems as though a full product line will accompany the game release.Nothing much was told regarding the next Transformers Movie.
Q&A SessionBrian Goldner: “As we told you at the Conference Call, [We] had a discussion. It’s silly of us not to talk about another Transformers movie given the success of the third movie.”
That’s it folks. See you at the next event. Thank you very much for tuning-in with our coverage!

Unless there is new information to add, there is no reason to bump an old thread, especially one that is 4 years old. Doing so may result in infractions.

Love it

That'd be great if it meant an opportunity to implement the 'T-Rex bursting out of the Autobot' transformation, but we'd be more likely to end up with gimmick-lock than Grimlock at Leader class.
Grimlockimus
FoC complete toyline?
…….
Leader Class Grimlock. MAKE.IT.HAPPEN.

I think Generations will be passed this year, at least for the time being. I think, starting in March, TFP is going to be the mainline while "Movie Trilogy" and "Fall of Cybertron" will form what would normally be the Generations spot, with the movie line coming first and transitioning to FOC either when the game comes out or shortly after. That line will then transition to Generations or something like it some time in 2013.
cuters
and all 5 dinobots too

If you mean by having a G1 esque Arcee than maybe! It's not impossible that the FOC toyline may give a type of CHUG version of her! I'm still looking foward to the TFP version though deluxe or otherwise.
Matt_M
Maybe this will be the line that finally gives us a proper Arcee?!
kaijuguy19
Rescue bots is aimed more at kids so of course shows like BW,TFA, and TFP are better in comparison. I'm glad the FOC game is getting a full line too! And I like the TFP packaging as well!

Looking at FOC Optimus now he does have aspects of the TFP Optimus on him.
Autobot Burnout
Wasn't Blitzwing's Animated presence more because Hasbro vetoed the Sixshot idea and they needed a backup? Plus, reviews have been kind of mixed when it comes to recent triple changers, including the three you mention, so Hasbro might not want to go down that route again anytime soon.

Right on,seeing the FOC Jazz is dream come true to some of us

Excelent so it can be assumed, I recall reading a list from a credited user that there would be leader class figures of season 1 characters but, I never heard anything more about it.
SilverOptimus
Didn't specifically said, but they do have long-term plans for Transformers: Prime.
Rob
I meant the prime line, my fault, I should have been more specific.

If I might interject here, you're right in no small way at least; Blitzwing should be more likely on the shortlist of pre '86 movie characters due for Generations/United, etc treatment almost by default now. While retool/redeco potential (for multiple characters seen in the cartoons) seems less of a necessity when lines like Animated are considered, this sort of factor is prevailent in Classics etc and so would push Blitzwing down any hypothetical list.
Which brings me back to the mention of Trailbreaker you were addressing. One piece of circumstantial evidence that Trailbreaker, Gears and Brawn are at some stage of development (for presumably Deluxe size realeases as two already have Legends figs) is that FunPub/Botcon/TCC have stated they are steering clear of characters that deserve broad classics releases fro Hasbro, specifically mentioning the three above. Naturally, their redeco/retool potential as Hoist, Swerve and Outback respectively does not hurt their chances in the above hypothetical list situation either.
SilverOptimus
Only mention of Movie toys was the fact that Movie Optimus Prime sold well.
Rob
Is there ANY news about a leader class prime megatron and Optimus? Someone throw me a bone here I need my in scale commanders.
FOC line awesome!
