Collectors' Club Subscription Figure Update - Delayed Until April/Early May

Not in a hurry either. Getting Scourge through BBTS and Slipstream through a friend.

Sucks though for all those interested. i was hoping this wouldn't result in anything like this. Hopefully this is the only hiccup

Ugh.. isn't it great how people who are super uncool about deadlines themselves are always "sorry about the delay?"

What would be the penalty for me being "sorry about the delay" of my check? They'd sell my figures to someone else. Would be really cool of them to give us the option to cancel and get our money back. It's not like someone else wouldn't buy them.

But they are not really cool.

I'm not even saying I want to cancel, I'm just saying their failure to do any more than point the finger at someone else and say "oops, sorry"- while not surprising- is still pretty irritating. Also pretty skeptical that they couldn't have shared this info with us sooner. A delay of two months doesn't just suddenly happen.

I'm getting real tired of people changing the deal after I've already paid them.

Wonder what the actual delay is considering a few ultra mammoths have popped up for sale already from china.

One thing I am a little bit miffed on is they took no time in taking our money, then they went silent with no updates for months. This is worse than a kickstarter I tell you.

what "behavior" ? Seriously? did we only make it to Page 3 before people started calling out TFCC AND the customers of TFCC for every single thing that the people who do not use the services of TFCC are troubled by?

TFCC Licensed the toys to be made, they don't make them themselves..... And they are giving us an update as soon as they got one.

This is the key. HASBRO is delaying.....NOT TFCC.

So, for those of us on the installment plan, I wonder now when they'll charge for the next portion.

I hope they stick to what they said about not charging for third and fourth figure until the second figure ships.

Yeah; I'll give the TCC credit for making a post about this; I was starting to wonder. And manufacturing delays - they're at the mercy of Hasbro here, so that's fair.

That's what I'm hoping. I wouldn't be all too amused if they charged me, say, tomorrow for the next portion when the first figure is still months away.

Why do people put up with the TFCC anyway?

I certainly didn't sign up because the magazine was great...just for Runamuck and s wasted chance to try to get a Over-run without paying with a kidney or small organ.

Personally don't care, not a single one of those figures was something I was interested in owning. Haven't been to thrilled of being a TFCC member as I was hoping I'd be. Looks like the thrill of getting the Run twins was enough.

They give great exclusive toys and a fun 5 minute read every now and then? That's why I "Put up" with them......

Sucks. If I had known the first payment would not be due until April/May, I could've swung the sub. Such is life, I guess.

It means not having to find the money so quickly for many people doing deals on the unwanted figures while there's all these 3rd Party Pre-order descending on us at an accelerated rate that need paying for in advance.

A small delay ins't that much of an issue but it's a good thing really =especially to those paying in smaller lumps if the payments are further apart now ?

Though if you no longer want them due to this you could write them a strongly worded letter/email or ring them up and point out they agreed on a particular time period for their delivery and they have breached that and so have breached the contract and you'd like a refund.

If they covered their backside by saying they didn't specify a delivery date then you might have a harder job of it. but to be honest you will not loose out by selling the things on even if you don't want them so it's more sensible to keep them and pass them on to someone who does want them... especially the poor stiffs outside the USA who get treated like mugs by Fun Pub.

If they did do that then I would suggest complaining to Hasbro about them and pointing out what they'd previously said and tell them to sort them out. As it's their name they are harming by association in acting poorly ( Should they happen to do that).


Usually they are complaining about Takara and how they organise their Chinese factory schedules and then they moan about how Takara don't like dealing with these small run items and like to mess them about over it, even when they know there is a deadline.

The mistakes over the years have been to numerous to list really... I think the problem often results if Takara get higher than expected orders on something and need to make more using up more allocated time (or lower numbers and they try to fit another item in between other earlier). for example Takara's Rumble/Frenzy/Wildrider and the FOC Combaticons were actually a little early it seems, and Hasbro's diary is trotting out Beast Hunters quickly for USA distribution.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone if reacting to the desire to see Beast Hunters out earlier in Europe than the stupid date or May/June/July. if those extra runs needed to be done as quickly as possible and they make them in the same line then they might not have time to swap the moulds to run off a few Circuits at the moment.

Not surprised, expected a rocky start for this subscription service deal. Won't surprise me if the 2nd and 3rd shipments arrive together either.

Thanks for the news. The waiting is always the hardest part. Beats hearing that they (Hasbro not TFCC) cancelled the production run. Anticipation will begin again in April.

I'm still wondering when the hell they are gonna charge the second installment of the payments.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I wanted Ultra Mammoth and Scourge above all else... and break-even or turn a small profit by selling off all other figures.

Wouldn't mind cancelling as an option frankly... money is tight atm. >_<

Given that I should've forseen delays... I really wish I went with the multi-pay route... didn't want to shell another 5-10 bucks for servicing fees though... hah... >_<

I could care less when they ship, as long as they look good and get here safely. There is enough stuff to entertain me till then. Haven't gone to a botcon, not going to complain that it isn't being hosted in my back yard each year (frankly I would like it somewhere cool when I do decide to go), but it is pretty impressive how the club does always seem to run into issues, over and over and over.

It is such a small part of my yearly budget, but it is more not caring about next year's subscription figure that is keeping me from the club then the circus surrounding them.

I would be bummed and on the tfcc hate bandwagon if it weren't for me being broke right now
