Fujita Asuza did NOT MAKE the WST sixshot. Someone else did cause i bought mine direct from that guy, his name is Wada-San. Wada-San gave Fujita a few sixshots to sell. but he didnt sell them.

Awesome to see Radicons on the list. Is there a picture of Sixshot?

i'll post mine when I get home tmw.

tried to follow the link to see the customs but it was broken or something
autobotx23:
The Saturday session was also the day they allow the General Admission to enter, and it was jammed packed!!!! It was also the day that Peter Cullen and "Weird" Al Yankovich signed autographs for the fans. I barely missed the 9:30 line for Mr. Cullen (and I got there at 8:30 ) so I promptly stood in line at 11:30 to get a signature by 1:30. It was well worth the wait!! I was able to get my Voice Changer helmet signed by the voice of Prime, and even took a pic. A truly special moment for me, as I'm a bit of a Prime fan. (Really? )
The dealer room was also open to general admission, and I did a lil' shopping. The great thing was being able to haggle on some prices on some other wise hard to find items. I picked up the Spark Blue Soundwave MP3 player for $40.00 and a BW Neo Big Convoy (Wooly mammoth) for $20!! Sweet!!!
I was also able to attend the IDW panel, where they discussed more of the new plans for the comic (Such as Spoltlight continuing) and some new plans for the GI Joe brand.
From there, I was wiped out, so I headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Paramount Party for later that night.
Saturday, 07:15 PM
Standing outside in the line, awaiting the Bus transport to Paramount Studios, I look up and guess who I'm behind? Derek Wyatt!!!!
He was kind enough to talk to me about the end of Animated, and some of the plans that Hasbro has for the molds and prototypes we had seen so far and what they planned on doing with him. A very funny down to earth guy.
The bus ride was fairly short.
We walked onto the lot at Paramount, where we had free dinner and were welcomed by Greg Lomabardo from Hasbro, and Tyrese showed up! He was welcomed by cheers of "Left Cheek, Left Cheek!" as he exited Ratchet (lights and all) and talked briefly about his love of the franchise.
Peter Cullen made a brief appearance on stage, and then Vince DiCola and Stan Bush did their thing. Meanwhile, I knocked back a few and was able to hang out with Tony (TonyzCustoms), Silas (Shimabura Prime) and (Shane) Kingbotz.
As Stan Bush did his thing, I looked over to see Weird Al! I grabbed a pic and his autograph, and then fought off the cold, as it was windy there on the lot.
The crowd had been issued armbands before loading the buses, and the yellow band group was the second to be brought into the Paramount Theater on-site to watch some sweet film of the movie. Micheal bay showed up for the intro, and he was clearly pumped for it's release (saved his career. man! )
I don't want to ruin it for the fans, but Devastator ROCKS and Bumblebee kicks some serious Decepticon tail (literally!!! )
Me and my girl headed back to the buses early, a lil tired, cold and tipsy. But it was a great evening. After a lil shopping on Sunday, I headed back home. Exhausted but happy, BotCon was a lil frustrating at times, but still, a lot of fun. Next up, TF CON!! Superquad7: Quote:

So wait a second.
........ the guy that entered the custom that won 1st place, did'nt even make it.
If no one else is going to say it, I am. I call BULLSHIT on Botcon & their judges
As for the whole Diorama issue, Wikipedia deifnes it as
"popular understanding of the term “diorama” denotes a partially three-dimensional, full-size replica or scale model of a landscape typically showing historical events, nature scenes or cityscapes, for purposes of education or entertainment."
ABX23's does not even fall anywhere near this.
I'm glad you had a great time, E.
All I can say guys is come to TFCon, where your craft & skills will truely be appreciated.
Solscud007:
I brought this information to Brian Savage's attention. By he said there are no rules against entering commissions. Which I think we all agree is BS. The bigger problem is that conteststants are on the honor system. If I didn't say anything, all of you guys would still think Azusa Fujita is amazing. That is what the judges thought.
plowking:
I'm glad you had a blast E....and all the rest of you guys that got to go.
Now that's out of the way, I totally agree with NP on what he said.
To even put AX23's CUSTOM FIGURE/TF into the DIORAMA category was total nonsense and BS......I really need to have that judgment call explained to me by someone that help to make it....what were you thinking?!!
TOTAL CRAP!!....E, you and the rest of the guys be sure to try and make it to next years TFCon....at least there, you'll get treated right, and fair.
Dak had told me that the turn out for customs for this years TFCon was way better than last years, so lets all vow to make next years one to definitely remember!!
frenzy_rumble:
you know what's complete bullshit?
I planned on getting there on Saturday, yet wanted to enter Autobot X into the 3d contest.
I received an email from a rep at botcon stating the person who made the custom MUST be present to sign it in and fill out the forms. I asked if I can have a friend set it up (air mail him or something) and they said "no"
then some other guy brings someone else's custom and wins?
edit: the email is from brian savage. his didn't seem anywhere near as helpful as TFcon's reps, another reason I didn't go to botcon

