silverbolt = wheeljack in disguise
RatTrap1985
If those are the wave of the future for transformers then I'm out.
Mechafire
They all look cool (ESPECIALLY SHOCKWAVE), but why does Silverbolt have Wheeljack's head?

It's diversification more than anything. Transformers is a strong brand for Hasbro, so they're using it as a platform to get a foothold in the construction toys market's subsegment that Lego currently owns.
slugslinger2004
Most of the headsculpts look really good but the bodies are lacking, to put it nicely. It'll be cool to see what kind of bots you can build with a few kits. Hopefully booster sets will be available as well.
Escargon
I like them.
Deceptigtar
i would just want the heads for customizing.
Commandoclone87
Shockwave is definitely superior here as his alt mode actually looks like something other than a jumble of parts. You can definitely the see LEGO HeroFactory influences in these guys.
BenjaminXavier
I totally forgot about these things (or the earlier ones)

When are they supposed to be out, anyway?
AMG
I want Shockwave.

Take me down
To Overreaction City
Where people go too far
Over something so itty-bitty

It's basically just a subline, like Kre-O, rather than a full-on line.
Methos
Pass,They all have the same transformation. Not a good sign for a new toy line.
Fanatic97
WHO THE **** KEEPS DECDIENG THAT DEAD END NEEDS TO BE IN THOSE COLORS!

Seriosuly I was/am willing to tolerate it on PRime Dead ENd..but THIS....why can't HAsbro just give him his G1 look, they own the trademark!
Bountyan
Even the constructibot Drag Strip head looks better than Fansproject's.
Nope
Yuck, why can't we ever get a normal G1 version of Dead End? Maybe I'll still buy him or Breakdown, though.
Dinodigger97
I need that Dead End.
Prime Jetscream
Shockwave is amazables.

But the others are meh.

This is Prime Dead End, I think. Lots of the designs in Constructabots so far have been leaning toward the Prime style IMO. I bet it is meant to be a part of the aligned continuity family.

Makes me wonder why there's no dragons in the line yet though if that is the case...
Aernaroth
I'm still very interested in this concept. Again, the jets seem to come off the best, though there's some massive improvement in how some of the "ground" vehicles look in this announcement, especially Dead End and Brakedown. I'm getting a real Targetmasters/Pretenders vibe off Smokescreen and Cliffjumper as well, and while I don't think they look great, I'm intrigued.

I'm still convinced this is a line that's only really going to shine once people start swapping parts and moving things around.

Actually I'm pretty sure they said at Toy Fair that there's gonna be a Predaking vs. Optimus set.
CapnScumbone
it sure beats the completely non-transforming Kre-o or BTR. If i could make fully transforming bots out of Legos at age 5 then I'm damned sure a room full of adult toy engineers could too.

Am I the only one here who sees Breakdown, Drag Strip and Dead End and is thinking “Please, oh PLEASE, let there be Motormaster and Wildrider in the future!”

Nope. A Constructbots combiner would be very interesting.

And most likely a total clusterfuck.

I'm not overreacting. if I don't like something, I don't buy it. It wasn't my intention for that to come across as butt hurt or anything.
bignick1693
I see this line failing faster then the power core combiners.
Galaxy Convoy
They look decent. But I'm not 100% sold on these. Have to wait until the Review Crew start getting their hands on these for some video reviews. But so far they look like something that'd be fun to screw around with and see what you can come up with by mixing and matching parts.
Rotoraptor
This is....one of the weirdest things I've ever seen....
Hot Shot.
At this rate there won't be any new reveals for SDCC.
Cyber-Scream
More stuff I don't have to spend my money on yay!
barrelks
Not my thing, but hope they are enjoyable to those who like them. Interesting direction though.
soymonk
I get a feeling people will be using the Breakdown head for their FP Car Crash if it works. Can't really say the same for Dead End while Drag Strip is an "Elite" so I'm guessing its head will be too big.
Prime Jetscream

But you implied you were worried this would become the main line.
Which is why he said that.
Grimwolf100
mainly want the stunticons. hopefully they will make a motormaster/breath and wildrider
artiepants
i'd argue that that Shockwave has the best alt mode of any since the original. (not that that's saying much)
Stygian360
Hasbro finally gets around to doing a decent riff on G1 Dragstrip... and it's one of these Constructo pieces of offal? Sorry, pass on the whole damn lot.
Sideways77
Eh, it's another Breakdown to buy.

I'll probably get him and Shockwave.

I think you have a point. It is pretty damn good.

I see some influence from the WFC design.
They really missed an obvious opportunity for that toy to have a third mode based on the original gun by folding the wings into a handle. Such a mode will probably be more feasible here given the modular design.
DecepticonSpike
This is my first time hearing about the Constructibot line. Can they transform, or do you have to take them apart like Kre-o?
gokuz23
Didnt they already annouce these? But it was Optimus, Soundwave, and Statscream?

Apparently they transform without being taken apart, which is REALLY cool.
Shatterblast
Dang, I hope the weapons use 5mm ports, some of the swords and guns actually look really nice. I'd much rather pick up one of these for $10 and get a bunch of useful pieces rather than paying for 3P or shapeways weapons. They seem to have a ridge to keep them from freely rotating in the hands, but if the handles are roughly 5mm a little sanding should take care of that.
Smokescreen
The only one of these I'm getting is Smokescreen. The rest are easy passes.
SnypPrime
I can't wait to see where this line goes. They look like some pretty solid sets, especially Shockwave. And those head sculpts look fantastic
Solrac333
Nope.

My sentiments exactly. Just not my thing.
jestermon
Think they look great, and the kids now have no clue who G1 Deadend is, the repainted prime is all they know.

And when they see this they will ask for it, thus making money for Hasbro.

Also, these people saying they will be outy5000 for good will be the first to pick these guys up.

Why do people completely forget what we saw a few weeks ago and the line's decription, this is not the mainline of Transformers, I swear the short memory spans.

Powercore Combiners didn't fail it went through it's designed run with multiple 2packs and 5packs, only 2 figure packs and 1 combiner group went unreleased at mass retail and made it's way to discount chains and the UK.

There were tons of them announced in the previous announcements http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-...ormers-176715/
Scaleface
God I hate Bionical toys.
Noideaforaname
Wow, I wasn't expecting Prime Dead End to get homaged. I wonder how good his chances at a Cyberverse or a Kreon are now...
Crystal Convoy
These look so cool.
