HIRWC-Title
Hello dear readers! You are with the TFW2005 Coverage of Hasbro Investor Day for the month of November, 2010.

Hasbro Investor Day was held last November 9th with a large number of speakers talking on behalf of their respective fields regarding their plans for the coming year of 2011 and beyond.

We at TFW2005, attended the live coverage over the internet and we’ve put together all the Transformers Goodies we got, after listening to more than 3 hours of corporate speech (Not boring at all, mind you. Almost all the speakers threw some jokes and it was very entertaining).

We were treated with information regarding:
Transformers 3
Transformers: Prime
Upcoming Transformers GamesMMOG and War For Cybertron 2
Transformers Theme Park Ride
And more awesome stuff…

Continue-on reading to findout even never-before-seen images of Upcoming Transformers Media.

The webcast started off with the usual manner. What we were interested in was, for the speeches by Bennett Schneir (Entertainment and Motion Pictures), Stephan Davis (Entertainment Television) and Mark Blecher (Digital Gaming Evolution). You will find all the slide notes by them below on the "Additional Images" section.

But, at 15th minute we were shown two Digital Ads now on display at the New York Times Square. It was for the Hub and Transformers: Prime. So on, the Transformers: Prime trailer (Seen before at IGN) was also shown to the audience who attended the Investor Day.

Surprising us, John Frascotti, Chief Marketing Officer of Hasbro started talking about Transformers Marketing. “Simply put , 2011 is going to be the exciting year for Transformers ever” said Mr. Frascotti. “With the 3rd movie coming in July, It really is the perfect story told in 3D. Can you imagine what it’s going to look like when we see these 40 foot robots, transforming and battling in 3d? So, it will be THE 3D event of the year. But in addition to have this 3D event, what we are going to have in 2011 for the first time, a twelve months a year storytelling through Transformers: Prime on the Hub”. We were shown a slide with a never-before-seen image of Optimus standing somewhere what looks like either a Hidden Autobot Base or Cybertron. And then even more surprisingly our first look at the upcoming Transformers MMOG by Net Dragon. “We are going to introduce an MMOG in China and Korea” (Other countries… Don’t worry… Read on). It seems that the Transformers 3 Video Game will be released on PS3, Wii, Xbox360 and on the new Nintendo 3DS by Activision. Then he talked about taking Botcons internationally. “Also on 2011 we are going to introduce the Ultimate Transformers Experience” continued Mr. Frascotti “Transformers Theme Park Ride. We developed it in partnership with Universal and Michael Bay. In Universal Studios, Singapore in 2011 we are going to debut our Transformers Theme Park Ride and our second Transformers Theme Park Ride on Hollywood in 2012.

After that Bennett Schneir stepped on to the stage an hour later. Nothing much was said actually. But after listening, we felt how lucky we are to have Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and the rest of the Cast and Crew. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon DVD is to be released on Fall 2011. Oooh! The Battleship movie… They are talking about it. Pete Berg is directing it (Cool!!! The guy from Hancock). Kate Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker (Now we know where the TF3 rumor of her came from), Liam Neeson, Jesse Plemens, John Tui, Tadanobu Asano and Rihanna will be starring in it. And a new movie called Ouija by Michael Bay.

Oh, Yay! G. I. Joe 2……. Work is going on well. And a new movie called Micronauts produced by JJ Abrams (MI3, Star Treck fame).

Stephan Davis talked about the Intro and Five Day Mini Series of Transformers: Prime. “November 26th the Hub will sneak peek our fully CGI Transformers: Prime series. Launch week will also include a special presentation of the Making Of Transformers: Prime which includes interviews with the fans and favorite cast members and never-before-seen footage.” Continuing on “Additionally, G. I. Joe returns to the small screen with G. I. Joe: Renegades also premiers on the Hub on November 26th.

Mark Blecher, then came to talk about gaming. Talked about Hub Website Games. Talked about Revenge Of The Fallen game and War For Cybertron (E3 Trailer was playing after that). War For Cybertron 2 coming in 2012. AND the upcoming Transformers Massively Multiplaying Online Game WILL get ported to other countries as well. YAY!!!

That’s pretty much it, regarding Transformers stuff talked at the Hasbro Investor Day, November 2010. Take a look at the images below for all the things we’ve mentioned above.

Thanks For Reading!

Not much about the movie. Surprised to hear a lot about the upcoming games.
Wheeljack_Prime
WFC 2? Sounds like Ratchet/Ironhide and the Seekers may see another chance at life in plastic form.
Cyber-Scream
WFC 2? Whoa. I did not see that coming. Very cool.
General Tekno
Well. Color me upset that on that "Star Studded Cast" page they listed "Optimus Prime as Optimus Prime" and "Bumblebee as Bumblebee".

Give the voice actors some love, Hasbro! I mean, seriously.
Ephland
Man do I hate that Optimus Prime pose...
Deadend
Go Hasbro, Go hasbro, it's your birthday. YEAH! Err uh, yeah count me excited, I guess it's true, they really are starting to shape up on their way to becoming the next viacom... Except for the fact they care about their properties and do them justice, which in my book means they'll surpass viacom in 5-10 years.

WFC 2!!!!!!!!!

please high moon....this time....fix your game so that it has no server issues.....i would like to play my game....
grimlock1972
excellent stuff, could have done with some toy images but hey its corporate meeting not Botcon so i did not expect much.
Sledgehammer
WFC2 was a given (hey, it's Activision), but very happy about it nonetheless...interested to see how the MMOG turns out, too. But taking Botcon international? BRING IT.

