Gotta say though, my interest levels are kinda low until I see the new combined mode head.

Another thing I wanna know (since the photos look to be photoshop mock-ups) is whether or not he's got translucent plastic going on, and where.

Wow, that looks really nice. Might join the club to get this. Although I'm not a fan of TF's made up of just translucent plastic. Will have to wait and see what the final product looks like.

Anyone noticed that he has the shattered glass decepticon logo in bot mode and the regular autobot logo in alt mode?

nice point...maybe he is a decepticon in single mode but they wanted the autobot symbol on the chest of the combiner since we know it is supposed to be designated a prime ?

I really like how this one turned out! They really did a nice job with the color layout, and I also like that he's both an Autobot, and a Shattered Glass Decepticon. I'll be looking forward to getting him in, and finally assembling the full figure! Not to mention seeing what the combined form's new head looks like!

how do you figure...shattered glass story is that autobots are evil and decepticons are good....

if you have a evil faction symbol on one mode and a good faction symbol on the other mode...there is no way you can be nice robot in the single robot mode and good in the combined mode....

I wonder if those who miss him will have to pay $20 for him like the previous "incentive" figures, or will he be more expensive?

He has a SHATTERED GLASS Decepticon symbol in bot mode and a REGULAR Autobot symbol in his alternate and combined modes.

If there are any left...i would sell them for $25 atleast since it a larger class sized transformer...i would assume this guy costs more to make just because he is larger than the others...

The club is pretty cool and all, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for non-americans unless you really want to own the figures and read the fiction.
Or if you attend Botcon every year.

I joined this year right past the deadline, so I had to wait for the 2009 one, but I have to admit this looks very awesome. I thought it was going to be a new remolded head for the deluxe robot, not the combiner itself, so this is somewhat of a surprise to me.

Looks good. Nothing really surprising about him so far. The combined mode head is what I'm waiting for. I am thinking it's odd to have a red a-bot and red d-con symbol on him.

Now that the whole SG universe exists I think if they all had red faction symbols it would make a bit more sense. They couldn't do much about the molded symbols and I doubt the SG universe was even in the planning stages when they first planned the exclusives but it could work retroactively

Side note: His feet seem to be TF'd wrong to me but it works

As far as I can guess he won't be ALL translucent since none of the other limbs have been. The last one I got, Topspin, had the least amount of clear parts of the 4.

I think he's a good guy, shattered glass decepticon and hasn't combined in that universe so really in the normal universe, he'll be an autobot

They're redecos (and one remold) of five of the energon combiner molds.

Looks good to me. It will be one of those rare occasions like Animated Shockwave to feature logos from both factions. However, the deco is a little different form the art we saw in the shattered Glass comic here:

The biggest advantage this toy will have is the new combiner head. I suspect that they will sell this toy individually for more money than the other combiner limbs.

Pretty nice-looking, and awesome name, too. Also like the two faction symbols-- I guess it's 100% confirmed that the Club comic will take place in the Shattered Glass universe starting next issue, then.

you know maybe he has the "shattered glass" symbol BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO CHEAP TO GIVE HIM A NEW SYMBOL!, dumba**es, they did the same thing with botcon rhinox because his was engraved, but i didnt have the Energon version of him so i dont know the toy, sorry bout that but some people gotta use common sense

Yeah, real cheap asses here. First, it's a deluxe (previous years were basics). Second, it has a remolded combiner head. Third, it ties into the other club fiction - unless you really think they did all of BotCon 2008 just to keep from molding a different faction symbol for the club freebie.

I don't own any version of the mold, but from looking at pictures. It doesn't look like it even has a molded faction symbol

The faction symbol in vehicle mode would mean he is an Autobot in combined form.
