Aaron:
WHEEEEE!!!!!

In time for the podcast.
Beastbot X:
Yeah, I'm gonna be in the panel room a LOT this year.

Poor David Kaye, though. His one panel he's sharing with Weird Al, and you darn KNOW who's going to get at least 80-90% of the questions at that one.
shroobmaster:
PRIVATE PREVIEW time seems rather long.

Maybe they'll show the whole 2010 line up :B
mykticon:
I'll have to get Peter Cullen's autograph the first time cause the second mixes with the Hasbro panel.
I need to make a good game plan...

That's just exclusive dealer room time.
Grimlocka go-go:
Is anyone worried about the dealers buying out all the First release ROTF figures, or is that Hasbro's booth specificaly?

and as a botcon noob, what is MSTF?

Hopefully, Hasbro will have some sort of limit on the ROTF stuff.
From what I was told the MSTF is a Transformers version of
Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Grimlocka go-go:
^that's what i thought
Backscatter:
Glad to see the schedule! Phew!
Powersa:
I'm looking forward to pics of new toys
MaxGoof:
The Botcon brochure clearly states that "If you sign up for either tour or the Transformers classes, you will pick up your registration materials on Wednesday night from 9:30 pm -10 pm. This means that you can be first in line for the
souvenir figures offered on Thursday night. Sign-up today!"

However, according to the schedule, the club store won't even be OPEN on Thursday and dealers get first crack. WTF?

I don't think that's a change from previous years.
undertaker:
Anybody know anything about this "Transform Me" documentary they have listed on the schedule?...

Did a quick Google on it. Hadn't heard about this before.

It is a change. I remember going on the tour at Botcon 2007 and being in line at the club store on Thursday while regular registration was going on.

It makes NO SENSE to advertise getting first crack at the show exclusives on Thursday as an incentive to pay for the tours and then not even having the store open Thursday, giving dealers first crack at the exclusives, AND leaving the tour attendees to stand in line with everyone who registered on Thursday.

As far as I can tell, that would make what they said in the brochure a complete lie, wouldn't it?

Looks interesting, but I don't know that I'm willing to stay up till after 1AM to see it...

Agreed. I haven't watched all the video blogs yet, but, for what I have watched, I don't get a good sense of how this is turning out.
Jarodimus:
Saturday, 1:00-2:50 -- "Panel: Hasbro Review and Q&A"

I'm assuming that should be "Preview". Depending upon the news about Animated, I'm not sure Hasbro will want to be reviewed by BotCon goers....
transformers32:
I went last year but forgot the private preview on Friday is for primus holders right?
Hollywood Hoist:
It seems like it may be difficult to get autographs this year with some of the guests only having 1 autograph session. I'm hoping they'll release some more info about the Paramount party.

I don't know that there's going to BE anything else to the Paramount Party than what we know. It doesn't start until after 8PM, you get a free poster, Stan Bush and perhaps Weird Al are going to perform, there's a dinner, and a tour of the Paramount backlot. As much as I'd KILL for a ROTF screening, I just don't see how they could squeeze one in without the party going on until like 2 or 3 in the morning...?
blackout501st:
dose anyone know what days they accept general admission? i was told it was saturday and sunday, but i saw on the schedule that it only said gen. anmin. on sunday. is it on sat 2? i just wanna double check

The Club store will be open Thursday night along with Registration...
Grimlocka go-go:
Woot, thank you pete!
Wajo357:
Looks like a packed schedule.
Too bad I can't make it.
Hopefully this didn't go out to print yet with the spelling mistakes and missing information mentioned above!

It seems like the only way to do everything is to bring someone along with you to wait in all of the lines. If you wait in lines for the autographs you loose out on the panels. If you go to the panels, you don't get the autographs. I know this has been an issue in years past, but this year they have so MANY quests. The large number of guests only increase the number of panels and autograph sessions that people are going to have to miss...

Phew... I was worried there for a second! Thanks for the update Pete.
JLvatron:
What's the deal on video recording? The last 2 years BotCon had the controversy of telling us we couldn't record panels. (and not just the classified Hasbro panels either)

Something that's generally seen as part of the convention going experience. Folks felt rather shafted.

Things I hoped you discussed:
  1. Overlapping the Hasbro Panel with Peter Cullen's second Autograph time
  2. Overlapping Weird Al and Peter Cullen's autograph time.
  3. "Panel: Transformers Cosplay"... what's that all about?

Unless they're leaving the "Preview" part till the designers panel on Sunday

since 2005 it's been Saturday and Sunday, don't see why it would change now.

Really? I thought that was new this year. (There's an FAQ on the BotCon site that says the following):
Quote:
Question: Can I use my video camera in the Panels or at the Party at Paramount?
Answer: While still cameras are welcome, no video or audio recording devices are allowed in the Panel Room or at Paramount. Violators will have cameras and/or recording devices confiscated. These rules are applied so that we do not break agreements with our celebrity guests.

I'm inclined to agree, but I'll make do without. Lots of typing....
alfred p. sloan:
I'm not going but local man tfgeek71 is so I was interested in looking at the sched.

This looks like a GREAT con. Better than the 07 one with the exception of the exclusive toys. (07 was the best exclusive set evar!)

a very nice 25th aniversary con.
airfox:
It seems I won't go to the dealer room on Saturday.
