Something like that. I'd really like those to happen one time.
See my idea would be more along the lines of Strafe or Scattorshot like you mentioned. They probably want to stay away from figures that Hasbro can do and make money from.

As a lot of people know the botcon 07 set was made cuz at the time Hasbro had no plans to further produce those molds due to the movie line. I seriously doubt they'de make that mistake again like doing Swindle from Hound or Red Alert from Sideswipe. Hence why we got Shattered Glass figures with a few characters and molds that are well liked ie Jazz but he's evil and made from a somewhat crappy mold and Starscream from a pretty rare and well liked mold
Silent_Magnus:
Shattered Glass Cyclonus would be pretty cool.
netkid:
Would anyone be willing, if they have them, to take their club combiners and Energon Barricade and combine them all together?

Then digibash the main body into Heatwave colors to give us somewhat of an idea of how all these figures will look when combined.

I have to confess, I'm a bit surprised not to have seen such a digibash yet...

And, I know I'm late to the party, but I've just gotta say how dumbfounded I am that anyone could claim that FP ever promised an all-new mold. That's almost certainly never going to happen for any exclusive, much less the incentive you get just for joining up. It's certainly something that's never, ever been promised.

I swear, people seem to love exaggerating the occasional misstep (the once-believed new heads) to the point of rabid misinformation.
netkid:
FP never promised a new mold, just a new Combiner head for the main combiner bot.

The new head was mentioned to be more "Prime" like than what Bruticus Maximus has.

However, everything about his head is already so Prime like(except for that vent where his mouth is), even better if you keep his "horns" folded in:

Bruticus Maximus (2005) - Decepticon - www.tfu.info

Personally I'd just slap a faceplate on Bruticus Maximus's vent-mouth and call it a day.

I was thinking it'd be a little more then just a new mouth plate, but this comment by Pete pretty much confirms that they're using the Bruticus Maximus head as a base.

He was painted in a way that resembled Hot Rod, right? He was a vibrant red with some yellow on him.

Ten bucks says this guy's combiner head looks Primey.

I'll one-up you. Ten bucks says it looks very similar to the un-remolded head and people wonder why they went to the trouble to have it remolded. :> Same basic shape. A couple subtly-changed angles.

I'll take both those bets!
Just as I figured!

Does anyone think Heatwave will come with a comic where all 5 guys finally meet up and combine for the first time?
Fosterlager:
Hopefully they don't pull a Nightbeat with the head remold. Or I won't bother tracking down the other jet I missed. I'm barely interested in this as it is.

?

The post says exactly the opposite - he's taking the bet, because he knows it WON'T look like Bruticus. That way he wins $10.

Unless I'm missing something here...?
Thundershot:
I think he meant by taking both of those bets is that they'll NOT be doing that, and Pete will have the 10 bucks.... just reading into it a bit...

Correct! But actually I will get 20 bucks total...

So it's both then! It's taking the Bruticus Maximus head and remolding it into a Prime! Or making a Prime head and making it look Bruticus-y?

Right?

What about Monstructor? I'd totally be down with repaints of that (or even reissues) as a freebie.

Ah, I thought the whole thing was worded a bit weird.
Can't wait to see it.

Well, sure. I'm not sure if you have any Pretender Monsters though. They are twerps, pretty much Legends sized. You'd need the 'bot and the shell to even compare with a current Scout or Activator:

Granted, my melon is on the big side but still.
trebleshot:
Great, once I get him, I will finally be able to open the others and build my gestalt. Hopefully, we'll also get a name for the combined form.
Railguard:
Looks cool...to bad he wont be released to retail. Oh well, I would have bought him if he was released.
flywheels:
Very pleased w/ the choice in mold. Do we have an idea of the gestalt's name yet?

SWTF Greivous wheelbike. With a new head, natch. Though I wouldn't be all that keen on it, myself.

No, they were going to go to each member's home and ask what they wanted, then give them a one off, original toy, for free.

They NEVER said that. That's STUPID. You're just outright lying now. They don't have the manpower to do that.

I clearly remember it being a brain-reading device that worked through the internet, and if you visited any transformer site it read your brain, got your ideas and address, then made a toy per person and would mail it to you.

So please stop your lies, and stick to the facts. Brain-reading internet devices are facts.
Fosterlager:
Michael Bay strikes again.
Thundershot:
The only thing I seem to remember is that the individual bots would have new heads and that the final member would be more significantly remolded.

We just got one step down from that. That's fine... I'd rather they use the cash flow to make more classics or shattered figures.

Chris
Lumpy:
i say who cares what they said? i'm sure there's a lot of things the club would LIKE to do, but just can't. they dont have the money. and yet people will sit here and bitch about the lack of club things, but i bet as the club grows, it'll only get better...and then hopefully most of the people complaining will be members and realize there's some cool stuff there...
squawkbox74:
So what do they all combine to become?
Silent_Magnus:
One of the original 13 transfomers created by Primus.
He is likely to have "Prime" in his name and is the guardian of rarified energon.
airfox:
Heatwave is looking very cool ... but why no pic of the remolded piece? That's what we wanted to see Pete!

Yeah! Too cheap! I'd rather they burn their money modifying the symbol than giving the toy a new head! What were they thinking?!

Nah. The first pitch said: the first free figure would be a straight redeco, and starting on year two remolded heads. Never a brand new mold. Who do you think FP is? GM?

I looked through some of the pages but didn't see this mentioned. I got the Shattered Glass comic today and noticed that Heatwave is actually in it. He's on the page where Megatron attacks the launc-pad. H'e right above him to the left.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before.

Yes, we noticed it on April 24th 2008 - at BotCon 2008 when people got their comics

We didn't have the name or anything at that point, but everyone noticed it was the barricade mold in red and blue.

There were a few characters in the comic that didn't have toys identified for them yet and I know most people, such as myself, didn't go to Botcon or get the oppurtunity to read the comic so I figured I'd point it out. That and he was pretty obscure on the page and I don't recall seeing a news article up on him being in the Shattered Glass botcon comic.

That's one of the reasons it's good to read an entire thread (not just a few pages) before throwing out comments like that. You tend to get heckled a bit. . No big deal I'm sure it's all in good fun though. and it was also mentioned in this thread too
