Reposting this bit of news here so it doesn’t get lost in the big “OMG Botcon registration!” rush.
With the Botcon registration pages live, a pair of small pictures were posted of the complete Transformers Invasion convention exclusive set, revealing the remaining two toys that will be in the box. The pictures are large enough to tease at the toys used and the decos, but small enough to leave us in suspense for the full-on reveals in the coming days.
Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus seen here is a recolor of Reveal the Shield Generation 2 Optimus Prime, with colors inspired by his Diaclone ancestor Powered Convoy. The hood also has some mild flame details in a possible callback to Movie Optimus Prime… or possibly the Optimus Prime this mold was recolored from.
Metalhawk, the Autobot from the Classicsverse, is a reuse of the Generations Thunderwing mold. The robot mode is based on the design of Generation 1 Metalhawk’s Pretender shell, while the jet mode is sort of inspired by the vehicle mode of the original toy – there’s a few differences in there though.

For me,i do not like it in human form, will prefer it to be of robot form & with metallic chrome.
Prowl 2009
What a gorgeous set! Love Metalhawk!

After pics are shown for SG Ultra Magnus,i don't expect much from Metalhawk
cuters
nice i like to see sets that will not make me sad

I think Metalhawk is gonna be my favorite of the bunch. Mainly cause its my favorite mold if the bunch.

I really need to see better pics of Metalhawk. Still not sure if I like him or not. Well, I guess I don't need to see better pics, I'm gonna keep him regardless. But I'd like to get a more informed opinion….
Stepper
Eventually,Metalhawk & SG Magnus are going to be shown anyway, hence i will not mind whichever day they decide to show more detailed pics of these 2 figures

I remember that feeling with my first one.
My God, has it been 12 years??? I feel OOOOOOOOLD!
salmonman78
I got a feeling that they want to belay some of people's qualms from only seeing the tiny images.
God I can't wait, my first Botcon and I am way too giddy.

^ Hey, yeah, why didn't they save UM for SGWed? Just as well, think we are curious for the "surprise."
Megabattimus
According to their twitter, Metalhawk's getting shown next Wednesday:
And SG Magnus is getting shown off on Friday:
Insane Galvatron
So when are FunPub going to put up the pics of the last two bots? We know what they look like, but we need some high res images.
Stepper
Me too has the same feeling as you thinking that it will be like EHobby Laser Magnus but since the cover page of the Botcon 2012 has show the pic as Diaclone Magnus,i give up the idea of it being EHobby Laser Magnus.
n10zguy
OH now that would have been awesome as well!
Someone mentioned the "surprise" for this mold would be cool if the Head was a helmet that came off to reveal a exo-skull.
Doesn't really make sense but it would be badass!
AutobotMaximal
Agreed. I was actually hoping he would look more like the EHobby Laser Magnus. Oh well.
AutobotMaximal
That's a pretty good description of the entire Transformers community as a whole though. Always arguing. Everyone knows everything. We could use a serious does of reality from time to time.
Star Saber
Let's get this thread back on track shall we?
I dunno, he seems way closer to Diaclone Magnus than he does this

I don't hate Willis. I don't hate any Beast Wars fan, much less one that helped rally the troops for the Hall of Fame voting.
However, as Soundwinder noted, the strip has nosedived in quality and become a mouthpiece for his lame opinions.
Darknova4life
I think alot of people's problem with Willis, contributions aside (and I'll admit that the TF wiki is a useful contribution–not so much "Recordicons"), is his demeanor. He is routinely disrespectful, condescending and combative. That's why I don't like him.
WhiteMocha
Agreed. Fandoms just like to eat their own sometimes.
