2nd TFcon 2012 Exclusive Announced: Garrison

Garrision
TFcon - Canada's 11th Annual Transformers Collectors Convention is July 27th to 29th, 2012 at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. You can find the latest update from the TFcon website below:

NAME: Garrison
ALLEGIANCE: Seibertrons
SUB-GROUP: Hybrid Double Headrobot/Pretender
PRETENDER COMPONENT: Cortex
FUNCTION: Solar System Commander

“Some people are born into power, some earn it”

Profile: GARRISON is the younger brother of STRONGHOLD and head of the special weapons division of Praxus. Years of testing and research (including experimenting on himself) led to his one of a kind Headrobot/Pretender hybrid design. With the Masterforce War on Earth heating up, GARRISON was charged by his superiors to deliver the Godbomber Project designs. He must now reach the fragile blue planet’s Seibertron forces before it’s too late.

Abilities: While his main Transtector is his Grando Battleship which doubles as his space transport to Earth; GARRISON uses a smaller truck based body named HEAT to handle more scientific and basic tasks. He also has a Pretender shell dubbed CORTEX which he uses for disguise and other high profile missions. Additionally he carries the legendary Heroic Robot weapon called the Master Sword, which was passed down to him from his brother. Sadly, GARRISON is hesitant to use it in battle due to it’s destructive potential.

Weaknesses: Unlike his brother, GARRISON is not comfortable being a super powered fortress base. While he can pack amazing fire power, he only uses it when the situation is truly dire resulting in not being the most effective warrior on the battlefield. He would rather be developing weapons then firing them.

This TFcon 2012 exclusive is limited to 100 pieces and limited to one per weekend ticket holder. You can purchase it when you register Friday night at a cost of $70.

TFcon 2012 features Canada's largest dealer room for Transformers merchandise, question and answer panels and autograph sessions with many special guests including Transformers Voice Director Wally Burr, Transformers Creator Bob Budiansky, Transformers voice actors Scott McNeil and Neil Ross, artists Derrick J. Wyatt, Andrew Griffith, Matt Moylan, Josh Perez, and Silas Zee plus Hasbro Canada, Jim Sorenson, Chris Ho (Vangelus) and Ben Dolle (Peaugh).

What mold does that go on? Hmmmmm.
DJW107PRIME
If they rename it Mr. Garrison & give him a puppet I'd buy it.
bradforj
To anyone who is going, would you be willing to pick up one of these for me if you have no interest in it?
MyTea Boc
Oooh nice.
megatroptimus
Garrison?

Scaleface
Garrison, Shafter and Shadow Bat? Interesting trio of exclusives.
General Tekno
You know, in theory these could go on any head that has a similar lightup gimmick. Like, say, Powerglide or Silverbolt's molds.
Fallout
dammit, i came in here to make a south park joke but was beaten to it.

i'd rather have a mackey.
Prowl 2009
Looks cool! Sad I am going to miss TFCon this year.
thielmj
Kinda wish i would get to tfcon to get this guy, o well such is life.
Fuzz
So only those that purchase a weekend pass can buy this. That's lame. We're only going on Saturday.
Backstop
TF/South Park X-over? who would have ever guessed. Any word on a Kenny Powermaster? only kidding toy looks cool.

yeah my buddy and i are going on saturday only as well. i had some words with the folks running the pre-reg regarding attendee exclusives, so hopefully they'll change it up next year. my main gripe was that i couldn't pre-reg for a day pass for saturday only, and thereby reserve my shafter figure. kinda dumb to only refer to those who buy full weekend passes as "attendees".

Oh you will see ^_^

I'm shocked no one else has realized it seems to be based on Grand Maximus.
Scaleface
I realized it, but I wonder what mold they will put it on. Maybe some customized toy that matches the color, like Kup?
MECHADOOM
I bought the set in it's original colours to have alternate heads for Stronghold, as the set is compatable with the Onslaught mold. These appear to be a better colour match, so I'm kinda kicking myself right now. But I don't know that I'll make it to TFCon this year anyway, so oh well.

EDIT: and the name refers to Garrison 9, the prison that Fort Max was in charge of in the IDW comics.

possible, but my guess is it will be displayed on a grand max there, sense its comes with the g1 connectors, or the fact that is has the ussual onslaught mold connector possibly a sticker set to make one of the colors of him look g1 grand maxish.

Japanese Onslaught?
Scaleface
I'd think they would pick a more common mold for the body, and it does say "smaller truck" named Heat. Could be anyone, but I like the idea of reusing a common mold. Henkei Onslaught is harder to get and seems too obvious. Maybe it is meant to be the Swerve recolor of Kup? Be nice if you could plan to get Swerve because it works as the body for Garrison.

Oh boy.
Nobody noticed they misspelled the name on the packaging?
Scaleface
Another body that was suggested... Garrison, his "pretender" and the small truck "Heat" from Armada Overload?

Yeah, I thought it was obvious.
Lumpy
Right on, this looks like a fun little add-on.
Optimist_Prime
It's a cool set... If you have a Grand Max. Is this also going to go with a classics mold?
Protoman
I wrote the bio so that it clearly is a Grand Maximus, and have the intention to connect to a Grand Maximus, but this form has a deeper story. Find out at TFcon with our exclusive comic.
trence5
Is this another head for Onslaught/HardHead mold?

It was obvious, that's why no one mentioned it. Who else would Stronghold (Fort Max)'s brother be than Grand Max?
PrimusVsUnicron
so it's Grand Maximus?

You're not the only one.
Scaleface
A guy from the cybertron.ca message board is saying Heat is the G1 Hosehead body! Or should I say Cab, as this is part of the Masterforce series?
