Botcon.com has been updated today with the official 2010 convention brochure! In addition to already-announced Spark and Breakdown, the Generation Two-themed convention set will feature the Protectobot Streetwise and Decepticon Clench. And also a surprise inclusion, the Robots in Disguise Predacon and perhaps the most well-known poet in all of Transformers lore, Skybyte!
If I may compose a haiku in honor of this news:
Poor frustrated shark
Has never had an homage
How could I refuse?

I doubt that, I'm sure they know they have a lot of people just chomping at the bit for Pre-registration. I really just want them to take my money… Is that really too much to ask? LOL

Hello All!
Patiences…patiences. I would imagine that it will be there soon enough. Perhaps, Brain and Co. are simply waiting just a bit longer so that people will get in tax returns! Who knows…

If you look below at the announcement on the page it says registration is not available and to not send emails asking when it will be. They just changed what it says to get people to stop emailing asking when registration will be open.

Well, there's been a slight update to the site. Before it said "Registration Coming Soon" or something to that effect.
Now it says "Registration Not Yet Available". I wonder if they've encountered some more glitches with the online registration?
Ikkstakk
The only problem with that is, the VAST majority of everyone who's going to register will be doing so in the first 1-2 weeks. They've really backed themselves into a corner. I don't envy them, whether they get online reg up or not.
Groundsplitter
I have to wonder why they're not doing both. Start with fax registration now, and if they manage to get the online registration system up in 1-2 weeks, just add the fax registrations into the main system manually. Of course, now I'm not privy to what features the new online registration system is planned to have and what complications can be involved in mixing offline and online registrations, but that is what I would do (and what the auction firm that I'm working for is already doing).

Agreed. At this point, I'd rather deal with the antiquated fax system then some on-line reg form that's being rushed to completion, probably without sufficient testing and which will surely have it's share of glitches.
Omegax80
I would agree. The convention is not really that far off, and the time it would take to organize the sets, the attendee and non-attendee, will take some time to sort out.
I am perfectly fine with the fax system. Call me old fashioned but sometimes pen and paper is the easier way to go.
Big Filipino
Considering that the convention is only 2 months away, I would think there would be some drop dead date where if the online reg is a "no-go", they'd revert back to the fax system. I'd imagine we're quickly approaching such a deadline.

Wow, it doesn't seem like any of the website coding is going their way. A guy I know called the people at Botcon the other day to find out more detail about the packages (what will gain admittance to the Saturday dinner, etc) and when he mentioned online registration they said "well…we may be doing online registration."
If we've been waiting this long, and they still end up going back to the faxing system, there are going to be a ton of ticked-off people.

Ha! It's no wonder that it doesn't work… I just checked the html code, and that button is not part of a submission form! Instead they have wrapped it in an anchor tag. IE is actually in the right here; that code is not supposed to work in the way it does in Firefox.
To all IE users: use this link instead. It will bring you to the questions submission form.
tantrum
try with firefox, I found that IE 7 had problems with the submit button but firefox worked find with the button
payton34
You sure? I just checked, you click on it and nothing happens.

Bah, double post…

They've fixed the Submit Question button. It worked fine for me a second ago.

It's a placebo.
For members, I think the FP guys are pretty active on the Club forums, so that's an option. They've got to be wondering why nobody's submitting any questions, though.

95% of the time, my heart desires to call them what the packaging calls them.
I'll just have to think of reasons why they came to have that name in some cases.

The "submit questons" link hasn't worked ever since it went up, and I've sent PM's without any response. Anybody know of another way to get in contact with them?
Trailbreaker77
Well sucks I will paying the same as the Primus package and not get a free figure. Maybe I can make it to next years.
