Mark Bellomo will be attending NJCC as a special guest, promoting his new book, “Totally Tubular ’80s Toys“. Filled with super rad toys and bodacious memories, this righteous ride back in time when Madonna ruled and Spinal Tap amplifiers went to 11. Joe, Pac-Man, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong-as well as lots of fun and smiles.
Mark Bellomo has written more than 150 articles for ToyFare, Wizard Magazine, Lee’s Toy Review, Tomart’s Action Figure Digest, and most recently for Toy Shop Magazine, where he served a lengthy tenure as their Action Figure Columnist. He has written a number of composition/rhetoric texts, has published critical literary articles, and has authored a number of bestselling books on action figures and pop culture: Warman’s Action Figures Field Guide, Transformers: Identification & Price Guide, Warman’s Field Guide to Transformers, The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994 (1st & 2nd editions), and the recently-released Totally Tubular 80’s Toys. November! Cool.
Trailbreaker77
That is cool, but I've never cared for Howard or his sense of humor still cool though.

And NJCC April 2011 made the Howard Stern Show on 4/26/11!

Don't take it to heart, this is what he does to everybody.

I paid $55.00 for it.
Mutantx
Just out of curiosity how much did the Energon Grimlock/Swoop cost?
DESTRO
My haul from the show and a Cool shot of Barricade with The Baroness. A huge Thank You to all who attended, see you in November……

I missed last years, but made it this year. It was great, though smaller than I expected. Came home with some nice items including a free JoeCon exclusive Tele-Viper through the raffle. Don't really collect G.I. Joe so I guess I'll pop it up on eBay or something.

Yeah, well the arms were all one piece but I had to put on the torso separate. When DOTM comes out i'll upgrade the suit so it doesn't break. It could transform but the arm broke and someone hit my smokestack
Maybe I'll win next year

Here are a few pics we took today at the convention.

Ooooh. Yeah, that was a kickass Prime! When you said the arm broke as you were driving to the Con, I made the joke "You were wearing that while driving?!?"
Vaderhater2005
I was in costume (Optimus Prime) but suit malfunction so it couldn't transform as planned
DevilzFan
Had a fantastic time! Thanks everyone!
DevilzFan
I'll be there roaming around once again in one of my NJ Devils jerseys. Feel free to say hi!
Pyro
I'll be there this Sunday sporting my Kamen Rider Kuuga belt. I can't wait, the Fall show was great!
cheetor71
I'm going to try and go. Maybe I'll run in to some of my customizing friends.

I really hope this gets bigger every year.

Mark's an awesome guy. Was lucky to have a booth next to his at the last NJCC. Hadn't realized it was he who "wrote the book" (as they say) the best resource books I've owned (for a long time too)
