Botcon Customs and Fan Art Contests - Gallery Update

Each year, Botcon is host to lots of different events that are directed towards fans' interests. Two such events have been favorites of fans and artists alike for many years: The Customs Contest and the Fan Art Contest are both highly-anticipated events, and TFW2005.com now has galleries of both contests!

i'm still pissed that lego optimus won, sure its a nice thing, but man, that grandus and galvatron should of won

and special shout out to the awesome rust ironhide made by my friend insane galvatron, which, had actual RUST on it, seriously, he should of gotten 3rd for making plastic rust, the chemistry alone should of made him place

In all seriousness though I'd be a little bit freaked out if my name, address and phone number was shown publically on TFW2005, or any forum for that matter. You guys should maybe fix that for these folks.

You can show the awesome work without revealing peoples personal information.

I'd rather not comment on the personal info thing (could go either way depending on what side one wanted to argue for), but I especially like the Optimus Primal artwork. Brilliant stuff is brilliant.

not really impressed with the work this year. I'm surprised lego Prime won 1st. It seems the judges every year likes customs that are made from scratch. I understand why due to the amount of work that goes into it.

My kiddo is the one and only kid's entry. Proud of him to have the courage to do it, thought I wish he would have picked a different background color or outlined grimlock

Gallery is now updated to remove the personal details that were in there previously. My personal & heartfelt apologies for not personally catching this before the gallery got posted the first time out.

Please let myself or another member of the team know if there is anything we've missed on the redacting of personal details in this gallery.

Actually fun pub placed the forms there with the personal info, not the contestant. It could be cropped off of the photos...

I was under the impression it had been now. We missed it first time out and I can't figure out how for the life of me MPL is still quoting the unedited one, but they should all be obscured now.
