The TFcon exclusive 2011 mini comic drawn by IDW’s Alex Milne, colored by Josh Perez and written by Protoman is now up for the public to view (minus the dialogue).
The story tells of Fortress’ transition from his original Planet Master body to his new Fortress Maximus upgrade, as well as introduces us to Toxin, the previously unknown 4th Decepticon Headmaster of Scorponok’s gang. This story is based in the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity and happens before episode 1 of Transformers: Headmasters.
Also, a careful eye will note that the Stronghold figure and drawn character are slightly different due to the design not finalized at the time the illustration was completed. Additionally, the Toxin character shares the same body of G1 Chromedome, just sporting a different color scheme.

I WANT THIS COMIC FOR ONE REASON ONLY………
HE is in it!
So they couldn't give tongue-in-cheek cracks at Powered Commander about how much he "looks like" Ultra Magnus
Scaleface
I don't have the recolors, but I do have an original Cobra and a spare Chromedome body. They might get displayed like that for a while as a Toxin standin.
Protoman
Glad you guys enjoy it
jason jupiter
yeah, that custom chromdome would be sweet!
Starstriker
I think it is TFCON's exclusive Powered Commander. As a Diaclone collector, the cab should be blue. But if you subscribe to the Italian GIG versions some were packaged with a red prime cab.
So which ever you go for. Red prime, custom blue cab or KOtoys blue prime.
Scaleface
Well, technically Stronghold is the older version of the character who would become Fortress then? This is sorta like the pre-Beast Wars Botcon story, but with Headmasters.
Is that supposed to the be Fansproject Powered Commander, or the G1 Diaclone Ultra Magnus in the comic? What color is his truck?
Starstriker
Yeah, and the toxin snake looks awesome. I want a junker chrome dome now to custom into a Toxin body.
Protoman
Toxin's original Transtector was snake based but it was destroyed in battle (sadly the 2 tech specs included with the comics were not scaned that explain more included why Scouting Force X is there too), anyhow he needed a new body and Loafer had to die =P
Cab (The fire truck) and company are in a garage, they are on mechanic lifts.

None of the Decepticon Headmasters in either continuity were referred to as Horrorcons, excluding Apeface and Snapdragon.

Well, the body can be explained by the pictures..as in he stabbed a bot and jacked his transector. Also I guess it would fit in a sense that his head form is already a non-humanoid form
RedAlert Rescue
I can't speak for the Japanese Continuity but the American toys call pretty much all Decepticon Headmasters "Horrorcons" of one sort or another (same sort of idea as RID Predicons really). So a Chromedome body isn't really fitting the bill in that regard.
Q: Do they have Gravity lifts they use in vehicle mode in Headmasters – if not look a flying Fire Engine ! (joke)
Scaleface
Yes, I see Fortmax, I mean the smaller blue and yellow spaceship parked between the two Autobot shuttles.
redguyver
Fortmax
Scaleface
On page 6 is that a Microman Transfer Fortress ?
1976 Microman Base Series

I thought maybe it was Rhodney. Small, blue and yellow and all. Good to know it was Jack. His arms do look more like Jack.
Protoman
It depends, some episodes had him shorter then Galvatron when he was in the shadows, some flashback episodes had him as tall as the smaller Master pilots, some episodes have him barking orders to Sixshot face to face. So……..
Also for those who missed it, that's Planet Master scientist and co creator of Maximus, Jack working on Fortress's new body on the last panel of page 5.
The Cab, Shoota and Minerva cameo are just the transtectors in storage for when they will later appear in Masterforce and be given to the children.
There is no dialogue cause Alex just wants to show off his art and not my words =P

It depends on your definition of "goodness". Some prefer nice art above a good story, and the art is on full display here. Plus the con is already over.
redguyver
You gotta get the comic from tfcon why would you get All the goodness with out going to the con,
