Check the news forum, they are there.

Out of country tax, for you richy riches, lol! Nah hope they clear that up for you guys….Anyways, shouldn't there have been some golden ticket pickups by now? WHERE DA HELL ARE THE REVEALS!?
griffin-of-oz
Just noting that there was a last-minute change for the pickup tonight (Wednesday) to "room six", which I think is door six to the Ballroom, where the Thursday pickup and panels will be.
They charged me twice too.
Yep, the main dealer room is a separate building, and there is about 10-15 feet distance of uncovered space… so protect your goodies with plastic bags if it starts pouring rain again.

Anybody know what a good time is to show up tomorrow for package pick-ups? I'm thinkin a half hour or so before each pick-up time. Mine's at 7pm if anyone wants to meet
Grimlockimus
Juuuust got in. Realizing that heavy bags and stairs do not mix.
Room I'm in is pretty damn spacious, old and dated a bit, but spacious. No bugs from what I can tell so that's good.
Bed Bugs
Wait…..you mean the dealer room isn't actually connected to the hotel at all?
Good thing the forecast is changing. People could have ended up with a lot of wet boxes trying to get back to their rooms with their hauls.
Grimlockimus
Wow, that's…damn. Calling my card to make sure they haven't done the same here.

Everyone staying at pheasant run may want to check the accounts they paid with, I've had my account drained by $1450 by the idiots, with no idea if I'll get the money back before I leave the country.

Since the location of the Thursday package pickup has changed, but FunPub haven't updated their Schedule… and since it is a real maze at the back end of the resort, here's a map I did up of the convention locations.
Note – I think this should be correct, but I didn't speak for Funpub so only use it as a guide… unless someone from Funpub says it is accurate and can be followed.
The Golden Ticket dinner (reception) has been given a location now as well, but also not yet added to the Schedule. (Broadway Ballroom).
(ignore the circled bits at the bottom, as one is just the main lobby, and the other is the section of the hotel I'm located in)
I wonder if the people who got a room with the BotCon rate ended up in the tower, and the people who got a room at the cheaper "3rd day free" rate ended up in the musty-smelling non-tower rooms.
.
dustbuster
Same deal. No bugs, but definitely got an odor in my room.
Primal Sabbath
Yeah, I'm in the tower, and it's pretty nice. I like the location. It doesn't have a whole lot going on, but the necessities are nearby and iirc the shuttle will go a mile or two out to pick you up/drop you off.

just want to thank pete and the other guys who run botcon for Choosing Chicago. I got to touch the cup tonight at Wrigley field while the hawks were coming down from the upper balcony in right field and give high fives to almost everyone except Crow. He wasnt there.

That Target was six blocks away and 15-20 minutes walk… that's not across the road like this Target and Walmart are, which are 5 minutes or less to get to from the hotel lobby.
(and Ross isn't exactly a major chain for toys, or known to have much in terms of a range of current Transformers toys)
Shin-Gouki
Pasadena had a Target and Ross close by.

I was just coming here to post this up – after the rain yesterday, the rooms smell like wet dog, and don't ventilate too well.
It was one of the more frequent negative comments on those hotel feedback sites for this place (the musty smell), so it is a pity that my room in the older section lived up to the reviewer reputation.
Oh, and nothing worth mentioning for toys within walking distance. I checked out the Target and Walmart yesterday, and the Dollar Tree and Walgreens today… didn't end up buying anything.
I think the most recent thing I saw were some 3-step Steeljaws at Walmart.
This is the best located BotCon to major chain stores ever (I don't recall a previous BotCon ever having a single major chain store a block away, let alone two like this year), and it ends up being a disappointing tease.
For anyone likely to check out the Target store in the city center during the on-off bus tour on Thursday, there was only four Transformers toys there today, and really old ones at that. The Ross store a block away had nothing at all.
Bed Bugs
Yes.

Sooo, you're telling me that freedom smells like ass?
Bed Bugs
It doesn't stink, you just don't know what Freedom smells like.
granty
Nah no bugs, but the rooms stink

If anyone needs a ride to the resort, I arrive at Midway @ 12.30 p.m. tomorrow 17 June. I have hired a driver to take me straight to the resort. The vehicle holds three passengers plus luggage. PM me if you are interested in sharing the fare.
