Our sponsors Robot Kingdom posted a cool update on their Facebook page concerning AGC-HK. At AGC-HK Hasbro's booth will have Optimus Prime and Megatron mascots, based on the Generation 1 toys, for guests to have their pictures taken with. The Optimus Prime is even able to transform!

AGC-HK 2013 takes place over the weekend of July 26-30, and will have an exclusive in the form of its own version of the Autobot Titan Class Metroplex.

Haha! Those are actually kind of awesome. I love that the Optimus does a realistic transformation.
Cha Chi

Total fail. You can see Optimus' head in alt mode.
General Tekno

Cosplay figures + mass release = shelf warmers

Cosplay figures + 'con exclusives = must haves
MegaDolrailer
I'll be interested if they keep the costumey proportions, they look way cool!

Yeah, I kind of got that. Internet sarcasm: not successful.

Until we see something with a screw hole, an actual joint, or a size comparison, I'm convinced that these are *Mascots* who will be "at the booth" as mascots tend to do, I don't think there is anything toy involved....

TRANSLATION of what it says on the news pic:
To celerbrate the 30th anniversary (of the Transformers), this year we will feature brand new Optimus Prime and Megatron mascots for fans to take pictures with. Full body painted with realistic shadings. The funniest thing is not just that Megatron looks evil, but also Optimus can actually transform! Just like one of those Japanese pretending shows, he can change into truck mode in one minute. If you're interested, must be there to see them yourself.

You see, although there isn't an exact word like "costume" or "cosplay", these are for you to stand by with, and they transform themselves. And yes, the mention of "Japanese pretending shows" (things like 全日本仮装大賞, there'r a lot of clips on YTB), so definitely not dead figure toys...

Also, the con name is ACG-HK, (ACG for Animations, Comics and Games) not Aga. This con has been happening annually for over 10 years.....

Thanks for the clarification.
We just saw this post and would like to correct the information.
These are not toys for sale, they are costumes and will be shown in Hasbro Booth for people to stand besides and take photos with them.

I'd like to see that Megatron transform. Now that would make this interesting.
TCJJ
These look pretty neat. I take it that they're licensed figures of some kind, like Wonderfest does. I'm still more interested in that licensed SD Optimus Prime, though. I wish we'd get more information on that already, because I want to buy it now.
guard convoy
as a robot cosplayer, this is the coolest thing EVER
Xaxis
Two posts clarifying this and there's still confusion. Someone should edit the home page news post.
AngryChad
Looking at them, why would anyone think they're toys? Clearly humans in costumes.

At first I thought they were ugly looking toys so I didn't bother paying much attention.
BLOODRAGED189
Their not toys of cosplayers? Ah, fudgsicles.

I know, now I feel sad and empty, that would have been something unique for the transformers for the first time in God knows how many years, and its not..
Valkysas
I prefer to think everyone who's posted after the correction was made are completely aware that they are actual people, and still want to purchase the people.

Can I sig this?
Feralstorm
We've had Transformers toys that turned into hats, shoes, and popsicles. Nothing is beyond the realm of belief anymore.

Found the website Ani-com

Looks like not much toys, so I'll likely pass on this one.

It's always more about brands than their toys.

In recent years, Hot-Toys' the only toy company with bigger booths and show new stuff;
Hasbro has medium booths too, 2011 was the only time they showcase something special - that year's SDCC exclusive.
