Once again it’s time for another TFW2005 Reveal.
Hasbro has applied for a new Trademark at the United States Patent And Trademark Office. But this time the trademark doesn’t directly refer to the Transformers Franchise unlike previous reveals. This one is sort of indirect.
Titled as Mini Mashers, we can speculate that the line would consist of miniature Hero Mashers figures which would include (speculated) Transformers and Marvel characters.
The trademark was filed on December 4th, 2014 under the Trademark ID 86467419.
Trademark Description:
“Toy kits containing a plastic toy figure and detachable plastic body parts for affixing to the toy figure to form various caricatures”
We do not know when we’ll hear about this officially but Hasbro has been revealing their new lines as soon as they are applied as trademarks in recent years than previously (RID was revealed just weeks after filing the trademark whereas Airachnid took 3 years to do that).

I've just bought a load of the TF Mashers in the current TRU sale and I'm enjoying them greatly. I've got Megatron on my desk here and he's a really cool figure (apart from having a BayFormers faction logo rather than a normal one). I don't have any interest in mixing body parts so I guess I'm missing out on part of the point of it all, but just as figures these things are way better quality and value than those Titan Hero things which cost more, do far less and feel really cheap.
I'm new to the Mashers, but I'd totally be down for some mini ones.
All the peg holes on the bodies of the current figures reminds me of Centurions, so it would be nice to have some more bits I can plug on to make weapon/armour upgrades.
Hmm… who owns Centurions now? They'd be a great thing to revive for Hero Mashers.

If these are indeed smaller Mashers then it sounds like a great idea, theit aesthetic is pretty cool, and being smaller and more affordable means you can have more and make crazier combos.
If they simply are add-ons for the current line, I guess we could see the casettes or the like.

These aren't really for collectors, so not surprised at the negativity here. My son, however, likes them, and "mini" (more affordable?) ones sound cool!

I found one good thing for Hero Mashers!
Guiltaur (G1) – Transformers Wiki
I mashed up a deluxe MEGs and the next size up Prime with the armor.. Wicked awesome, I just need to get around to actually painting it at some point, the red eyes and lightning etc etc.
Kickback
Sounds like exactly like what PlayWithThisToo is doing.

I hope these guys eventually get elbow or bicep rotation like DC's Total Heroes toy line

So smaller they're mini Hero Mashers…..No Thanks.

I see it everywhere I look as well, and it just seems so wasteful!
Who are these things aimed at? What are these meant to tie in with? The recent movies? G1?
I've seen people claim that Hasbro aim their efforts at children rather than adult collectors, but looking at some of the character choices in this line I'm not so sure. Few children would be overly familiar with the G1 series and the iterations of the characters being sold, so I can't see how there would be recognition/demand for them outside of the adult fan base.
This confuses me even more, because these certainly aren't 'high end' adult collectibles, and brings me back to my first question.
There is also an inordinate number of these in stores, to the point where I've seen them outnumbering mainline TF products on the shelves. Adult collectors don't exactly make up a big chunk of potential TF buyers, so this point, as well as the apparent durability of the product, supports the higher likelihood that these are aimed at kids. Again, this seems to contradict the choice of characters.
I just don't know…I'm over-thinking things as usual.

so yeah… not feeling any of this action masters part 2 thing going on here. Transformers are meant to….. ya know… transform….
Spartan Prime
But… the entire line shelfwarms…

Might be good kitbash fodder

I don't know why I find this so funny.
Anywho, never did get into Hero Mashers, so nothing really of interest to me here.

If its mini-versions of the Hero Mashers, I am SO all in on this!

Sounds like Mini-Con type figures for the larger Hero Mashers figures. Which doesn't sound like a bad thing either.