No, I really did pull off a Tetrajet transformation without any parts-forming. It's totally connected and made to transform. I made 2 figures for both modes so there wouldn't be any doubt that it transforms....and people STILL didn't believe it, nor did the judges apparently The "mast" flips back and sticks to his main thruster in 'bot mode, you just can't see all that from the front of the figure. I'll post a thread in the Radicons Heavy/Scratch with a gallery of Sunstorm's 2 modes and mid-transformation soon.
Oh, and I've also questioned the judges logic every Botcon that goes by. (I think they are actually Pretender Quintessons) Sometimes I wonder what the hell they were thinking with some of their decisions I hate to say it, but I think there is more to it than just simple judging criteria involved.
big hank:
ABx23 and all attending Radicons get a big salute for representing TFW2005/Radicons!!!
Kinda on/off topic but did anyone get pics of WST SixShot? I ask because I am in progress on a Legends SixShot, and would like to know if the WST is a scaled down G1 mold, or something new. Mine is a somewhat freshened SixSHot, if you will. I'd like to know what's been accomplished mode-wise at this scale.
Viagra Prime:
Thanks for the pics and blog of your experience ABX23. I was thinking about going (pretty close to home) but didn't like the exclusives enough to push me to go. Yes, I know exclusives shouldn't be the reason for going or not but it was for me. Seeing how much fun you had I should have gone regardless of the figures. I would have liked to enter TWW Shockwave. Your custom is sweet. Should have won something.

That's awesome to read, I might reference it for notes for my own some day.
BH- Sixshot is a custom job man, no scaling of anything. and there are pics in the gallery, as already mentioned in this thread. dak:
I have a feeling the WST is a shrunken knock off and how did the peel out prime become a figure? That was just a repaint of a statue.
REDLINE:
I think you're wrong on this one bro.

i might be... but gah! The wing prime should have won something....

I have known Shane aka KINGBOTZ for almost 5 years now and the guy has an amazing mind for engineering and design.
One of the best true Scratch-builders on the boards.
He made 2 figures this year to show how both modes looked and illustrate that the figure IS a transformer.
No snap-on parts. Just a totally well designed figure.
Shane demonstrated how the figure transformed at the booth he was at on Sunday at botcon.
It was a fluid transformation equal to any figure that Hasbro or Takara has made to date.
Not difficult at all.
It is sad and insulting that Kingbotz spent months figuring out how to engineer Sunstorms transformation, fabricate the parts, paint the parts, and then assemble the parts all before coming to Botcon.
Rather then jump to conclusions or bash someones ability to do something that no one else
has been able to figure out it would be better to ask the artist how he did it or to post more pictures of the figure in question.
Those that tend to make rash judgments about others peoples creations are also ones that have ulterior motives.
I urge Shane to post LIMITED pictures of Sunstorm so that others who want to learn how he built his figure will still be left in the dark.
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE.

Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE. | Whoa there. First, Kingbotz has already replied that it’s not a partsformer so your post is redundant. Second, RL did not know who made that custom until later so he couldn’t ask the artist for details on it. While RL did jump to conclusions about it, I take his comments as just an observation (to me a valid observation) based on the pics shown.

Right below the picture of Sunstorm you can read who created Sunstorm-
"The last one is an AWESOME piece by the man KINGBOTZ. I would be happy to lose to this entry! Unfortunately, I think they included my Prime's wingspan in with his measurements so, I was moved over into the diorama competition. However I've had SOOOOOOO much fun, for no worries! "
Also you can see a spread of KINGBOTZ business cards on the table.
Seeing as Redline has been trying to make a Tera-jet for forever it SMELT like he
was insulting my friend for being able to actully make one.
I have no beef with either of you but when someone calls a master craftsman like Shanes
figure a Parts-bot, that was just WRONG.
My reply was not out of disrespect to Redline, it was done out of friendship
and RESPECT to the KING.

The thing is that from one or two photos, it's just that hard to tell if it was a partsformer or not. I can say that you were a bit brash to jump RL's back. Ease up man! I admittedly am totally biased here, but I think my Legends Class SixShot will bring a more modern, updated take befitting the Classics/Uni. 2.0 line. His seemed to be scaled down G1, nothing at all wrong with that but in light of what can be done with added articulation, poseability, and less "boxiness" nowadays I think I'll have a quality figure to give this one a run. Like I said, I am biased!

That was the one thing that I enjoyed most at my first Botcon.
People treated people like friends.
It's all cool.
Shane told me that he wants to make a short video of him transforming Sunstorm
he may have to do that for the judges at Botcon from here on out because they just
don't seem to understand that his stuff transforms.
He should do the same for his Movie Frenzy he did last year.

We simply try to treat people the way we want to be treated, especially towards those who don't reciprocate it. I know I read that somewhere . . . . I'm glad you found that people treated you well at Botcon, too
I really hope he does this, especially for his galleries here! It's a shame that the judging has always been the way it is there though. Admittedly, it's very difficult to see that Sunstorm being able to transform. I think you hit the nail on the head with a lot of people simply writing off KB for being known for the massive statues, when clearly he's an engineering whiz as well.
BTW, that movie Frenzy is one of my favorite customs EVAR! REDLINE: Quote:

Should be be able to get a WIP thread going before the weekend! | With all respect, this 6S isn't meant to fit in with Classics/Uni- it's a WST I do HIGHLY anticipate your Legends version though, you might prepare yourself to have to build 2 hehehhe
Strata32000- I think you need to take a deep breath, my friend. It is easy to take thing wrongly when you don't have tone of voice or body language to accompany words you read on a screen. With that being the case, try to use a little more tact with your wording and also try not to react so rashly. I KNOW who Kingbotz is, and I have seen all of his works, so I know how talented the guy is. For the record, I've not been working on a Tetra-jet at all, just been heavily considering whether to make one or not, with the occasional brain-storming required to come up with a good way to go about one. If you knew anything about me at all you'd have known better than to react the way in which you did. Maybe you should read the Featured Radicon article about me? Drpee:
