I suspect some of the prices for buying figures would still be quoted in USD…

ive always wanted to go to the real TFCon in Toronto, and the girl just out of the blue said she's always wanted to go to toronto. Boom, see you there! fyi, she'll be signing autographed photos of my sig!
jk, super stoked though, gonna get access to everything 3rd party that I can though!

I will be there

Everybody will probably be bringing MP-10's for him to sign but if you bring this guy, you'll probably stand out among the crowd.

It might be worth it to buy some Canadian now if you know for sure you're going… Who knows what the exchange rate will be in July? Might be better, might be worse…
I'm no economist, but I do know that our dollar's tied to oil prices. I can't imagine those staying low for very long… At any rate, no one WOULDN'T take American dollars up here.
Matrix_holder
Usd is worth $1.20 Canadian right now. Check your bank to see if you can get a better deal than that or check on canadian bank sites to see what you can get for your usa currency, either way you're laughing because you're going to get more for your money at tfcon Canada.
If you bring up $500 USD you're getting $600 Canadian.
DavetheUsher
So, being from the States…. Will USA currency fly over fine at the convention or will that be an issue in anyway….

I buy my tickets now it the Airlines and Hotel.

Sorry, auto correct messed that up. Why does auto correct fix numbers? It was $200 usd for Cullen at Texas comic con but it was $300 for the Cullen and Welker combo.
Matty
Just registered. TFcon is officially happening for me!
WilyMech
The Texas one is with Frank Welker and Peter Cullen.

Actually, the actors at TFCON last year charged for their autographs ($20 Canadian I think but I could be wrong about the price), it has become the industry standard. Peter Cullen is the most in demand Transformer actor so it is understandable that there would be a much higher premium for his signature and a much Higher appearance fee as well. TFCONs VIP package is $150 Canadian for a weekend pass that gets you into all of the panels and the dealer room, a guaranteed autograph with certificate of authenticity and photo with Peter Cullen in a private VIP setting, a guaranteed spot in Peter Cullens Panel is a much more fan friendly and affordable price than any other convention with Peter Cullen signing (look at texas comic con with the signing price of $200 USD , $300 for cullen/Welker combo). Protoman and JawzD put up an information pod cast of Transformes Slag about the this, here's the link.
Edited to fix auto correct.

I find it unfair that I would have to pay an extra 100 dollars to get an autograph and picture with peter, when every other guest has had that be free
General Tekno
The limitation is probably because of the contractual agreement TFcon worked out with Cullen's agent. He's not a cheap guest (which I don't blame him for, given he IS in demand) and is only doing 100 autographs per session, after all.
DPrime
Indeed… I'm really wondering why we're limited to just one autograph here… Two seems more reasonable given the price. Or at least the option to buy more (within reason, of course!)…
I want my DVD set signed, primarily, but it'd be really nice to get my MP-10 box signed as well.
Super_Megatron
The costs to offer something like this is obviously more expensive than what fans are used to at TFcon. The ticket is to cover those costs for the people that want the opportunity to meet Peter Cullen at TFcon.
DavetheUsher
Seeing as this will be one of those one and only opportunities most likely i feel like ya gotta break the bank and go for it. I'm probably gonna get one just for the occasion but I know the pickings are pricey.
gawddammit
That's what I was thinking about. Tempted to buy a Taraka MP-10 just for him to sign.
DavetheUsher
You think a Transformers Masterpiece Optimus Prime would work well with the ink on top of the plastic case? Iv'e been wondering that myself.
DavetheUsher
No one here knows me at all but I'm goin! lol
