Botcon has updated their website with their next 2012 Botcon Exclusive. This time, it’s Heroic Decepticon Treadshot! This figure is based on the Reveal The shield Jazz mold with a new head and the color scheme looks like it’s based on an Armada Sideswipe homage.
Heroic Treadshot joins the already revealed Shattered Glass Tracks, Shattered Glass Soundwave and Classics Gigatron figures from the 2012 Invasion Botcon Boxset. Two more figures left to be revealed; Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus and a Classics version of Metalhawk!
Botcon will be held in Dallas, TX April 26th-29th at the Hyatt Regency.

I'm glad I ordered the non-attendee package, Treadshot, Tracks and Magnus will look very cool in my collection, and I can use Magnus w/ my Battle Tanker armor to make the 'classics' DIAclone Magnus ^_^
A judicious use of reprolabels faction symbols and the (to me) Silly SG aspect is lost on the trio ^_^
I just wish I could find someone that I could transfer funds to to get the Junkion trio
Thundershot
Reprolabels will take care of us, I hope.
I'll be using Tracks as Road Rage, Octopunch as Classics, and Treadshot as Armada Sideswipe.

So…they merged the worst Autobot deluxe car toy in the history of the line with the best Autobot deluxe car in the history of the line.
I love it!
The only downside is the whole shattered glass thing. That doesn't look like anything other than a G1 A. Sideswipe, and I could easily pretend he was that if he didn't have a big ol' red Con symbol.
Runamuck
If anyone has any extras, shoot me a price. I really want this!
Scaleface
Looks like they borrowed from the Battle in a Box Magnus vs. Treadshot. Also, new SG characters… Treble and Gain?
Stepper
To Hasbro, nothing is impossible, hence maybe we shall wait & wait,LOL

Says the guy who buys children's toys as a hobby.
Take a second and recognize the silliness of your statement.

Well, you can call me a sucker if you wish, but you are only showing your ignorance in the most exuberant way. There are fixed costs in manufacturing that do not change whether you do a run of 1,000 or 100,000. Those costs have to be divided over the whole production run when figuring costs per figure. Obviously the cost per figure will be lower the more you make and higher the less you make. I work within this industry, so I know how it goes. Lower production runs = higher costs. It's just how it is. They can't sell these for "normal" retail because their cost is likely above that.
In case you are wondering, the fixed costs are for tooling, and tooling set up. It actually takes almost an entire day to put the tooling in the machine and fine tune everything. It has to be aligned, the timing between shots ( to allow proper plastic cooling ), the amount of plastic per shot, etc. The tooling itself is far more complex than you imagine ( I know I was surprised the first time I saw it ) and takes upwards of 4-6 WEEKS to create. Imagine the labor costs on that… And all of this is divided over a much smaller run of figures.
Now if you just don't like the set and choose not to buy it, then that's fine. But to say there's no justification for the price is just foolish.
Stepper
The colour of purple for Treadshot look just nice, not too dark nor too light.

No, it's more like "Says the guy who wasn't one of those people born every minute" if you catch the meaning.
These figures once again do not appeal to me and I'm just glad I'm not losing out on anything special. Because even if I did like them there is no I'll shell out that kind of cash for only six figures, so spear me your grand knowledge over "manufacturing".
To me buying this lackluster set will only equate to having more dollars than sense anyway you slice it.
Star Saber
Yep, or grab one of those factory pieces on eBay, but those normally don't come with paperwork
Dinobot747
This is part of the main set, right? So if someone wanted this guy only, they would have to buy him off of someone who bought the set?
Star Saber
It gets even better when you find out that Armada Side Swipe's Japanese name is Stepper who is this figure's mold brother
flamepanther
The mold would also be great as actionmaster Rad, Autobot Aerospace Engineer.
Insane Galvatron
Treadshot is SG, but Metalhawk is not. Gigatron is the other non-SG figure in the set.
Ikkstakk
^ Treadshot is Shattered Glass. Metalhawk is not. Gigatron is not. The other three are all Shattered Glass.
hordeall
So out of the box set of 6 is Treadshot and Metalhawk the only non-shattered glass figures or are they shattered glass as well? Sorry newb question.
DJW107PRIME
I was kinda wishin he'd been a gun.
Lumpy
man, i forgot about Stepper… need to get some money together for him, cuz i really like his look…
Insane Galvatron
Says the guy with no knowledge or experience in manufacturing…
