The official Botcon Homepage has updated with a link to information on ticket discounts available to Botcon 2010 attendees who also want to take time out from the convention program to check out the four Disney World Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. thanks guys… after some digging, here is what I found:
MouseSavers.com – Disney World Ticket & Pass Advice, Tips and Tricks
so, it seems like they do use finger scanners.
mineraljane
I recall hearing that Disney employs fingerprint scanners (or something similar) to prevent this sort of thing.

To the best of my knowledge, nothing. I think Disney frown on it and would take the tickets from you if they found out, but don't know how they would know.

Stupid question, what is stopping us from buying a 7 day multi-day pass and one family using it a few days before botcon and one family using it a few days after botcon and save the money instead of buying two separate packages of multi-day passes?

cooll, thanks llama…
llamatron
Check out the schedules from previous years, they should still be on the botcon website and it would appear that the format doesn't change too much. The line is for registration / convention exclusives collection.
Lumpy
waiting in line? i wish they'd post the schedule… i think i've got the wife convinced this is a good vacation…she's a disney nut…
llamatron
It's hard to say… Thursday night will be spent waiting in line until at least 9 PM, more likely 11 PM. Friday night seems to be free after 5 or so? I think it's just filler from that point on that no one wants to see ("MST3K" etc). Saturday night has the casino night or equivalent? Sunday is over by about 4.
Lumpy
what time do botcon festivities usually end? trying to figure out if i should get a few tickets for after 4, or if i should save my evenings for whatever…
HighCaptSpock
I'll make sure to check that regularly. Thanks.

If you are a Florida resident check the FLorida residents section as they offer different promotions at different times. Sometimes you can get discounts on tickets or hotels. And yes they do ask for proof of residency. I'm looking at spending one day at the parks with the kids and one at Botcon.

Jesus Christ!
Florida? That means I have to leave Canada.
June? That means I still have exams to do.
Disney World? That means the prices will be—OH MY GOD

Also make sure to check out the Extra Magical Hours. It looks like Epcot and Magic Kingdom have them. My Wife and I love Disney.

This was posted yesterday, by TreKain, in the Botcon thread.

Coo'.

Cool. But there are cheaper tickets available. I would suggest that people check their works HR. A lot of companies offer discount rates to Disney parks.
Costco is another place you can check for cheaper tickets.
