I hope it's a decent theme for BotCon this year that a lot of people will like. Maybe using the original Beast Wars beast forms for the main cast but making them more accurate in paint and head?

I think Sol Fury said that he thought the image looked like Corhada, maybe we'll get some more BWNeo and BW2 molds repainted, to go with Ultra Mammoth.

I really like the idea of more Beast Wars figures - whatever the continuity.

It's just annoying that we're all gonna be waiting on this announcement and have less than 4-5 months to plan, save, etc.

Oh well ... I'll complain all I want but I'm still telling myself there's no way I'm missing it.

I ask this every year but it quickly gets lost in the ocean of threads. Is there a way to order these sets online? I remember I used to have to scan/fax a form years back, but I'm wondering if they now allow us to simply use a credit card and order them?

What it really should say is....

"While we are locking down the details for next years convention, we will announce the date and location of the 2013 Botcon 1 week prior to the con so that hopefully you will be able to make last minute travel arrangements. At the very least, you could quit your job so that you can make it. Hope to see you there"

because if the Club goes quite for too long people start coming up with all sorts of inane theories.

There is usually a non-attendee option for the boxed set. The add-on souvenir figures are available at the con for attendee's only. If there are ever any add-ons left after the show they may make them available online then.

yeah, of course, if you're planning to go, you could always start saving as soon as the prior one is done, but it's far easier to save when you know how much you need based on location, etc.

The Corhada I'm familiar with has smooth shoulders, whereas this silhouette has quite a bit happening. Is there a different Corhada mold?

If Corhada were a convention exclusive, the answer would automatically become "yes."

So then my question is, can anyone make out the mold they will be using?

Absolutely. I'm always saving, but it's just so much easier knowing where it's at, when it's at, etc.

It's Looks that they are used the Universe 2.0 Galvatron mold,and the head look likes Beast Wars 2 Galvatron's head.

I'm - underwhelmed. That image doesn't really inspire confidence. The lack of a location is also poor form. It should really be set and announced at the previous year's convention, but that would take planning and foresight

I'll be honest, while I'll still have some interest in this set, I would be ecstatic if they ever made a new Cannonball or themed an entire set around his pirate crew. Or made him part of a pre-existing crew such as Galvatron's.


I was referring to the head outline. Has the hat (Albeit distorted) and his smirk. It looks like either the Galvatron mold or the Kup mold to me.

At BotCon 2012 they announced the set would be in the Wings of Honor continuity, not Shattered Glass.

It is one of the few Generations/Classics molds they've yet to use, along with the following:

- Classics (2006) Astrotrain
- Universe 2.0 Tankor/Octane, Cheetor, Dinobot (Please give us a Beast Wars Grimlock), Powerglide and Silverbolt
- Generations Red Alert (Technically), Blurr, Dirge, Kup, Scourge (Who still has a new head out there, if instructions are to be believed), Skullgrin, Thrust, Warpath (See Scourge)
- RTS Fallback, Lugnut (New head, etc), Mindset, Perceptor (New head, allegedly Reflector), and Strafe/Mindwipe.

... and once again the good doctor delivers.

We have said that the 2013 set is nothing related to SG.

We are thrilled to be offering more Shattered fiction through the Club though.

Could be Shattered Glass characters crossing into the Wings of Honour continuity, like they had Shattered Glass characters crossing into the Classics continuity last year. I mean, I do see what Pete's said above, but I'm just not convinced that FunPub is done flogging the long-deceased SG pony for BotCon figures and that there won't be something to do with Shattered Glass in this set (or the attendee figures...).

And, frankly, Wings of Honour is barely more interesting to me than SG. So, even if it is a WoH set with absolutely no SG, I'd still pass.
