There is an auction up on eBay for a loose 2008 BotCon exclusive Starscream.

One interesting thing is that the loose figure comes along with a tray, much like the Alpha Trion add-on figure that was available at the show last year. Head on into the discussion thread to sound off on it!

Hello everyone,

Up for action on Ebay is a Botcon Starscream in his plastic tray. I don't remember seeing what the tray looked like before. My apologies if this has already been seen.

I don't know whether the twist tie is needed or not!

That's new. Though it doesn't really show us anything new besides the plastic tray that a loose one will be shipped in.

Considering that he's a Botcon exclusive and there's no hidden shipping charges that's not a bad deal no. Still, if I want any of these guys I think I'll wait until Botcon when the guys who bought extras loose sets (no not the scalpers... the guys who always buy the loose set with the interest of recouping their costs... I'd be surprised if there were any scalpers at all) will be putting there's up on eBay. These guys will be all over the place than.

Not really. Botcon is only a few weeks away, and this is the first Botcon Starscream we've seen in the tray the bagged version will be sold in. I'd call that newsworthy.

Makes sense, with Dreadwing and Alpha Trion both having trays last year.

How long until BBTs puts them on preorder? They put Ricochet out already.

Primal's bagged Set version also had a tray in 2006, so there's really nothing of particular surprise about it.

I dunno, I think I can only really except repaints if they are smokescreen and bots like that. I can't get into the starscream repaint.

I understand the relevance of the tray. But it's just a tray! Now if it came wrapped in toilet paper, I could see the interest. Maybe it's just me.