(And JJ doing Micronauts? BLOODY HELLFIRE, YES. )
guard convoy
so talks about botcon going international....hope that means the american botcon would still happen...if not...well, they had to find some new way to screw us fans over in the middle of the country didn't they?
billcosby
WFC2. That's immense. I feel odd... sated at last. Hasbro looks to be bringing the win next year... and taking our wallets!
Tigermegatron
thanks for the info.
Superquad7
I'm really thrilled the brand is doing this well.

I'm guessing it means the following: in addition to botcon happening once a year in america. other countries will "also" have botcon happening once a year.

it certainly "doesn't" imply, botcon is now a traveling circus. that will pop up in only "one" different country per year.

Very true. I think that's what he meant. I got the same thought. He spoke the term "Botcon" as a general term. Which means, while THE Botcon is in US, there will be Botcon lookalikes around the world. Cybertroncon in China is the Botcon of China.
Paxtin
Micronauts produced by JJ Abrams? That might just be kinda good.

WFC 2 should be interesting. Hopefully they can pull it off without it just being more of the same.
The MMOG somewhat interests me. I kind of look forward to hearing more about that.
Beastbot X
War for Cybertron 2 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (though I hope it gets a subtitle and not just "2" after it)

Yeah, FunPub already has enough trouble with international stuff with the Club. I couldn't imagine them doing a Botcon internationally.... MAYBE Canada. MAYBE.

EDIT: Also, I keep noticing this... some news sources like this one are saying Prime is premiering November 26th, others say the 29th. Which is it?!
Oracle_Aesir
1. Still no sign of Leo, despite them saying he's in it originally
2. INTERNATIONAL BOTCONS??!?!?!
shroobmaster
Am I the only one that laughed at their "SMALL AND BIG FRANCHISE" graphic using Vector and Movie Prime?
General Tekno
I don't think I could see a Canadian con happening. Not unless TFcon were to affiliate.

And the way things are now, there's an unofficial affiliation anyhow since Hasbro Canada shows up.

I imagine Fun Pub has a North American license, anyway.
Simonatron
WFC 2!! On a high right now!

Anyone have any concept art or pics of what the Transformers MMo is supposed to look like? I remember hearing about it before but it was only for Asia and the Middle East at that stage. Is it G1?

There is a tiny image on our article. Look at the "Additional Images" section below the article.
Takeout
The MMOG is getting ported to other countries? BotCon is going international?

Nope *raises hand*

Was I the only one who thought, "Vector Prime, do you feel small compared to Bayverse Prime, despite being a multidimensional Transformer? If so, my feelbads are hurt, too "

But Hasbro UK appear/donate items at Auto Assembly as well, but its not in any way official still, just like with TFcon
Grimwing
Botcon and the Transformers theme park ride situated together at some point would be mui excellent'a

Their making a Micronauts movie. If that means a update of the vintage toyline to go with it, This is exciting news.
Rodimus Mike
I am not really familiar with Micronauts, but I do have one figure I got at a garage sale 4 or 5 years ago,but if the movie is any good I might try my hand to start collecting some of those.

I also am tickled shitless to hear about WFC2,the first one is so damn sweet I am sure the second will be even better. And sorry all but what does MMOG stand for,as I have no clue.
Batman
Damn they made a lot of money in the last few years. It is nice to hear that they are doing really well.

Well botcon has gone international in Britain and Japan before. OK its been a decade but it makes sense for Hasbro to have official conventions spread across the world. And it makes sense for them to all be under one brand name. AutoAssembley and TFcon have shown Canada and Britain/Europe could support an official event.

Is Cybertron-con a Takaratomy event? It makes sense for Taktom to handle the asian conventions.

CybCon was Hasbro (Hong Kong) if memory serves me correctly.
Mechafire
WFC 2? Fuck year.
Smasher
The graphics were funny and I'm stoked for WFC 2.
The MMO has potential, but such things are difficult to make profitable.
Ra88
I really wonder if Botcon will team up with existing fan conventions in it's international endeavors, or if it's going to do everything on it's own. Wonder which countries they'll include as well; hopefully, there won't be only one Europe version that will be held in the UK. Would love to have a(n official) Dutch Botcon.

Not surprised they're releasing the TF MMOG overseas; cheap game that is guaranteed to attract the fans.
baggzey23
WFC2!!

let's just hope they don't muck it up like the first one (that game had a lot of potential and it went out the window)
Eric
Transformers MMO game? Count me in.

Transformers: WFC 2? Count me out.
Trailbreaker77
War for Cybertron 2 huh? Shouldn't it be titled War for Earth since that is where 1 left off.

Edit: I'm kidding I know it's just an announcement of the game.
Dormamu
WFC 2.....maybe now we can get a Slipstream figure!
weeklyhero
I'm just hoping that the Wii gets something better than Cybertron Adventures this time around. And a MMORPG? Holy crap, I so want that!
Matt_M
I wonder if the people who put together this slideshow really talk about Transformers in terms of corporate buzzwords, or if they're just doing it because they think that's what the investors want to see.

Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the first one end with Optimus saying that the core group of Autobots still have work to do before leaving Cybertron themselves?
Foster
This slide was shocking! Wonder if it's adjusted for inflation?
