Botcon have posted some preview artwork for the Botcon 2015 set via their Twitter account. The penciled preview art for the 2015 comic shows off the world of Axiom Nexus as rendered by Matt Frank.
From the artwork, we can see a few familiar faces in the crowds, including Stampy from Beast Wars Neo, two female robots with Windblade’s design – and also, a character with the vehicle mode of Generations Springer.
While many of these are background characters, it seems to imply that this year’s convention figure set will use the Springer mold in some fashion, given the vehicle is a focal point in the last panel and almost certainly is the reason for the preceding two establishing shots.
Grimlocka go-go
plus the fact it's in Saint Charles lol
Just got done playing Saints Row 4 Re-elected and with all the transformers references this would be a blast to me lol

We better get a Blue Bacchus to go with Generations Sky Shadow

Cool, thanks for the reassurance! If offered individually by the Club I would buy it from them… probably should just renew. But as for the TFSS, I will probably just buy the ones I want (not worth keeping 1 and selling 5)
Composite Ghost
Don't sweat it, there will be plenty to go around at reasonable prices.
SpinalCord
Seems she has fake bidders helping her out… 2 auctions both have 3 bids and they're sitting at $3. Does not make me want to buy from a seller who bullshits people
Sammael
I've bought stuff from that seller before (as have other people I know) and the items were identical to production ones. Not everything is a reject…
SpinalCord
Would love to buy one, but they're all auctions and cost as much as it will sell for once it's released, and those will come with a box and wont be rejects.
Surprised at how many bidders there are! Should I be worried Lio Convoy will be extremely expensive after release???

and crok's, and cloud roadbusters, and… yep, as always… first to get figures
Thundershot
Wow. Lena is selling a LOT of Lio Convoys there…
SpinalCord
I mean I don't know, but the fact that BotCon 2015 bags are already in production seems to imply that they are doing the production for everything, but you're right… they might not differentiate between the two and use it for sorting purposes and have 2 separate production runs. And as you said, since we have only seen TFSS figures, that might also tell us something. But since Pete has BotCon samples, couldn't some samples have leaked also? So maybe only seeing TFSS figures really doesn't mean anything… [shrug]

nah, I believe lena wont sell botcon items until right around the time of the 'con… but funpub figures in general as well as TT and Hasbro are always available through lena BEFORE street date releases… I think they are factory extras, with some having a minor, very minor defect (my SDCC knights Megatron has a middle finger he can flip people off with due to a build defect, backwards 2 fingers… kinda neat – does not hinder any transformation molds at all)
for sake of the 'con, I think lena holds off – but I bet they already have some figures somewhere… waiting… biding their time…

I'd be more curious about how the fact that the toy seems to be "final form" (if in that bag, but that may be insufficient evidence for that assumption) compares with similar "final" arrivals in FunPub's hands (as someone else established, they've tended to play things pretty close to the wire in the recent past), in terms of what that means for how soon they'll ship. Does FunPub usually get their toys this early, for figures that won't ship until late May (same TFSS schedule as last year, noting that BotCon is indeed almost at the same time this year as last year)?
Having "BotCon" on the package really doesn't mean anything about what schedule TFSS will ship, compared to previous years. It doesn't really even demonstrate that TFSS and BotCon figures ship together (although I'm not looking to dispute that possibility). It means nothing more nor less than the (previously established) fact that the factory tends not to differentiate between BotCon figures and TFSS figures.
UPDATE: Just thought of something. Does the fact that we've now seen several leaks from the same source, but all of them have been for non-BotCon club merchandise, tell us anything? Just asking. Not really trying to presuppose the answer.
SpinalCord
In a BotCon bag, so it looks like these will be shipped out at the same time as the pervious years.

Krok w/Gatorader… in hand (but packaged)

They're likely for approval purposes. I don't think they'd have their final shipments in hand yet. I love what they do but they seem very down to the wire, so to speak. I think the final production isn't likely to be in hand for probably a couple months yet. I could be completely wrong, just me guessing.

That was certainly the truth in 2013 (when it was suggested that this was actually a mistake), and I'm inclined to agree that this is what happened last year, as well (without comment, as I suggested in my earlier post), but if Fun Pub actually doesn't intend this to be so (again, going from their 2013 comments), it opens up the doors for an earlier start this year.
Alternatively, of course, if they intended to get everything (including BotCon toys) earlier than they've gotten them, that could work, too.
So, the question becomes, did those figures we've fuzzily seen behind Pete this past week represent a final shipment, or some earlier versions for approval purposes?

I think once you figure out where Rattrap's robot legs need to go in beast mode, he's fine
flux convoy
I love the Junkions and have far too many of the mold. Yet I'd be all too tickled to buy different colors of them. I haven't bothered to transform either of those you mention though. My only beef with Rattrap is that his articulation is kind of garbage.

Because he was awful His original pink and sage deco, along with that not so hot mold choice and no new head did not read as Tarantulas in the slightest… now with the final deco I think he's brilliant. Still not crazy about the mold choice (I view him as a sports bike kind of guy, not a beat up, rusted piece of shit) or the head (even though it does work for his non-organic self), but I feel like that new deco just completely forgives all that, because now he is undoubtably 100% recognizable as Tarantulas. Plus, I am only a Beasties fan, so I will take what I can get and be thankful for it
