Botcon has tweeted another guest update; another member of the Rescue Bots cast will be attending Botcon 2013! Maurice LaMarche, voice of Chief Carlie Burns and the Morbot on Rescue Bots along with Six-Gun in his one Generation 1 appearance, Thief in the Night, will be joining the rest of the Rescue Bots cast at the 2013 convention.

Botcon 2013 is taking place over the weekend of 27-30 June 2013 in San Diego, California. Find out more and pre-register at the Botcon homepage!

Ah, yes, the PEON WHO INSPIRED STRAXUS.

I wonder how many people are going to get him to sign non-TF items. If I had a choice of something to get him to sign it'd be Futurama related for sure. XD
Ktulu
That's cool, he's a super talented guy~
Solrac333
I wonder if he's going to do the same thing every night and try and take over the world.

Morbo, Calculon, Mr. Freeze, Egon, Charlie Burns, Toucan Sam and the Brain....aww yeah.

the only problem is that he and Wally Burr don't get along. I can forsee this being a problem.

Ah, yes. Orson Welles after the real one passed away.

Maybe he'll hawk those frozen fish sticks at the con. (Oh, yes! They're even better when you're dead!)

Everything I've read sounds like a non-issue really. In the interview I read he said he likes Wally as a person, just not so much as a director.
MaxxieOD
Probably a good thing he's going...only Chief would be able to keep those bots in line!

I'm so glad they got the entire cast from Rescue Bots. That's a reason right there to drop hundreds of dollars for flights and hotels. I'm glad the club is going in this direction. This is a win-win for everyone!

We added Maurice to the Rescue Bots page.

The Transformers Collectors' Convention - BotCon 2013!

Now, while we are of course billing their attending the show as them supporting the Rescue Bots show and is a great way to attract families and kids, I am a bit surprised (or maybe not) that there is any question as to the rest of the impact the Rescue Bots cast have had on Transformers and animation as a whole. Steve Blum and Maurice LaMarche just to name a couple I would think would be very great to meet in person. Steve Blum has appeared on Transformers RID, TF Prime, Rescue Bots and voiced numerous characters in various TF video games.

Maurice is one of the greats like Frank Welker as far as his impact on modern animation. Transformers G1, G.I. Joe, Futurama, Animaniacs, The Tick, The Critic, Rescue Bots and over a hundred more.

These two alone along with their amazing cast mates from Rescue Bots I would think would be awesome for kids of all ages.

Add in Wally Burr, David Sobolov, James Horan and Jason Jansen. And we still have one more guest to announce. Again, just a little surprised. But then again it is a couple pages of complaints, so as always we are counting all the fans that support BotCon year in and year out.

BotCon has and always will offer the best selection of guests and the most impressive Artists Alley for Transformers convention attendees.

Actually, since you bring it up, I'll go ahead and ask. How many of these guests will (or will all of them) be available for autographs? I seem to recall that a bunch of actors from TF: Prime were available for a script reading only in a past BotCon, and weren't available for autographs.

Knowing I could get (for example) Maurice LaMarche's autograph... that would be something I could get excited about. (My stuffed toy of The Brain is ready to go!)

We are still working that out, but as far as we know right now all will be available for Autographs.

How come you keep forgetting Sumalee Montano and Daran Norris as guests? they seem like obvious choices.

Plz don't take this the wrong way (of course I am only one person) but u said kids of all ages. No Offense I don't think "kids" are the ones dropping $566 plus air fair. Again don't get me wrong I look forward to trying to meet these VA. I don't think we (The attending) are seeing are money's worth right now I mean 22 artist is great and all but tht makes me wonder how many dealers are going to be there. We don't here there names like the artist IMO. Like you said people who support Botcon we come out....yr right we will for the love of the toys but plz don't take us for granted. I will be there with a smile on my face and cash in hand. So now that's my 2 cents
