The road to Transformers 3 starts here. Transformers: Sector 7 comic book series is one of the two (yet. The other series is Transformers: Foundation, to be released in December) Prequel Comic Book Series by IDW for the third movie.
According to the official description…
“At last—the secret history of the Transformers is finally revealed, through the multigenerational saga of the clandestine spy group code-named SECTOR 7. Events in this series tie directly into all of the massive hit Transformers movies, but trust us when we say—there has never been a movie-tie in comic like this before!”

Anyone think like me that these Dragons are creatures experimented on by the Decepticons? Think about Beast Wars, the Mechanical Raptors…

*wonders how jetfire has a cockpit on his head in that era of time*

that's funny i was just telling john the writer that i felt like this was like transformers meets b.p.r.d., or the indiana jones of transformers books…

There's a correction to the credits listed.
The issue was actually written by John Barber with art provided by Joe Suitor. It was listed incorrectly on Comics Continuum.

lol I donno about this book. I mean it kind of looks interesting. But in no way does it feel like a Transformers book. And it's not the human centered side of it either.
I'd actually love something like that. But this…I donno, just doesn't seem to work for me…Maybe it's just the weird random dragon things. Just a little too much over the top.
Chopperface
Not sure what to make of those animals. But the Decepticon skull intrigues me to no end… the art on the humans here looks much better then in Nefarious. Thank God no Carlos Magno here.
Sol Fury
Looks good. I love the way the colorist has done everything with a slight sepia overtone to give it all the feeling of a flashback without it outright being in black and white.
Looks good so far. I'll look forward to getting it.
piratesvscowboy
i know it doesn't look like it, but robots DO show up later in the issue…

Cptn Archibald Witwicky = first transformers fan?

im liking it! im a sucker for things that are set in the past anyway. this sounds like it will be the best TF movie comic in a while!
Alienbot
Lol, this seems fun, like Transformers meets BPRD, I guess the idea is to just to do a fun non-canon story that also includes details of TF3's backstory.
Ra88
Don't count on it. They just seem like some generic, prehistoric cave dwelling monsters that were used to sell these two as paranormal investigators. That's the impression I'm getting from it, anyways.
MenasorMaster
Actually its quite cool but its also pretty weird. I am sure those dragons are pretenders.
Fago
So, Sector 7 is actually "The Adventures of Sherlock Simmons"… weird, but not too bad so far. And, yeah, dragons?!? Really?!?
Fit For natalie
Interesting.
Superficially, the initial scene reminds me a little of the Hearts of Steel mini-series. Also, impressed they recalled the scene from the 2007 movie prequel, turning one of those two previously anonymous characters into Simmons' ancestor. Similar art and same dialogue, too.
That's better continuity than most IDW TF books
Simmons later changes his tune. A scene set later on with those two characters when they discuss what to do with Witwicky and the expedition to see the "mega man" is was in the 2007 movie prequel.
ThinkTank Customs
oh super…. no f movie is freakshow with dragons and dinosaurs, like journey to the middle of earth… really hate it now!
MenasorMaster
WTF ??
Karhukjnsi
W-were those Dragons? O__o
Yet he doubts the metal "mega" man?
