Thanks!
I'll go back and read that. Although, just being in pen together doesn't leave Razorclaw much leadership responsibility
I remember Slag challenged Grimlock for Leadership back in the original Animated series, so yeah it made sense that with Grimlock away none of the other Dinobots would challenge him. But Rampage seemed very in control to me while he was leading the team on earth, so I wondered how quickly he'd want to relinquish that power. Ah well, the Predacons haven't had a lot of time to shine in RID yet, so maybe we'll see more soon.
Haha, figures. He's definitely the brains of the operation.
Kraken
I think Razorclaw was seen in the Decepticon pen before Prowl released them, along with at least one other Predacon but I'm not sure which one, possibly Rampage.
EDIT: Why do I always forget the Wiki exists? Razorclaw, Rampage and Divebomb all in the pen in the Autonomy Lesson, RID #1
Starscream Gaga
IIRC Onslaught actually said at one point Swindle was usually the leader.

Can you cite your reference to your last sentence? Was this in RID (which issues)? Not doubting you I just want to go back and read them. I have the entire IDW run from AHM through the latest issues of MtME and RID on comixology so I don't mind back tracking, as long as I know how far back to go.
Sockie
Just because Razorclaw had been separated; otherwise, he does lead the Predacons regularly in IDW and almost certainly did take leadership back up when they were reunited on Cybertron.

And stormbringer was well before international incident wasn't it? I don't even think they had their beast alt modes in it. International Incident was part of the ongoing series that happened after All Hail Megatron if I recall correctly. Razorclaw was definitely not leading the Predacons at that point was all I was saying.

AHAHA! FOOLS! these are all games of deception!!! prowl has been long dead… the prowl you see is actually SCRAPPER reconstructed into the looks of prowl, now he is in autobot high command and has a more focused team for destruction of the autobots, the postwar IACON attack by megatron, soundwave and bombshell was only a diversion for greater plan! … ALL HAIL MEGATRON! LEADER OF DECEPTICONS! NYAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
love the cover, though i never liked the idea of mixmaster with a face plate.
Rung
actually razorclaw was in charge during the stormbringer…
it's only natural for slag to lead the team when grimlock's gone. you can't lend the leadership to sludge or swoop or snarl.
Technostorm98
Well, blame G1 for that, they could've just made Hook the friggin leader
Technostorm98
I suppose, as long as we get a toy of Prowlestator.
Molini
It seems in IDW many of the traditional team leaders have been separated from their squads and replaced by another member.
Predacons were being led by Rampage during International Incident and Razor Claw was off Earth.
Slag/Slug leads the Dinobots while Grimlock is gone.
Prowl obviously leads the constructicons now.
Motormaster, Onslaught, Scattershot and Silverbolt seemed to be in their rightful leadership roles in the IDW ongoing, however, is it just me or did Swindle seem to be the real bot calling the shots for the Combaticons?

I wonder if this year's SDCC exclusive will be Prowlastator?!
I have to admit though, I would love a 3rd party version of Prowlastator that includes Scrapper amd makes Hook a quadruple changer so you can choose to make Devastator too.
Never happen, but hey dreams right
User_93049
No, IDW Devastator was the traditional G1 stype, sans kibble needed to form the gesalt, but since Scrapper got scrapped (heh), they needed a new leg.
Plus they all got new bodies. Now Hook is the leg.
GAUGE
So I guess Devastator is pretty much a scramble city combiner then?
IgnikaMarcus
Well, with Scrapper……. scrapped, their current leader, Prowl, IS THE HEAD!
Good enough for you?
adambman
True, and furthermore, my reading of the situation was that among the Constructicons, Scrapper had the leadership skills, though Hook (who has most commonly formed the head) seems to be the smartest. This hypothesis plays off two points:
1. As smart as Hook may be, if forming the head has any correlation to intellect, then it's fairly understandable that Prowl now takes on that part of the gestalt.
2. Any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan will understand or at least be accustomed to the arrangement of the smartest team member (Donatello) not necessarily being the leader (Leonardo).
Macross7
Well in a way, its smart. What enemy aims for the leg. They always shoot for the head or body
Technostorm98
Doesn't seem stupid that the leader is a FOOT, not a torso or head piece like EVERY OTHER COMBINER.
Technostorm98
I think Hasbro will make a Generations Devastator soon. it seems that most important characters in the current IDW ongoing get a Generations Roy based off their design. So a Devastator w/ Scrapper ('cause it ain't Devastator without the original 6) would be nice.
They could even make a new Prowl that works as the head. Or a 3rd party can do that, also redesigning Mixmaster (I think it's him) to become the other foot.
BScorpinok75
so wonder if we'd have a better chance at a five bot construticon combiner without scrapper and scrapper redeco from scoop
