Artist Matt Frank to Attend TFExpo 2012!

We've received an update from the good people at Kansas' very own Transformers convention, TFExpo, letting us know that they have added another guest to the line-up. Artist Matt Frank, who has worked on the Transformers Collector's Club comic strip Flash Forward along with IDW's Godzilla comics will be available to meet fans and sign autographs throughout the day. Check out his awesome "Transformers VS Godzilla" art to the left of this story for a sample of Matt's great work.

Matt Frank will be joining previously announced guests Garry Chalk and the Integrated Media Group, who helped work on the visuals for the 2007 live action Transformers movie. TFExpo is taking place in Wichita, Kansas on 4 August 2012! Head on over to the TFExpo homepage to preregister now, and please bear in mind if you plan to preregister not to wait too long, as the final deadline for preregistration is 8 July.

Okay, unless there's some sort of magic miracle of finances in the next couple months, I won't be going to this convention, but I just want to say to everyone who is going: please support Matt. I met him at G-Fest a few years ago and he is one of the coolest, most talented people I've ever met.

I really do recommend getting something from him, even if it's just a sketchbook. He's a terrific guy, a terrific artist and needs more exposure.

I've checked the website, but was wondering what time does the convention start? I'm most interested in the Dealer Room, really, always a chance for some great deals.

The doors open for general attendees at 10AM, but pre-registrants get in at 9AM. Pre-registrants also receive early admission to the Garry Chalk autograph line, seating in the front rows of the Panel Room, a souvenir t-shirt, admission to the Saturday Night Pizza Party and Script Reading, and another surprise I'm not at liberty to discuss yet.

But Pre-registration closes July 8th, so don't wait!

We hope to have the full convention schedule posted on the website very soon, just finalizing a few things first. Keep checking back!
